“I already said that it’s all because of your intelligence. I have no choice but to care for you,” he rubbed her head and spoke.

“Get lost!”

Lin Che glared hard at him, “But Jingyan really doesn’t seem like she wants to get married. Don’t tell me that she’s getting forced to marry her boyfriend, just like us?”

“Of course not,” Gu Jingze replied. “They knew each other since they were in high school. But I remember that they weren’t a couple back then.”

“Then what were they?”

“Jingyan was, of course, the school belle and she was the top student. He was the runner-up. They were rivals and friends. They were more like siblings I guess. The most important thing is that Lu Beichen was dating Jingyan’s good friend at that time.”
