49 Following The Bandit.

'Where is he going?' It was impossible to Filip spot him from such distance, his eagle eyes and tracking allowed him to be incredible at chasing people.

A two hour later, he found out the destination of this man. It was the huge extinct volcano.

'Extinct volcano! Great news!' There was a volcano nearby, so there should be some minerals or other precious things.

'I will search this area later. I need to find location of bandit's base!' Filip entered one of the caves with a bag.

'Profiting? Is he hiding part of deal from a village?' Aron was happy about this information. He could steal those goods later from this person.

A few minutes later, Filip got out of a cave and mounted his horse in haste. Aron decided to slowly follow him and explore this volcano later.

The bandit's camp was not far from a volcano, it was small settlement surrounded by small forest. It was invisible from outside, still Aron could see further and sneak closer to check situation.

This bandit group consisted of around 30 bandits, they had small stable for horses and few huts. Bigger house probably belonged to their boss.

'I know their location. I could kill them alone…however I want to nurture good subordinates…' He decided to take Rirak, Alex, Jack and Ian for this job.

'Let's check volcano first!' The opportunity to unlock new things inside of system was too important, and his speed allowed him to move fast like wind.

Cave wasn't wide or big, it was big enough to hide some riches inside. Boy started to scan around searching the bag that Filip hid.

One of bigger rocks was pretty odd, and there were scratch marks on ground around it.

'Hidden under rock? Isn't it too obvious?' It was little too easy to find, Aron used his hands to move rock away.

Psss! There was hole under rock and something started to pour out of it. It was acidic gas, boy immediately regretted his decision.

'There is sulfur lake under… Acid is pretty useful.' Acid could damage his lungs if he spent too much time inhaling it. He summoned small part of linen material and tied it into something similar to bandana. It was time to enter the hole.

Aron closed his eyes and used echolocation to see, and entire place was filled with dense mist and visibility was extremely limited.

'It's there!' Echolocation didn't show him color or exact image of a thing. It was like seeing vague shape of an item and distance from you. It was square shaped box, and it was probably a chest.

[New substance detected. High concentration of Sulfuric acid]

[Creating acid lake.]

'Great. It will be useful for many things.' Acid was useful in many fields of modern science. Primitive people didn't know much uses of it and thought about it as torturing tool.

Some alchemists tried to create gold with it as ingredient, however it was mostly used in dying and searching for forged gold.

'I have acid now. It's not the strongest, still it's enough for now!' Aron got out of a hole with a chest in his arms. It wouldn't be easy to carry it for a normal person, but strength of 10 men allowed him to lift it without effort.

The chest was closed with a simple mechanism; a boy didn't care much about it and broke the lid. The most important were contents inside.

After opening it he saw, copper ores, some coins, couple pieces of quartz and bizarre looking gem.

'I don't recognize this gem…' It wasn't like anything on Earth. Its texture was crystal, but it was metallic at the same time. Its color was something between green and blue, his appraisal didn't show name of it.

[Mana Stone]

[Desc: Stone filled with energy of the world.]

'Mana stone? Interesting?' Aron decided to put into his system, something weird happened.

[Spiritual resource detected. Host doesn't meet requirements to unlock it in mines.]

'…' System didn't give him all information about conditions of unlocking skills, s.p.a.ces and other functions.

[Quartz added to mines.]

[Copper added to mines.]

'It's area of the extinct volcano. I should be able to find some minerals around!' People didn't know about riches spewed by volcanos. Another thing was lack of use for those things, they couldn't even use iron effectively.

Aron took out shabby looking shovel, and it was made from bronze. Digging around and putting every rock into s.p.a.ce brought him some profits.

[Magnesium added to the mines.]

[Iron added to the mines.]

[Basalt added to the quarry.]

[Nickel added to the mines.]

[Limestone added to quarry.]

[Coal added to mines.]

'It's good! I spent an only hour and got so many new things!' Those metals will be slowly utilized in recreating modern technology. Limestone will allow him to create concrete, iron will be refined into steel.

'I need to learn proper blacksmithing. Ian was doing things blindly… He might know how to process copper…still…' Making simple tools from bronze didn't require real talent or skill in blacksmithing, it was simple process pa.s.sed down from generation to generation.

It was time to rush to gather his people, and he planned to ambush bandit's camp at night. It was afternoon already and he needed to explain things to his servants.

Rirak and Alex didn't argue much with him about this task. The problem was Ian, and he was coward and doing such dangerous thing was too much for him.

'Whatever…I will ask Roger and Casper.' Roger had the personal grudges against Blackwind bandits, however it was hard to force him to follow orders of Aron. In his eyes, the white-haired boy was the inexperienced brat with monstrous talent in archery.

"I found Blackwind bandits camp…" Aron explained the entire situations to Roger and old man became angry.

"KID! WHERE? I WILL SLAUGHTER THEM ALL!" They took away love of his live and his only son.

"I gather some skilled people…" Forcing Roger to calm down, while trying to explain the plan. It was possible for him to slaughter them all by himself. Simple methods weren't always working and learning leading people into battle was good skill to learn.

"I will go…and listen to your orders…if others didn't refuse…I want to personally take care about person that killed my wife!" Roger agreed, so Aron informed him about time of setting off and went to Casper.

Casper didn't want to be a part of suicidal mission like this, still Aron persuaded him with threat of their attacking Amber village.

"All ready? Let's go!" His original plan was to reach bandit's camp at night, yet speed of his subordinates was too slow. Their attack was postponed to next night.
