Leila is now on her way towards Lt. Madrigal's office as she was informed last night that they found department were she could be rea.s.signed.

She knocked on the door and heard the woman's voice telling her to come in.

The room is just like what she had seen for years now. It's a small room which has a cabinet on the side used for storing files and a table in the middle which has a computer on top. A few steps from the table, it has a small bookshelf which has a few books and some records and files stored in it.

"Come, have a seat Leila", Lt. Madrigal smiled at her as she came inside.

Leila smiled back and sits on the chair in front of the table.

"I had already informed you of the reason why you had been called today. Yesterday, I contacted the human resource department if we have any vacant position in other departments and the most suitable for your condition is inside the Intelligence Department as an I.T. expert. Since, we found out that three years ago you took a degree in Information Technology", Lt. Madrigal started.

"Uhm, I only home schooled that degree due to my mother's insistence before. I did not expect that it would become handy today", Leila said then chuckled as she remembered her mother's insistence that time. Well, she also don't know what her mother thought that time to tell her to take a degree in I.T maybe she had thought about what will happen today?

"Well, you are very skilled Leila so I trusted you that you could do this. I already informed the intelligence department and they are really happy to take you in", Lt. Madrigal said then smiles at her for encouragement.

"Thank you very much for your help Monica. I don't know how to repay you. Don't worry, I'll work really hard from now on", Leila said then smiled brightly towards her friend.

Lt. Madrigal chuckled before she said, "It has been awhile since you called me that ever since I had become a Lieutenant. And also, don't thank me, I only did a small favor", Lt. Madrigal said then smiled at her.

"Of course, I won't call you that it will be disrespectful towards you Lt. Madrigal. I don't want to be flogged by our comrades", Leila said then chuckled at her own joke.

"As if they will do that", Lt. Madrigal said then also giggle.

"Enough of this now. Go to the intelligence department and look for Mr. Belmonte. He is the head of the intelligence department and he would give you a heads up on what your job will be", Lt. Madrigal said after she regained her composure.

"Roger that, Ma'am!", Leila saluted then smiled to Lt. Madrigal and went outside the room while Lt. Madrigal just laughed at Leila's antics.

Leila went to the direction towards the intelligence department and looked for Mr. Belmonte. She was directed to the far end of the room. She knocked on the door and heard the voice letting her in.

She saw the room which is bigger compared to Lt. Madrigal's room. It has a table in the middle with a computer on top. A sofa on her left side and has a side table with a vase on top and has some magazines inside the side table. On her right side it has a cabinet which she deduced to be containing some files.

She saw that Mr. Belmonte is a middle aged man. He's wearing white long sleeves with a black tie and a black slack pants.

"You must be Sgt. Cara. Have a seat", Mr. Belmonte said then points his hand towards the chair in front of his table.

"So, this might be your first time to work as an I.T. expert right?", Mr. Belmonte inquired.

"Uhmm, yes sir. Ever since I graduated from the military, I only work as a soldier since then", Leila honestly said.

"So, I'll just give you first a simple job of recording all the info that our I.T. experts gathered, file it in separate files but you must note what is inside", Mr. Belmonte said as he explained what her job will be.

Leila attentively listened as Mr. Belmonte explained to her what her job is.

"Don't worry. Your job won't stay long as a record keeper. Once we see that you already get a hang on our job, I will rea.s.sign you in a much difficult work", Mr. Belmonte said a.s.suring her that they will give her a much difficult job after this two weeks probation period.

'The thing is, it doesn't matter what job they will give me. I should only be grateful that they haven't kicked me out in military despite of my condition', Leila thought in her heart.

"Thank you, sir!", Leila salute though it only garnered a laugh from Mr. Belmonte.

"You don't have to do that in here. We aren't soldiers inside this department", Mr. Belmonte said as he laughed towards Leila's action.

"Oh, right", Leila said as she also laughed in her action. Well, she can't help it as she is already used to it but, she can adapt in her new environment.

"So, I will lead you now to your new working station", Mr. Belmonte said then started to get up from his seat followed by Leila.

They went outside Mr. Belmonte's room. They walk to the different route she walked onto earlier and they entered a room that has a record management written at the door.

The room is neither too big nor too small. It has eight cubicles inside and on the far end is probably the cubicle of the head of this record management section.

All of the people inside the room greeted Mr. Belmonte. An average looking man that's probably around thirty years old approached Mr. Belmonte.

"Good day Mr. Belmonte. It's nice to see you here", Mr. Herrera said as he said some pleasantries towards Mr. Belmonte.

"Good day to you too Mr. Herrera. I came in here to introduce you to your new workmate Ms. Leila Cara. She is a soldier but due to her condition right now she is rea.s.signed in another department. Also, I brought her here because you said to me a few days ago that one of your teammates resigned so, I decided to give her this job", Mr. Belmonte explained as he introduced Leila towards Mr. Herrera.

The people inside stopped working for the meantime to greet Mr. Belmonte but, they just look towards Leila direction and didn't approached nor greets her. Leila didn't mind as she thought that maybe they are just shy or just don't know how to talk to her yet.

"Oh, thank you sir. Don't worry. We'll take good care of her from now on. And, I will instruct her on how her job will be", Mr. Herrera politely said and smiled.

Leila introduced herself and after a few conversations Mr. Belmonte bid farewell to them and went out of the room. Mr. Herrera directed her to her cubicle but, he just went away without even teaching her about her job.

'Something is odd. I feel like I am not welcomed here. And that man, he said he will explain to me my job but he just left me here', Leila said as she felt that there is a change in the atmosphere around her.

She tried asking the girl in front of her cubicle but she only said that she's busy and didn't turn to her anymore.

"Who does she think she is? Being rea.s.signed and even directed here by none other than the head of the Intelligence department?", Leila heard one of her workmates said.

"Maybe she seduced that old man to give her a job. She's only a mere soldier, how could she do just that?", Another girl replied.

Leila while hearing all of this doesn't know what she's going to do. Well, these people don't know yet that she'll only be inside this room for a few days, while they will be left behind inside this room.

'Great, from Special corps agent and also a great espionage and just a few months away you'll be promoted to Lieutenant to being reduced to a mere record keeper. What a great luck you have Leila. And now, your teammates is really great at 'taking good care of you''', Leila said in her heart. Actually, she doesn't mind to be rea.s.signed as a record keeper, its fine for her, but, she just can't accept the fact that they are treating her like this due to her job before as a soldier they thought that she's not qualified to do a civilian work?

'You don't want to teach me? Fine, I'll let you see what Sgt. Leila Cara can do. Let's see who'll have the last laugh', Leila said then sit down on her seat and self-study on how she will do her job at least Mr. Belmonte give her a brief introduction of her job earlier.

Actually, Leila doesn't underestimate any jobs and she is fine with this job where she is rea.s.signed. She is just irritated by the actions of this two face people around her.

'I think I'm going to miss my teammates. At least, those were honest people unlike the ones inside this room', Leila thought in her heart as she is studying the computer in front of her.
