Chapter 22

Chapter 22: I did it again.

Well now, it's finally time to practice magic.

Magic. In modern society, it's a p.r.o.noun of common fantasy product in anime and manga.

In this world, it's a natural occurrence.

I never tried going outside, so I'm not sure whether it's true or not.

So, from what I see in the monster picture book, the earth dragon, or me to be exact, can use the earth element magic.

The earth element, huh.

Hmm, the image it gives off is too plain.

It isn't flashy like the unique magic breath at all.

It was written like this.

Earth Magic (Simple Version)

Beginner-cla.s.s: Can raise spear and s.h.i.+eld from earth.

Intermediate-cla.s.s: Can generate and shoot rock.

Advanced-cla.s.s: Can use multiple large golems.

General-cla.s.s: Can bury an army using mudslide.

King-cla.s.s: Can bury a town using sandstorm.

Pope-cla.s.s: Earthquake and fissure that can destroy several towns.

Saint-cla.s.s: Can change the continent to the extent of rewriting the existing map.

Soul King-cla.s.s: Can cause an earthquake that can divide more than one continent. Also, able to build a new continent.

Seems to be like that.

That's overkill!

The last one, forget a country, it can destroy a star!

However, as far I know, there's no other Soul King-cla.s.s magic listed that as powerful as it.

Magic in this world is scary.

Elibel, the demon king and the hero were truly monsters.

It looks like the rank was decided according to its power and scale.

That power and scale tho….

…..I can't use it for practice.

I just want to live a peaceful life.

I don't want an earthquake that can break a continent. If I practice that kind of flashy magic, I will definitely be exposed. For the most part, adventurers will come to hunt me.

Scary.

In the end, I can only practice making golem or weapon from soil.

Eh?

Isn't that what I've been doing all this time?

By the way, weapon-making or alchemy to be exact is a part of earth magic.

Well, whatever.

First, the golem.

The movement, power, number that can be control and size of the golem depends on the technique.

As far as I can see, this is no different from the stone statue I made.

I see. I was practising magic without realizing it.

Moreover, the precision will rise as you get better at it.

Oh, so that's why.

If I'm not mistaken, I already got used to it when I was making Senju Kannon.

Besides, the stone statue poses and location arbitrarily change all the time.

It is strange when I think back on it now.

What? I'm slow?

That's because I don't know anything about anime and the system like that…

Oh, I derailed too much. Now, where should I start?

I've made more than five hundred golems to date.

I wonder what makes a magic golem different.

Un, I don't know because there's none for comparison.

Ann? It's a waste of time asking her.

Oh, it's written that only the advanced-cla.s.s can use multiple large golems.

An advanced-cla.s.s at least.

So, that makes me an advanced-cla.s.s magician. Hehehe.

Alright then.

Let's start with golem for now.

While I'm at it, I'm gonna leave the middle floor to them.

Most of the golems that have been made were placed in the upper and middle floor.

If what I learned is true, these guys should move accordingly to my will.

Hopefully, I can make a self-thinking golem.

Yosh, let's do our best!

With that being said, this time challenge is a human-type golem. I think I'm gonna make it realistic like the one in the museum.

Even though I made human figures before, this time I'm going to perfect it.

I should be able to do it now.

I'm now a lot smarter.

Moreover, I also found something that looks like to be Elibel's research data. With this, I should be able to make it.

The upgraded version of golem, the High Golem.

It seems to be on the same level as the intermediate-cla.s.s monster.

I'm sure it will be a great help to the dungeon defense.

Let's do this.

Let's make it look like a real human.

First, the skeletal. I'm going to use the black steel to make it as hard as possible.

Incidentally, when I obtained knowledge of magic stone, it also contains knowledge about ore. Perfectly with their name and type.

Reproducing the ribs and skull. How many bones are there in the human body?

Well, this looks about right.

Next is the flesh. I blend the finely crushed magic stone into clay.

To familiarize it, I put it on the bone.

What about the eyeb.a.l.l.s and hair?

It would be nice if it has a skin texture to it.

Right now, it doesn't look like a mannequin at all, rather it looks like a Brut○s sculpture you see in the art museum.

It doesn't look much different from what I made before.

No, wait. That can be used as a material for skin, isn't it?

I went to the middle floor and pick up the said material.

It's a skin.

My molted skin.

The skin and scales were there because there's no place to throw them away.

Let's use this one.

This is not something an ant should be using as a sleeping bag. Seriously.

Now then, the hair.

Wait a minute. Earth magic can control earth, that means I can manipulate metal too, right?

Then, isn't it possible to make hair out of metal?

I take out the black steel.

I look on Elipedia (Elibel's knowledge) for ways on how to do it.

I immediately tried it.

As a result, I made it.

Elibel's knowledge is truly amazing. Ideas that I never thought before are flowing into my head.

Even the first earth magic is easy. It really feels like solving a problem using an answer sheet.

This is spectacular.

Since I unconsciously use magic before, I can now feel that I'm using magic.

It feels nice.

It took quite a while but something resembling thin wire is finished.

Stick these on the head and….

Alright. And then, put magic stones that had been cut round into the eye socket.

I really got into it.

After several hours, there are three finished golems in front of me.

Fuh, I did a good job at it.

I'm confident with my work.

I use knowledge of my previous life to make each of them unique.

Ah, much to my chagrin, they became smaller when finished.

Molted skin works pretty well.

I don't mind using them. After all, they will come off again.

Overall, the body is more of a female than a male.

I wanted to make them muscular, something like ripped muscle but since I couldn't do well on the sides I had to make them womanish.

It doesn't matter. As long as they can move.

Now, for the finis.h.i.+ng.

There's a small dent in the head of the golem.

It will be completed once the magic stone is placed in there for power.

I put the magic stone, which contains magical power, into each of them.

Insert.

Now with this, it should move.

Something surprising happens.

The stone statue -which just a mineral before- is now tinged with color of skin. The color spread through the hair and finally turned into a real thing.

Or rather, they turned into a real human.

Huh? What's this?

I followed the instruction book but it never said anything like this.

The smooth mannequin-like body is fleshy and seems to be really alive.

Huh? Eeeh? What's just happened?

Shortly after, one of them opens its eyes.

And in addition to that, it's the most powerful and the longest one to make.

To be able to instantly move, it's the ultimate masterpiece that pursues body balance to the limit.

My best High Golem blinked several times before turning this way.

It doesn't move like a stone statue at all.

It moves just like a real human.

"Nice to meet you, father. Thank you very much for bringing me into this world."

Falling on a knee with a hand on its chest, like a knight pledging allegiance, the High Golem declared so.

Naked.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAARRGGH!!!

I was really shocked.
