Chapter 178 – Beautiful, Of Course

It was already midday.

On the lawn in front of the castle, there were horse-drawn carriages and a lot of horses.

Gort was stationed at the gates of the castle welcoming the guests. He enthusiastically spoke with every n.o.bleman who came to the ceremony. Only important guests will be greeted by Liszt himself.

His grandmother, Madam Penelope, was an example.

“Grandmother,it must have been hard for you to come all this way. I am sorry to have let you come from such a distance.” Liszt and Madam Penelope gently hugged.

“A sprite birth is something the Tulips have not celebrated for years, of course I'm coming.” Madam Penelope's body remains stiff, clad in a black dress and a black hat, “It's just the road was so long, and the carriage was shaking my old bones.”

"How come? Your body is so strong that even riding should be easy for you. “Liszt smiled and gave Madam Penelope's arm to Mrs. Morrison and said, “Help the old lady to rest upstairs, careful of the steps of the stairs. “

“Master, please rest a.s.sured.”

Mrs. Morrison accompanied Madam Penelope, holding the old lady to go upstairs to rest.

Liszt watched his grandmother enter the castle. When he looked back he saw Lvera who came with her grandmother,  “My dear sister,I haven't seen you for a long time. Thank you for coming.”

“It hasn't been that long. ” Lvera was dressed in a gorgeous outfit and her face was painted with heavy makeup such that she looked more beautiful than usual.

She looked at Liszt, her eyes flashed with many complexities.

But finally she laughed and with a warm, normal, sister-caring-for-his-brother  tone and said, “Congratulations on the harvest of a sprite, it will bring you countless glory, but you also want to think ahead ahead and not fail the knight's glory of the Tulip family.”

Liszt was a little surprised.

However, Liszt responded quickly  with a gentle smile: “I understand that glory should be achieved by charging on the battlefield. I believe that soon, I will be on the battlefield like our father and brother.”

After speaking, he and Lvera gently hugged.

He and Lvera went into the castle together.

Many aristocrats were already eagerly talking in the castle's living room. Most n.o.bles knew each other from the battlefield so most of the n.o.ble ladies were chatting with Lvera as she was a cheerful communicator. Lister didn't speak much and most of the time was being a quiet but beautiful man.

But he was always the focus of the conversations.

He wasn't just a pretty face.

Everyone on Coral Island knew he was the son of the Count who was hidden behind Levis and Lytton, and even behind Lvera, like a little transparent paper. However, in the past six months, even the most reclusive n.o.bles have often heard Liszt's name, accompanied by the words seafood, potions, and magical beasts.

Everyone also knew that the rise of Liszt can no longer be stopped.

One should not wait any longer to form a good relations.h.i.+p with him.

“It's a pity my daughter is too young, or I would introduce her to List immediately and see if they somehow spark.” A n.o.ble lady was looking at the portrait of Liszt and contemplated whether she would just do the job herself.

Lister felt the eyes of the lady, but didn't respond.

Half an hour later,Gort ushered in a new n.o.ble, Frank, his wife, and a bright  young girl.

“Mr. Frank, Madam, thank you for coming.” Liszt stood up, greeted them with a smile, and then set his eyes on the girl. “And you are?”

“Brother Liszt, this is s.h.i.+rley, Little s.h.i.+rley.”

The sweet smile of the young girl instantly reminded Liszt of a fat girl in his predecessor's memory. She was now 18 and so much has changed. The chubby child was now a slim and beautiful girl.

“You've changed so much that I didn't even recognize you… Little s.h.i.+rley, I haven't seen you for a long time. “

s.h.i.+rley winked and boldly asked, “Do you think I'm beautiful or ugly?”

"Beautiful, of course.” Liszt responded to the girl with a slightly exaggerated affirmative tone. The girl reminded him of the princess played by Elle Fanning in “The Sleeping Beauty”. Even her hairstyle is very similar, except that s.h.i.+rley's hair was a little browner, and the princess's hair was a little more golden.

Such occasions were not suited for catching up.

After greeting, s.h.i.+rley followed her parents and sat down, talking skillfully with the n.o.bles around her. Liszt took part in a few words, and had to go outside to greet the new arrivals.

Knights were huddled in a magnificent carriage with the Red Tulip flag. There was no doubt that it was Madam Marie and Lytton of Tulip Castle who had just arrived.

They waited for the carriage to come to the castle gate.

Liszt walked out of the door with a standard aristocratic smile on his face,  “Thank you for coming, ma'am.”

“This is your festival. If your father had not been on the battlefield, he will have surely come to celebrate with you in person.” Madam Mary also had on a standard n.o.ble's smile.

Lytton had grown taller than before.

He looked thin as a stick with a very plain look on his face. When it comes to appearance, Liszt can definitely win against his Flower Town compet.i.tor with one hand.

Lytton turned his face full of acne and looked at Liszt,  “Brother Liszt, where's your sprite?”

“Sleeping, you will see it soon.”

“I envy my brother. He has his own sprite, a thorn sprite. Did it evolve in Thorns Ridge? I heard that Thorns Ridge has many thorns.”

Liszt heard Lytton.

He raised his eyebrows slightly.

The annexation of Thorns Ridge was barely a stain on Liszt-after all, it was a count's prerogative. He didn't know if Lytton was saying it unintentionally or intentionally, referring to the relations.h.i.+p between Thorns Ridge and the Thorns Sprite.

It was best not to dwell on it.

He responded with a smile, “It evolved on the gra.s.sland next to the castle. I got some new species of thorns from Beer castle, and it hastened the thorn evolution.”

Liszt explained it casually.

He then said, “The guests are all here. Madam, Lytton, please go up to the second floor. The banquet is about to begin.”

——

The restaurant was situated on the second floor.

The n.o.bles gathered together, sitting in the arranged position according to their t.i.tles and ident.i.ties, while chatting and waiting for drinks and dishes.

Gort, as the host of the banquet, stood up and clapped his hands.

As his voice subsided, he began to say in an emotional tone, “Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming here in Flower Town, with our Baron Lister, to celebrate the birth of the thorn sprite.  Before the banquet begins, let's invite today's main character – the thorn sprite! “

As soon as the speech was over, the butler Carter walked in with a jade-tiled box.

He opened the box, and the sleeping Thorn Sprite woke up, rubbing his eyes, flapping his wings and flew right to Liszt's shoulder. It didn't seem as if it had completely woken up, and it yawned.

“Wow.”

It opened its mouth and made a very crisp sound.
