Alden Sanches met Ashley when she was in her second year of college.  It was during her summer break.  A group of friends and cla.s.smates decided to take their summer break at Boracay.  She still remembers how she had met him ...

Flashback:

For the first time in her life, Ashley could have fun without her older brothers watching over her every move. So she was free to chat and flirt with the boys. On their first night in Boracay, she and her cla.s.smates decided to go out clubbing.  

At first, Ashley was wearing a long summer dress in which her typical day to day clothings. But when her cla.s.smates teased her that she looks like a monk ... Ashley decides to show off and flaunt all her a.s.sets that she's been hiding. 

She quickly unveiled the s.e.xy short jeans and a tank-top t-s.h.i.+rt that she especially bought for the trip. ' I look like a monk?  Let see, after I'm done...  Who would look like a monk? '  She thought while she was putting on the short and tank-top t-s.h.i.+rt.  

Then she put on some make-up that was simple but attractive.  Therefore, when her friends saw how s.e.xy and alluring Ashley dressed, they all teased her again... 

"Young hot male, here come the G.o.ddess, you all better watch out for the huntress is coming out!"  One of her cla.s.smates jokingly said with a big grin on her face.

The club was full of people and very crowded when they arrived.  A couple of times, Ashley felt someone's hands were touching her b.u.t.t as they came in, and she squirmed. But she did not complain because she was also guilty of wearing such clothes.

They had a hard time finding a seat so they could do nothing but stand in awe and dance from the sound of the song.  Since they had paid pretty hefty to get in, Ashley and her cla.s.smates could only order a c.o.ke.

Ashley slowly sips her drink because once it's gone, she no longer has any money to buy the next round. They were about half an hour inside the club already drinking the same beverage.  When suddenly, one or the server tap her shoulder.

"Miss! Miss, Here! Someone had bought you a drink."  The server handed her a drink that looks like a milkshake with an umbrella as a design.

Ashley was bewildered as to why the server was handing her a drink.  "I'm sorry!  But, I did not order these drinks? Miss, I think you have made a mistake.  As you can see I still full gla.s.s of drink, I barely touch it."  Ashley then pushed back the drink the waitress gave her.

"I know, miss! A customer had bought it for you." The waitress replied as Ashley tried to put the drink back in her hand.  

"Sorry, but I can't take this drink. I don't even know what it is." Ashley insisted and pushed the drink back to the waitress.

Ashley and the waitress jumped up when suddenly they heard a male voice spoke. "Miss, please don't decline the drink that I gave you, please!" Said the man who looks like one of the actors and could tell that he came from money.

All of Ashley's cla.s.smates with her were amazed to see how handsome the person in front of them. Ashley was not an exception; she was speechless and didn't know how to reply.

'Oh' my G.o.d!  Is this for real? If I'm dreaming, I don't want to wake up. ' Ashley said to herself as she stared at the man and gawked.

The man gave Ashley the sweetest smile he could conjure before asking, "So, can you?  Please, accept it. Don't worry, and the drink is a virgin!" Said the man to her.

"What?! What did you just sai? Are you kidding me? Are you crazy?" Ashley snarled as she pushed back the drink the waitress was offering her.  'Was it obvious that I'm still a virgin? Is that why this nasty guy is fooling me? It's too bad he was rude, I kind of think he's cute,' She thought to herself ...

"Excuse me! Thanks anyway, but I don't accept drinks from a stranger." Said Ashley a little arrogant and with a raised brows.

"I'm Alden nice to meet you!" He then extended his hands for a handshake. "And you are?" While he's waiting for Ashley to accept his hands.

Ashley was stunned for the way Alden had introduced himself. However, Ashley's cla.s.smate was pretty quick in reaching for Alden's hand.

"Hi! I'm Sylvia, this Veronica, that Susan, and this here is Ashley. Nice to meet you, handsome!" She said while grinning from ear to ear.

Ashley quickly pinched Sylvia. "Why did you give them our real names, didn't we said that we would give them fake names?" She whispered to Sylvia, so Alden could not hear what she just said.

"Oh', Mother Mary, I forgot! I got too excited seeing how handsome he is, and I even almost forgot my name." Sylvia whispered back at Ashley jokingly.

"Nice to meet all of you!" Interjected ni Adlen. " I have a couple of friends with me over there... Would you all care to join us? It's a private table, and it's upstairs." Alden invited them while he was only looking at Ashley for approval.

"Of course! Right, Ashley?" As Veronica pinched the side of Ashley's back.

"What?" Ashley asked as she looks around her cla.s.smate, asking a question with her eyes. When she saw how eager all her cla.s.smates were, she didn't have to heart to decline. They decided to join Alden and his friend.

That night was extraordinary, Alden was giving her full attention and giving her the best treatment of everyone around. Even though her cla.s.smates were trying to flirt with Alden, he didn't even glance at them.

In the long run, the other girls have no choice but to accept Alden's friend as a partner. Since Alden was with three other guys, each and everyone has their partner, even Sylvia, Veronica, and Susan.

By the end of the night, Ashley had enjoyed due to Alden being such a gentleman. She felt at ease being around him. She doesn't know who he is and where he's from. But, it doesn't matter for the only thing that matters for Ashley was... In her entire life, this is the first time that her heart beats for some guy. It's the very first time that she's felt something different. However, that doesn't mean she's ready to be in a relations.h.i.+p.

Therefore, on their last night before going back to Manila. Alden couldn't hold it any longer and proposed to Ashley.

Ashley was ready to accept Alden's proposal. However, since she had promised her parents that she would not have any relations.h.i.+p until she graduated... She was forced to turn him down without giving him a valid reason.

Alden accepted it without bias, he just said. "It's alright! I believe that if we are meant to be, we will meet again someday. You never know, one of this day, we would b.u.mp into one another without us knowing.

By the way, my full name is Alden Sanches." He told her as they were going inside the vehicle that would take them to the airport.

"Ashley Gusman! That's my full name, and I hope whatever you just said would come true. We are going then, nice to meet you, Alden Sanches." Ashley quickly went inside the car and went straight to the back so she could continue gazing at him as they leave.
