10 One More Moment To Forge

Amused by my own thoughts, inspiration sparked inside me, making me write continuously up until the 35th chapter.

The old good times. Sometimes, when I walk along our aisle, I miss the days when I was still alive, when I still can do everything I want. Even though my freedom was up to a certain degree, the point is, I can't even talk here even if I want to unless the light allows me too.

"Almost done!" I happily celebrated as I read the plot outline twice more.

By the way, did Luke and Wei already went on rounds? Why didn't they come by here, if that was the case?

Bothered by this disturbing questions, I decided that I wrote enough for now. I probably need to check how Wei was doing. I guess it's just my personality – I'm a very ill-tempered person but I hate it when my friends hold some kind of grudge against me.

After arranging my things, I went out of my cubicle, only to find out that the s.p.a.ce was still closed. Luckily, there was no on around or else I would've died out of embarra.s.sment.

[Yeah, I decided that I won't fuss over that 'dead' and 'alive' thing again. It's pure nonsense, anyway.]

I used my 'mind' and removed every single barrier I put up. When everything was gone, the dark faces of Luke and Wei welcomed me. I honestly don't know if I should apologize or just talk to them as if nothing happened but Luke was a step faster than my decision.

"I thought you wanted to stay locked there forever. I can grant that wish if you want me to!" he joyfully said. I can't help but get gooseb.u.mps over my bod- I mean, soul.

[I guess I'll still fuss over that sort of thing. Hehe~]

I immediately shook my head and smiled sweetly at him, "Luke, it was just a careless mistake! I promise I won't ever do it again!"

"A careless mistake? So kicking me out was a careless mistake as well, right?" Wei suddenly b.u.t.ted in. I glared at him, only to be met with his cold eyes and raised eyebrow.

Uh-oh. He must've been really p.i.s.sed off by me right now. Wei was usually very kind and patient but as the saying goes, even a diamond can be broken under fire.

Involuntarily, I gulped a mouthful of saliva. Noticing how his gaze was getting colder the longer I looked at him, I immediately forced out a smile and spat out a big fat obvious lie.

"Of course! You know me right from the moment I stepped inside here, Wei. I can be a bit dumb sometimes!" I justified persuasively. Somehow, the temperature continuously grew colder.

"Sometimes?" I unknowingly nodded and looked away from him. I accidentally b.u.mped my head into Luke's but instead of getting angry, he looked as if he wanted me to plead for his life. In addition to that, Luke held on to my arms a moment after our eyes met. I scoffed at him in disbelief of cowardliness.

Little did I know that I was even more of a coward than him.

"What the heck are you-"

"You're stupid." Luke suddenly cut in. His words automatically froze both Luke and I.

"The both of you." He then added before walking away. I don't know how long Luke and I stayed frozen like that but we only got back to our minds when we heard something fall.

Both of us jumped in fright like cats whose tails were stepped on only to find out that it was my ball pen which was already hanging onto its dear life even before I came out of my cubicle. Knowing that being embarra.s.sed right now won't bring us anything good, Luke decided to break the ice.

"Ah…. What just happened?" he asked.

I silently looked straight into his eyes for a while before we came to a mutual agreement.

Fine, let's act as if nothing happened.
