KAREN MAITLAND has a doctorate in psycho-linguistics. Her British debut novel, The White Room The White Room, was shortlisted for the Authors' Club of Great Britain Best First Novel Award. Her U.S. debut, Company of Liars Company of Liars, came out to widespread critical acclaim. She lives in the beautiful medieval city of Lincoln, England.
