If one thought about it, if there were craftsmen and alchemists capable enough to be employed by the the prime minister involved in the crafting process, they would have included at least one decorative element, even if these were just prototypes, and they would have added properties beyond just being hard and absorbing impacts.

After all, their employer would be displaying their works before King Corbitt, Marshall Dolmad, and every other top-ranking n.o.ble who ran the kingdom, as well as the administrators dispatched by every duchy. Their lives were decided by the quality of their work, so there was no chance that they would pa.s.s up the opportunity to show their best creations.
