10 Chapter 10: Summoning All Representatives

-System Design Unlocked-

+Would you like to change your system design? Y, N

Yeah. I guess...

Suddenly the pattern of my player system moved and started to add more details. The panel had been graced with silver and gold margins as for the font it became even bolder and stylish. Overall, it became organized and tasteful to the eyes.

Nas.h.i.+ki Yakiro [HP Bar (279/340)] [Mana Bar (300/300)]

Cla.s.s ??? [Cla.s.s Available]

Level 10

Attack: ???

Defense: B

Strength:

Agility: S

Dexterity: S

Intelligence: C

Charisma: C

Luck: SSS+

Skill Active:

+Stride Level 1

-Mobility Skill: A surge of pure magic bursts out of the user's body, giving him the ability to glide with speed and burst.

+Ren Aura

-Unknown Skill: Learn upon use.

+Zen Aura

-Unknown Skill: Requirements have not met.

Skill Pa.s.sive:

+Herbal Master Level 1

-Healing Factor: Health gained from potions and medicines improved and increased. Scales with the skill's level.

-Medicine and Potion Effect Up: Medicines and potions will become more effective and efficient. Producing them will become more accurate and less error. Scales with the skill's level.

So, the one thing I realized is that the pa.s.sive skills have branch skills that level up as the root skill does. Nevertheless, I have two new active skills which I can use during battle. But there's no information since I haven't used it yet.

"Ren Aura."

Something's wrong... I don't feel any changes in my body nor my stats. Maybe I said it wrong.

"Ren."

Still nothing.

"Zen Aura."

"Zen."

"Ren Aura and Zen Aura."

Still no effect whatsoever. This skill is useless. How am I supposed to unlock its information if I can't even use them?

Koneko mumbled in her sleep. She seemed bothered by all that rumbling I've done. She hasn't let my hand go and ended being held by her since yesterday. She had been sleeping on the other side of the bed, avoiding my wounds, and her face looks so innocent and peaceful while she sleeps. I had realized that I had woken up early in the morning. It was still dawn and the room was still dark.

I looked over Ayumi's place and found that she was still sleeping.

I realized that Koneko hadn't reverted to her human form. Why is that? Other than that, I felt stronger like something had changed inside of me. No, it wasn't because of Ren aura nor the Zen Aura skill, it was basically my level. From level 2 I had rushed to level 10.

It was level 35, that Orc Warrior, but it only seemed I had taken half the experience of it. Since I was not the one who slew it, I had only received shared XP.

On the other hand, I flicked open my friend profile.

Ayumi [Hp Bar (75/75)] [Mana Bar (50/50)]

Cla.s.s ???

Level 2

What?!

Her level, the last time I checked, used to be 28 but now it had reverted back to level 2. Focusing on the fact that she also gained Level 3, it had even deducted by 1 now. She was a mystery, to begin with. Even Koneko wasn't able to use her Blessing of the Lioness G.o.ddess of the Crescent moon pa.s.sive skill on her.

She was hiding something.

Koneko, however, stayed on her human form. I began to investigate so I opened her panel.

An Icon appeared, decorated with a crescent moon.

Soon after that, I opened her panel.

*New Skill Obtained!*

Divine Form: Koneko is able to maintain any form she desires.

I opened my help menu and discovered that Koneko's level is bonded with mine. That means her level is the same as mine. So that technically counts as me and Koneko being one.

On the chair beside my bed was a flask with scribbles on it. I wasn't able to understand what it meant and I still haven't learned the written language used by the people here. If you were to look at it, you'd mistaken it as a scribble written by a child.

I held it on my hand and information appeared on my peripheral vision.

Recovery Potion Medium:

Usage: Heals a large amount of hp and mana, cures negative effects and illness, and heals wounds.

There was a note on the chair. I decided to pick it up.

Dear Hero, This is my thanks for the gift you've given to me. I had already gone on my journey and before I went, I decided to fight monsters. I gained some loot and obtained a legendary resellable item called Orchista Gem and obtained 20 pieces of Gold. It was because of the berry, it boosted my Luck to max 10 and was able to hit the jackpot drop. Although it only happened once, I still decided to repay you. I used my money to buy an artificial metallic arm and a potion to help you recover. One day, I will follow you and help you in need. I still owe you my life.

Till we meet again,

Ryan De Vier

Before I knew it, my tears had already fallen. I took his letter and hid it inside my armor lying on the floor. I laid back on my bed and Koneko reached her arm on my abdomen. She was really enjoying her sleep. I wiped away my tears and began to think about my future.

Cla.s.s ??? [Cla.s.s Available]

Wait?!

I just noticed now that my cla.s.s was glowing and an icon popping on and off like a Christmas light. My heart started to jump off my chest in joy and I began shouting inside the room.

My festivity made Koneko and Ayumi awake. Covering their ears, they glared at me angrily. Their eyes narrowed towards me and both of them clenched their fists.

"W-wait! I can explain!"

"Then this better be good! Or I'll smack the h.e.l.l out of you Yakiro!"

"You made Koneko awake with your shouting, Master! Nyan! You'll pay for it! Nyan!"

"O... Alright."

They locked their eyes on me and waited to listen to my excuse. Ayumi regretted the last time she acted and patiently waited for me to speak, and if my reason wasn't enough she's ready to kick the life out of me.

"I got a cla.s.s!" I told them, looking happily and joyed. My smile was beaming and full. Koneko was surprised and started to jump up and down on the bed. She was like 'I'm happy that my master gained a cla.s.s!' something like that.

"Really? What is it?" Ayumi asked with her finger on her lips, thinking about it.

"What is it?"

I flicked my panel open and focused on the icon. I realized that I didn't have to click it with my fingers and all I needed to do to access my system was to picture it. I focused and locked on the beeping icon then it clicked.

Beep!

It showed me a list of unlockable cla.s.ses but their names were hidden under a ??? mark. I was greeted by two icons with a different color from each other.

[Hero Cla.s.s]: Requirements met.

Gain a resilient skill effect and damage boost.

+Resiliency: Gain recovery boost while in battle. Hp will increase by a percentage when this cla.s.s is equipped.

The other effect of my hero cla.s.s was just a status boost.

[Apothecary Cla.s.s]: Requirements met.

Gain efficacy when brewing potions and fabricating medicines.

Apothecary Cla.s.s wasn't much but it's going to be helpful for me when brewing potions, decreasing failing result.

I guess I had unlocked it when I brewed a potion of Ayumi. Both of them joyed and started to pester me. It's starting to be a pain for me but I was happy. Maybe I could finally wield weapons this time.

I equipped my hero cla.s.s and as soon as I did. The whole area turned grey and rumbled.

"Wha... What's happening, Master?" Koneko asked.

"I don't know Koneko. But hold onto me tight."

PUFF!

Koneko was terrified and her heart was beating fast. She decided to revert back to her cat form and hid inside my underclothes. She popped her head out of my chest, inspecting the scenery.

Ayumi took her nightgown off revealing her naked body and wore her thief clothing as well as her cloak. She wore her hood and steadied her grip on her silver knife.

"H-hey! didn't you know I'm a boy?!"

Suddenly our eyes went blank.

"I CAN'T SEE!"

Then the light came back only to find ourselves in another place with three more strangers. They looked confused and stared at each other. Good thing Ayumi changed her clothes. It would be embarra.s.sing if she still wore her nightgown.

A man in a black robe adorned with white roses stood before us. The room didn't have walls and extended all throughout the place. White was the only color and light seemed to emit in every direction.

The man looked young and he had long blond hair. His eyes were blue and his appearance was very attractive. Like he was a protagonist in a harem.

"Welcome! My dear G.o.d Representatives!"

"Who are you?" I was thinking just the same thing when a guy beside me asked.

He had silver hair and looked a year above me. He was wearing black clothing and a white scarf around his neck. He appeared a bit taller than I am. He holds a sword on his right arm and his skin was pale.

"I am the messenger of G.o.ds who created the world!"

It felt like I was starting an introduction inside a game. Why didn't he appear the first time I got here?

"Why are we here? And what do you want from us?"

A girl wearing a full armor except a helmet spoke out. There was a snake around her right arm which stuck its tongue out in the air making a hissing sound. She had pinkish red hair and her skin was pale as snow. She holds a s.h.i.+eld and a sword at the ready. Her equipment is drenched in silver and white, including her armor. Her eyes glimmered in red.

"We have been summoned by G.o.ds! Each of us is a representative of G.o.d. Everyone here has been trusted by G.o.ds to save this world and become the heir ruler!"

He raised his arm up in the air and preached like a priest. His robe then turned white and the roses became black. It was like magic, out of a novel.

"Why did this happen just now and not when we have revived here? It could have had more sense if this had just started from the start!" I angry spoke out, echoing my words inside the room.

The three of them stared at me like I was a lost cause. I ignored them and focused on the matter. Ayumi held my shoulder trying to calm me down. I was still covered in bandages and I felt out of the group. It felt like I was the short stick here. All of them had weapons. Even the priest guy has a staff.

"The G.o.ds were waiting for each of one to obtain a cla.s.s, to see if we are up to the job. We aren't only the ones revived in this world. Each G.o.d revived a dozen of us and one of us would be the representative of them."

He looked down on me like I was a pitiful creature. I looked at him painfully. Koneko, trying her best to devour my negative emotions, glimmered in gold.

"So without saying, we are summoned here since the five of us obtained a cla.s.s?"

A guy with green hair that reached down to his chest spoke. He was wearing a green revealing outfit, graced with leaves and stems, and frills. He has a platinum bow and a small brown sack on his hip. He had the same color on his eyes as his hair, it was emerald green. His ears were sharp and long. He looked like an Elf.

"This world is doomed with days of Cataclysm. Each day will become perilous as each time it appears. Fissures and trenches will appear out of nowhere, monsters would crawl out from it that came from different dimensions. It is our job to protect this world."

I've felt like I've heard of this. Like in games, manga, anime, and novels.

"Fellow representatives, Introduce your G.o.d and yourselves!"

The guy with silver hair spoke out.

"I'm Ebisu Hatake. I'm a Swashbuckler Cla.s.s. A representative of the Ebisu, the G.o.d of prosperity and fortune."

Then the girl with pinkish red hair spoke Out.

"Agyo Hinami, Crusader, representative of the war G.o.d Agyo."

Ayumi held her chest like it was in pain.

"I'm... I'm Kannon Ayumi. A shadow thief, Representative of the G.o.ddess of mercy."

Then the green haired elf bowed his head.

"I am Jin Ichigo. Elven ranger, and a representative of two G.o.ds. Raijin and Fujin, The G.o.ds of thunder and storm."

That's when I realized that all of us were j.a.panese. No, only the four of them. Their G.o.ds were all from j.a.pan but I never heard a G.o.d named Nas.h.i.+ki before. It was because I wasn't a pure j.a.panese. I was half Filipino and half j.a.panese, My father was from the Philippines and my mother was from j.a.pan. They both met at an Otaku Convention, partic.i.p.ating in an MMORPG event. It was then I realized, when I was 5 years old, that they were both otakus. Which explains what I am, an intelligent, famous, athletic and otaku person, only when I was still Yuichi.

I felt out of place and I felt bitter. How can this be so unfair?

"I'm Na..."

*CURSE: REPENT*

+The user is unable to tell anyone about the Nas.h.i.+ki name nor its power.

Geez, that was painful. My eyes were glitching like static in black and white as my ears rang painfully like high pitched tone.

"I'm Yakiro. I'm sorry, I can't tell you about my G.o.d. I'm a Hero Cla.s.s."

"Must be the curse." the robed priest claimed.

"Pfft! Hero Cla.s.s? Are you a f.u.c.king child? Look at you, wrapped in bandages. You don't even have a weapon. What are you? A trash hero?" Hatake mocked me and hid his giggle. He thought that he was so cool that he could just say whatever he wants.

That's it! He's one of those guys who are very annoying and thinks he's cool. Those bad guy types. They get on my nerves especially when I was still alive.

"I also have an Apothecary Cla.s.s..."

"... So? Are you going to be a friendly neighborhood Apothecary? What will you do in the days of Cataclysm? Make medicines?" He busted in laughter. I just ignored him.

"Don't fight. We are supposed to help each other save this world." Hinami implied. She smiled at me and I shot her a surprised looked. She was cute. However, Hatake's face twitched irked.

"Huh? Are you sure? He would end up being killed! I would probably end up killing him now." He smirked.

Suddenly, Hinami's smile widened and her eyes began to expand. She began s.h.i.+vering and laughing, with a psychotic look on her face.

"Killing... kill... kill... kill! Don't get me started! Hwahahaha!" Her snake began to hiss in every direction, Indicating that all of us are prey.

"Oops... Looks like I got carried a bit. I'm sorry." She then began to change her expression into a cute friendly one.

It gave me a vibe that she's one of those yandere girls you read on magazines, manga and in animes. I should be careful, I don't want her to end up falling for me.

Ichigo stayed quiet and composed. He's the type of a guy that stays silent. He's mostly the strongest one here.

"You are such an interesting bunch." The young priest smiled.

"Now! Hinami is correct, each of you will work alone in different nations separately but time will come that each of you will help each other. In order to do that, we need to sharpen your bonds. Be more familiar with each other. Now I'll start. I'll reveal one of each of your curses."

"What?!" We all screamed in unison. Hatake unsheathed his sword and charge right into the priest but he was blown back into his position with holy magic.

"Don't make me kill you, you imbecile." His once-friendly face became twisted with irk and anger.

"To be honest, I hate guys like you." The priest looked down at him.

He deserved that. Hatake is an open jerk. I guess I'm not the only one irritated by him.
