448 The Farm

It had been more than a hundred years since they stopped exploring and returned with Ronin. After the first fifty years the two of them had settled down in their cabin and decided to live like normal mortals, if they didn't, they would surely go mad with time.

Daedalus morning tasks where as simple as you would expect, except for a few. The ones he was working on now where all related to the farm. It was, to a degree, a gruelling task, but Daedalus had found a spark of joy working at it for the past fifty or so years.

His pride and joy on the farm was the Leviathans. It hadn't taken much to capture a few so he had gone ahead and decided to add them to the livestock. Due to their fast growth Daedalus had made it one of the staple goods he sold, when he rarely went and killed one.

They where as intelligent as normal fish, luckily, and Daedalus had a.s.sured that they couldn't cultivate, he had killed the ones that could and used it as a chance to learn better of the evolutionary paths. Now they had become completely tame.

Daedalus had in his boredom chosen to take on a completely different look and let his body age like a humans since they had settle down. Andromeda also did this as she understood his mind and decided to go along.

Daedalus had of course built the farm relatively close to a city. This inevitably led to their farm becoming well known, especially when the sheer size of it made it visible to the city.

Of course Daedalus wasn't stupid enough to work the entire farm by himself, he had hired many able bodied men and women to help in the beginning. After fifty years though, the helpers had had children who took over and over time houses dotted between the fields, some had even specialised on specific plants or animals.

In short Daedalus had become the mayor of a farming village on the outskirts of the capital city of the continent. Now he just had to fake his own death and somehow convince the people who new him that he was his own child who had returned after hearing word of his father's death. Daedalus expected this to be fun.
