"My general, I still don't understand why are we heading towards this little glory town?" Carl asked obviously very confused by his general's actions.

Traveling from the capital city to a small town for no apparent reason was not something the general used to do. Even more so with his busy schedule.

His journey had to be for a reason. Reason that the general had refused to comment and he wanted to know madly.

The tompsom general looked deeply at Carl for a few seconds before sighing and saying in a very low voice.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but I had to take every possible precaution so that the news didn't spread among the other generals. But now that we've arrived in glory city, I consider it unnecessary to keep it a secret."

"The reason for our arrival in glory city

It's very simple actually: recruitment. "General Tompsom spoke clearly and emphatically.

Carl was very surprised by his response. Although the general hadn't said much, Carl was able to clearly sense everything that was going on.

A recruitment? It was something very commonly done by all the generals in the nation. They were looking for promising awakened ones with very interesting skills to work under their command.

But today it was different from a simple recruitment. Recruitment was commonly performed by the general's subordinates, since he could not be bothered to do all the work. Carl even had several recruits on behalf of the general as well.

But never in all this time had the general deigned to recruit himself in person.

That already showed how highly important the general considered this awakened. But not only that, the general went so far as to hide all the information he could even from him.

Knowing all this Carl could be calmer, but he did not know why ........ Every time they got closer and closer to the small city called glory city ........ Carl was beginning to feel very uneasy.

His power was intuition and he never let this kind of feeling go unnoticed. But he could not speak recklessly without knowing the true origin of his feeling.

Carl sat in his seat looking out the car window with a worried look.

.............

Tyler painfully opened his eyes and looked bewildered around him.

He couldn't pinpoint where he was.

All he could see was an old dirty ceiling, a narrow, dilapidated room plus a small mat where he was lying.

The last thing he remembered before falling unconscious was seeing that newspaper cover that shocked him greatly.

Logically it should only have been 5 days since his departure.

But from what he had witnessed, many things had changed since then.

On top of that .... There was something that puzzled him even more.

Tyler looked at his body.

Everything seemed completely normal and in order.

But he knew it very well, many changes had happened in his body.

First of all Tyler felt his stats had gone up. After so long, Tyler was already sensitive towards this point and was able to know if his statistics rose or fell, but if he wanted to be precise, he had to resort to his eyes.

Although it didn't seem like much that his stats had increased by a bit, for Tyler it was.

During the 5 years that Tyler was in the world of Naruto, he managed to carry out an uncountable number of missions and thus upload his statistics by a large number.

But no matter how hard he tries and no matter how much he eats, none of his statistics has been able to rise beyond 1000.

But today and completely out of the blue .... He was able to do it !!

But that could only be a good thing and it made Tyler very happy.

But

The second abnormality that Tyler had managed to feel in his body was by far the most troubling.

As much as he will try to move his limbs or any part of his body, his body simply did not respond. And not only that, a tremendous pain invaded him every time he tried to do it.

In a small panic attack Tyler desperately tried to move his body, but was halted by a sudden voice.

"You better not try. I have cared for several people in your state and if you keep doing that you could die."

The voice was easily identifiable as that of an elderly woman, it was calm and it sounded very deep. For some reason Tyler felt that the owner of that voice was a woman with many experiences and stories to tell.

But Tyler paid no attention to that, what caught his attention was what the voice said.

"In my state? What state are you talking about?"

Tyler averted his gaze to where the voice came from and was able to visualize an elderly woman snuggled comfortably in a waitress that moved slowly back and forth.

The old woman was not looking at Tyler, her sight was simply glued to the dilapidated old ceiling, as if there was something very interesting to observe there.

"Your state ?! Simple, you've reached your limits!" The old woman still spoke without looking away from the ceiling.

"What do you mean, I've reached my limits?" Tyler asked with a doubtful and suspicious look.

"What haven't you noticed yet? !! Boy. Do you think a person can awaken a power and evolve it indefinitely to become some kind of G.o.d ?! NO !!! All people who awaken a power, they have a limit of how many times they can evolve their power.

There are clear signs, it is divided into three phases. First, evolution will not go as smooth as before and there will even be pain. Second, evolution can be so tortuous and painful that you think you are going to die. Third, in this phase there will be no pain, but the best comes later: your skin will open while your body inflates and explodes like a wonderful firework of blood. You just explode like there is a bomb inside you and no matter how hard and strong your body is the result will be the same. From what I can see you are already in the second stage, if your skill has evolved once more, you will die! "

Tyler was very surprised by the old woman's words. If what she said was true, then when she pa.s.sed out she must have evolved again.

Since in the world of Naruto his b.l.o.o.d.y celestial demon had evolved and it was true that he felt pain at the time, but he played down this fact until now.

Knowing what this meant, Tyler ran through the notifications he had received while unconscious.

[Congratulations! you have evolved the heavenly b.l.o.o.d.y demon]

[Congratulations! you have evolved the quest system]

[Congratulations! you have evolved the eyes of fate]

Tyler was shocked to see that not only had he actually evolved, but his three powers had also evolved.

Tyler was eager to see what new skills and functions brought about his evolution. But right now it was more important to talk to the old woman and know what her condition was and how long her recovery will take.

But on reflection, Tyler freaked out. If what the old woman said was true, then he had reached his limits and could not evolve any further.

If Tyler wanted to make a comparison, with his current power and without using his demonic transformation he could be shot by the world's most powerful sniper rifle and not take a scratch.

But that didn't matter to him. At some point on his way here, he had begun to like the feeling of getting stronger and stronger.

That feeling and ecstatic feeling that he felt when breaking his previous limits, had no comparison with anything in this world.
