She raised her eyebrows as she pressed on the earpiece to listen to his words more clearly. "What did you say?"

"Another person has joined the two people you asked me to monitor."

"Mm, okay." Ye Muqi a.n.a.lyzed the situation.

The two went on a date to a café, but they were joined by another person? Perhaps... it was one of Zhou Lei's friends. Or the more likely possibility, was that it was one of the girls she tried to plan with earlier.

'Lu Xi already said her plan out loud earlier, and that was to stalk them silently, so that leaves Fan Xinyue and Ma Xiaoli... But which one?'

Ye Muqi was left confused by this event. 'These two... I know that Fan Xinyue is calculative, but I have no idea about Ma Xiaoli. She always sleeps in cla.s.s, so I can't imagine what she's doing now that she's active.

I'm guessing that the one that approached those two is Ma Xiaoli, since Fan Xinyue wouldn't do that blatantly.'

After deducing this much, Ye Muqi turned the transmission on the earpiece on again and spoke, "Is the person that approached them a girl? Is she wearing a school uniform like theirs?"

"Yes to both, Young Madam... Eek!"

"Hmm?" The short shrieking sound the lackey made startled Ye Muqi. "What's the matter?"

"Young Madam, I just felt a chill run through my veins... It was nothing."

"I wonder about that."

As she said that, she opened the door to the café, StarLars. Multiple people in casual clothes followed after her discreetly.

After identifying where Zhou Lei and the rest were, Ye Muqi sat down somewhere near. She removed the earpiece and placed it in her pocket.

"Gao."

A single word came out of her mouth.

The people who followed her sat down at tables near their Young Madam's seat one by one.

The lackey named Gao heard the utter and approached Ye Muqi's table.

He removed his cap, revealing a face approximately the same age as hers. Although he wasn't handsome, he wasn't ugly either.

"Gao, what did you mention earlier about a chill?" Ye Muqi rested her chin on her palm, looking at Lackey Gao.

"Young Madam, the chill came from the gazes of the two girls of the group. They stared at each other..."

A smile crept up on Ye Muqi's face. 'Stare, eh? So one of them challenged the other... Interesting.'

"Do you remember who extended her hand first?"

"Ah, it was the newly arrived girl, Young Madam."

'Ma Xiaoli? I didn't expect her to be this proactive.'

Several thoughts ran through Ye Muqi's mind. While she was doing so, she caught a glimpse of a dark-skinned girl on the gla.s.s door.

As these thoughts ran through her mind, the gla.s.s doors were finally pushed open, Fan Xinyue entering the café. She turned her head both sides before proceeding to walk to Zhou Lei's current location.

'She doesn't seem to have seen me... but she's executing her plan.'

"Gao, observe them at a closer distance, report to me through the earpiece." As she spoke, Ye Muqi took out the small earpiece and put it on her ear again.

Lackey Gao nodded and stood up. After regaining his composure, he walked towards the group once again. His legs were visibly wobbly, not to mention the rest of his body...

He watched the scene unfold before him, reporting the events as clearly as he could to the Young Madam.

"The girl who arrived just now..."

"Her name is Fan Xinyue..."

Lu Xi finally arrived at StarLars. On the way, she had asked multiple people to point where it was. She was exhausted of talking to so much strangers in a day.

The sharp contrast between her appearance and her behavior made for a weird scene, making pa.s.sers-by turn their heads as they watched Lu Xi repeatedly hit the gla.s.s doors.

'Ahh! This is driving me crazy!'

Lu Xi bit her lip before deciding to build up force first. She walked to a considerable distance away from the gla.s.s door.

'Here's fine.'

She got ready to run, her two legs bent in a running position. Her hands were placed on the tiles as she tilted her neck, which made cracking sounds.

Then, she launched herself to the gla.s.s doors of StarLars! Her speed gradually built up, the people on her way avoiding her within a strand of hair.

Suddenly, some customer from the inside pushed the gla.s.s door open.

Needless to say, Lu Xi didn't expect this. No matter how much she wanted to, she couldn't stop her feet now; the force that she built up was too much!

"Ah!" The man, who was holding a steaming cup of coffee, got startled when he saw a beautiful girl with a rough expression lunge towards him!

Unfortunately, no matter how much the man swerved to the side, he couldn't avoid the contact.

Bam! The two people crashed into each other, the cup of coffee on his hands spilling all over the girl. Well, to be more exact, her parasol.

Lu Xi stood up with a disgruntled expression, the coffee on her parasol being soaked by the fabric and dripping through.

The man was annoyed at the girl for colliding into him at first, but seeing her disheveled appearance made him feel some sympathy.

The man laughed awkwardly as he watched the girl that crashed into him look like she's having a revelation.

Lu Xi stood up with newfound resolve. Ignoring the man, she walked to the now closed gla.s.s door.

"Hey miss..."

She exhaled some of her breath in preparation.

"Miss..."

Flexing and wiggling her fingers, her hand slowly crawled towards the metal handle. It didn't feel as intimidating as it did before.

"h.e.l.lo, miss?"

'Here I go.' Lu Xi bit her lip as her hand made contact with the handle, wrapping her fingers around it!

Her arm retracted, pulling the gla.s.s door open...
