Chapter 483: Marié's ugly side

The netizens and the Internet has been on fire since the public revelation of The Hidden Wife of the Cold CEO. When the Fu family was about to leave, the reporters tried to chase after them but their security blocked them off.

Jasmine looked a little scared with so many people following them and screaming at them. She pouted her lips and was about to cry when her grandfather, Fu Lei, blocked her from seeing the reporters who were screaming so many questions at them.

Jasmine seemed to be more relaxed after she got away from the crazy reporters and the noise they brought along. Finally safe in the car, she looked a bit better.

"This commotion is going to take a few days to clear." Fu ChunHua said after she got inside the car with Fu Geming.

As FJ's employee, Jia Li still had a few things to take care of, so she didn't go home yet, including Fu Hua who still had to address his staff, concerning his relationship with Jia Li.

Despite the fact that his staff has already heard him declaring while on stage that Jia Li was his wife, it still felt strange to them hearing it from his mouth again.

Jia Li could not make eye contact with anybody because of the gazes on her. She didn't know how to face her colleagues because she could guess the thoughts going on in their minds.

After officially introducing Jia Li as his wife to his staff, Fu Hua added, "I know my wife will still love to be treated just like before but you still have to bear in mind that she is my wife before you think of doing anything wrong to her."

After saying that, Fu Hua turned to Jia Li to say, before walking away after squeezing her hand gently, "Sweetheart, see you in the next couple of minutes."

Linda and the rest still looked shocked after the revelation. Now, they were thinking twice about approaching her. She was their Boss's wife and also their colleague but they were still confused as to what light to see her in and also on how they should address her.

After Fu Hua walked away with Zimo, some other staff like the HR and Tech department, started to leave. Jia Li still had her gaze downwards not daring to meet anyone's gaze until Sunny approached her.

"JL, your models are still waiting, you should address them first before coming for the short meeting we have." Sunny said after patting Jia Li's shoulder.

Jia Li nodded in understanding before walking away. And just when she thought her colleagues would snub her, they immediately surrounded her after Sunny and the other directors left.

"Jia Li, are you really Mr. Fu's wife?" One of the newbies asked with an excited gaze.

Jia Li glanced at her colleagues one after the other before nodding in response to the question that was asked.

"Wow! This is so shocking!" The initial person said with her hands over her mouth.

"But JL, this feels so surreal. How were you able to hide this fact for this long?" One of them asked because if she were to be in Jia Li's shoes, she would surely not be able to keep such big news to herself.

"I told you she is humble and also likes to keep to herself." Another person replied.

Jia Li felt guilty for hiding such an important fact from her colleagues, so she bowed slightly and said to them in an apologetic tone, "I'm really sorry for hiding my relationship from you but I wanted it that way to avoid preferential treatment."

Linda finally said something to her, "There is nothing to be apologetic about, this is what you wanted, so no one will be against you, after all, we all have secrets."

"Yes, Jia Li, there is no need to feel guilty. I'm happy to be friends with someone with connections at the Top." One of them said cheerfully.

"That's right, JL, you have to take care of us now." Another person said with a smile.

Jia Li felt better about seeing her colleagues' reactions to her. She was happy that they accepted her just like their normal colleague.

"I'm glad that you all still treat me well but I will have to plead with you not to see me as Mr. Fu's wife, I'm still your normal colleague, so please treat me like that or I will be uncomfortable." Jia Li said with a meek look.

"There is no need to plead with us, we will still try to treat you like our normal colleague." Linda said with a smile.

"It's not going to be easy for us while knowing that you a big shot is in our midst but we are going to try our best." Another person said with a smile.

"That's right, Jia Li, congratulations on the awards and the International recognition, you did well." A male colleague said.

"Congratulations Linda, on the International recognition." Jia Li said to Linda after the other finished congratulating her.

"Thank you." Linda replied with a smile.

While the others surrounded Jia Li and were speaking amicably with her, Marié strutted over in her heels.

"All of you are so pretentious! I can't believe you easily forgave her after she hid her identity from us, I still think that she saw us as fools." Marié said with an unfriendly gaze at Jia Li.

Immediately, all attention was now on Marié. One of the newbies looked so pissed off at being called pretentious that she fired back at her.

"You stand there to call us pretentious but what about you? You are more pretentious than us. You feel that you are the best and that no one should be better than you, hence you delayed to go and receive your award."

"Marié you are very rude. You have been sitting all by yourself and ignored us for a long time as if we did something wrong to you and now you are insulting us?" Another person asked.

"At least I'm better than most of you. You can't wait to hug a thick thigh but I refused to surrender to that." Marié said with a smile that was not a smile.

"We are 100 times better than you! Sometimes, it's actually good to hide your evil intentions out of respect for others." Another person said before a male colleague added...

"You were unhappy that you didn't get the first position and because of that, you ignored us all and went to sit by yourself. Do you think you are the only one that feels bad when they do not win anything? We also feel bad when our works are not acknowledged but that is enough to know that we need to do better. It doesn't stop us from congratulating the winners but you, you are so selfish!"
