Chapter 95 - Fu Hua Agrees To Marry Jia Li, But With Some Conditions

"Was that Fu Hua? Is he angry?." Feng Alix's manager inquired.

Keeping her phone on the table, Feng Alix replied, "I think he is angry, but he will be fine when he calms down for a while, and after I coax him."

"Why don't you explain things to him and even go to visit and come back before your next ad shoots?." Her manager suggested.

"No, I can't. I'm not ready to face whatever plans he has for us back in the country." Feng Alix rejected the idea immediately.

"What kind of plans is that?."

"He wants us to get married before the end of this year. I don't want to get married yet, so I will try to drag this for as long as I can." Feng Alix replied as she crossed her legs.

"What?! Mr. Fu already has such big plans of settling down with you, so why are you not grabbing the opportunity and dreams of every woman?!" The manager asked in surprise.

"I just found such a huge opportunity with Hollywood, and you want me to throw everything away for marriage? No, I can't do that! And besides, I am 28 years old, and this is already a rare opportunity for me to get this kind of exposure. I'm sure Fu Hua will understand." Feng Alix said without a care.

"But you just told Mr. Fu you would be back in 3 months, does it mean you were lying to him?." Her manager asked with creased brows.

"I did not lie. I will eventually have to go back to talk things out with him." Feng Alix said.

"Alix, you know you don't have to trick him. He must have felt so disappointed since you already made a change of plans without telling him."

"Enough of making me feel guilty! What I did was the right thing. If I don't do things this way, he will give up on me and find another woman, so I have to drag things out. I will call him a few days later to explain things to him." Feng Alix said in an annoyed tone.

Her manager really wanted to tell her she could not eat her cake and have it. She wanted to let her know she could not have everything, but she didn't dare to say another word in fear of infuriating her.

After terminating the call, Fu Hua kept his phone on the table. Deep down in his heart, he was so angry and disappointed with Feng Alix.

He had plans with this woman, but a little fame made her forget she wasn't working alone. She went ahead to abandon the plans they heard as fame was more important to her, and she didn't care to say anything to him if he hadn't called.

Fu Hua's face was cold as he was emitting cold air from his body.

He has just discovered that his girlfriend took Hollywood fame more important than taking a step forward in their relationship.

It was not like he planned to cage her once he married her. He was never one to tie a woman down, so why would she plan things out for herself without letting him know since they have come this far?

Did she or did she not love him?

This was the question Fu Hua thought about a few seconds ago, but surprisingly, he was no longer interested in finding out the answer.

He balled his palms into fists as he deeply thought about his life and did a self-reflection.

After thinking for almost an hour and coming to w conclusion about his life, he decided to give up on Feng Alix.

Although her physical appearance might still be what he might want in a woman, it was no longer enough for him.

Fu Hua decided to marry someone that wouldn't stress his life, someone that wasn't after fame like Feng Alix, but there was no time to start searching for that person because of the deadline his Grandfather gave to him.

And he wouldn't want to marry someone he doesn't know for at least, six months, and there was no time for that, so he dropped that idea.

Thinking of the woman his old man had arranged for him, Fu Hua shut his eyes and fell asleep.

The next morning, before breakfast, Fu Hua went for a morning jog before making his way towards Jia Li's bedroom. When he got in front of her door, he knocked gently and waited for a response.

Jia Li who was still sleeping was woken up by the sound of someone incoming on her door. He quietly got out of bed and went to open the door.

She was surprised to see the person standing right outside her door. She thought she wasn't seeing clearly, so she rubbed her eyes and look properly, only to see that Indifferent look on the tall handsome man.

Glancing at her face to see how red it still was, Fu Hua frowned before looking straight into her eyes.

"Miss Qin, I have something to say to you. Please get dressed, I will be waiting for you." Fu Hua said. before disappearing.

If Jia Li still wasn't in her nightdress, he wouldn't mind waking into her room to talk. But it was inappropriate, so to avoid rumors, he had to wait till she was properly dressed.

When he mentioned her getting dressed, Jia Li glanced at herself, and almost screamed in shock.

She wasn't wearing any bra, so her nipples were sticking out, but she was still kind of lucky that her nightdress was so thin, otherwise, she would have been embarrassed.

"Jia Li, you're such an idiot!." Jia Li scolded herself as she closed the door and walked back into her room with a frown.

She has already had an ample chest, and no matter how you looked at it, there was nothing that couldn't depict the fact that she was trying to seduce Fu Hua.

Jia Li quickly brushed her teeth and washed her face. She proceeded to take a quick shower before changing into a casual dress.

She applied the medication on her face while thinking of the reason Fu Hua wanted to see her.

'Did he come to threaten me about the marriage? What do I do?.' Jia Li thought?

Jia Li glanced at herself in the standing mirror and saw her pitiful she looked. She sighed to herself before moving her eyes to her water-fall black-ink hair.

Her hair was very long, shiny, and full, then coupled with the fact that it was well taken care of, this could be another thing that can be used to seduce a man.

Jia Li looked so beautiful with her hair falling behind her, but sadly, she never lets people see her that way.

Well, apart from the time she goes to the hair salon with Fu Meixu, nobody in the Fu Family has seen Jia Li's hair like that. And then, the servant that usually attends to her, has seen her hair fall a couple of times.

While sleeping, she covers hair with a hair bonnet, to avoid it from breaking.

Jia Li finished quickly and walked towards her room door to open it, only to see her servant standing there.

"Miss, the first young master asked me to bring you to him." The servant reported.

"Oh... okay!." Jia Li responded before following after her.

The servant took Jia Li to a place she rarely goes to in the house. It was the library.

Standing in front of the door, her servant said to her, "Miss, you can go in."

Jia Li opened the door and walked in. She walked straight before taking a left turn, and she saw Fu Hua sitting there with his gaze on her.

Jia Li became suddenly nervous as she approached him.

"Miss Qin, please take a sit. And please be at ease, I'm not going to bite you. I didn't want us to talk in any of our rooms, because it will be inappropriate. And any other place in this house, may not be comfortable for you because of the attention of there, so I chose this place." Fu Hua explained.

Jia Li sat down as she thought, 'Is he explaining things to me?!'

Fu Hua noticed that Jia Li was still uneasy, so he went straight to the point.

"I wanted to see to talk about the marriage."

Jia Li's heart skipped a beat, but she was too nervous to raise her head.

"I hate being controlled or forced to do things, especially the ones out of my will. For this marriage, I was strongly against it, but my grandfather continued pushing me to it. I have decided to get married to you." Fu Hua said.

Jia Li thought she didn't hear well and wanted him to repeat what he just said, but he didn't. She was still in shock as Fu Hua continued to speak.

"We don't love each other, so things will be easier to handle as long as we don't interfere in each other's business. I can't promise you love, but I will take care of you. We are also not going to have a wedding, only the signing of our marriage certificate will do. When I have spoken to my grandfather, I will speak to you again." Fu Hua said to her.
