Chapter 230 Acknowledgement - Part 2

Nora won the battle with her inner girl. She put her fingers down hesitantly and started to check Alex's 'little lord' with the eyes of a person studying human anatomy.

But Nora felt her nipples hardened even more while she felt a little itch down between her legs. 'Nora, you silly girl, control your body. A private part of males is nothing special. Get over your fear, you can do it!' a small imaginary Nora suddenly started whispering in her ears.

Nora nodded unconsciously and looked at Alex's whole naked body with the intention to train her mind or so she used it as an excuse.

Alex was unaware that a pure girl was defiling the sanctity of his naked body, but even if he knew, Alex wouldn't mind showing this girl how attractive he looks in his birthday suit or so his narcissistic self had thought.

Anyway, Alex was dreaming about a small Demon Beast life from birth to it reaching the peak of its life and becoming the fabled Night Goddess of theDemon Beast world. The night goddess's ultimate form was heaven-defyingly gorgeous to the extreme and also powerful, not to forget. Her body gave off a vibe that everyone and everything was beneath her.

Her powers were related mostly to the darkness and shadow attribute. She also had powers related to controlling ghosts and darkness and shadow attributed Demon Beasts. The ability to teleport from shadow to shadow attracted Alex the most but awakening that ability is very hard.

The ability to turn invisible like a ghost was also good. The only drawback was time because it put the body under a great burden. That will also improve as Alex's cultivation progresses further.

The form of the Night goddess of the demon world smiled at Alex, she bent her waist a little and her head as if she was giving him a bow. Alex was surprised. He thought the image of the night goddess was just an illusion produced by the drop of her blood. She shouldn't be able to make such actions or could she, Alex wasn;t able to understand. But before he could do anything else, Alex felt his spirit getting pulled back by his body.

Slowly Alex opened his eyes that had turned grey. Even his hair had turned grey from black. There was no other transformation appearing on his body but Alex felt that his body has been strengthened once again. It felt a little stronger than before, Alex believed that he could attain a bronze body if he trained properly for a month or so.

It was still night, but Alex was not sure if it was the same night. Kerchak was dozing off while lying on the ground.

But Nora was awake. She was standing on her feet and a few of her hairs had also turned grey. the same happened with her eyes.

She looked at Alex in stupidity. Her facial expression was clearly showing how confused she was.

"Why are you able to affect my body so much? Why is your bloodline suppressing mine when we have the same bloodline of the Night goddess? Why were you able to awaken the bloodline of the Night goddess farther than me."

She didn't care if Alex was able to see her bare upper body or not nor did she mind Alex's 'little Lord' still standing up with full vitality. Her head was full of questions. Her bloodline was telling her not to attack Alex and submit to him as if it had a mind of its own. It couldn't talk but Nora could understand what it meant.

Alex could only smile, he also couldn't understand it. Maybe it was because of his main bloodline that had been awakened before or because his body could handle the awakened power of Night goddess bloodline better than Nora.

"I also don't understand. But why do you care so much? Let's start the contract between us... or do you want to go back on your words now." Alex said. He didn't want to explain what he couldn't explain to Nora therefore he shifted the talk to the contract.

Nora's face dimmed considerably. She looked a little upset and even stomped her foot on the ground causing her large globes to sway in the air.

"You... are a scoundrel, you know that. Why did you have to awaken more of the Night Goddess bloodline than me? Why did you have to get the recognition of the Night goddess and not me? Why?... Dammit, I hate you!" Nora sat down covering her eyes while holding back her tears. Sound of sobbing fell into Alex's ears. He didn't know what to do now. Nora may be have been acting but it didn't seem like that this time. It seemed she was upset for real this time.

Alex felt awkward. He walked to her and held her by her shoulders to make her stand up first.

"Nora, calm down. I won't hurt you if we complete the contract. Please don't make it difficult for me. Why are you been hesitating? We already have the same bloodline and like you said we part of the same bloodline clan now. I can forget our past enmity and start on new terms. How about that? Huh?"

It took a while for Alex to placate Nora. To stop her from crying Alex said "True Assassin's never shown their inner feelings to outsiders and never cry in front of anyone."

Well, the words did its magic. Nora stopped crying almost immediately.

"Sob...Its... not that. You don't understand. I have modified something in the Bloodline bound Technique that I had taught you. If... we did follow the technique to make a bloodline contract then it's not me but it would be you who will have to stay loyal to me. Now that you have the recognition of the Night Goddess than I cannot hurt you, neither can I become your Master with the help of that technique since you have awakened more of the bloodline power than me." Nora spoke but with each sentence, she felt guilty about what she was going to do to Alex who was recognized by the Night Goddess of her clan.

Alex was sweating bullets. he never the girl could do something with the technique itself. Fortunately, he was saved from the imminent servitude to this girl for all eternity.

"Hihihi..." the laughter of the Heavenly Spirit echoed in Alex's mind.

"Why are you laughing?" Alex felt annoyed.

"Why won't I laugh? Your face looked incredible when Nora revealed about the changes she made in the Bloodline bound Technique to you. Hehe, that was hilarious." The Heavenly spirit must be rolling in laughter while pointing at Alex's face.

"You... you knew about it. Why didn't you tell me? Don't care about my well being at all?" Alex was furious and hurt.

"Stop overreacting. Nothing would have happened to you. This girl was very lucky to be saved."

"What do you mean?"

"Your Bloodline given by the Heavenly book is special. It cannot be bound to a low-level bloodline like that of the Night Goddess of the Demon Beast World which Nora possesses and then you become her subordinate thorough such a contract is utter nonsense. The contract would have only caused a huge backlash to the girl which could have been life-threatening for her resulting in gruesome death. Lucky her, you obtained the recognition of that Night Goddess, causing her little trick to go poof in the air." The Heavenly Spirit ridiculed.
