Chapter 305 - Easily Forgiven

"Are you through with your work?" Jia Li asked immediately with a nervous smile.

"Not yet, I'm taking a break." Fu Hua said as he came to stand beside her. He leaned over and gazed at Jasmine with a smile.

Jasmine quickly fixed her gaze on him and moved her fingers to her lips and next, she let out a yawn.

Fu Hua smiled at her gestures and quickly carried her in his arms and walked away while saying to Jia Li, "I will put her to sleep."

"Wait, I thought you said you wanted to take a break?" Jia Li asked quickly.

"My daughter is more important than rest." Fu Hua replied and continued walking away till he disappeared from their view.

"Do you think he did that on purpose?" Fu Hee asked in a hushed tone. Her voice was very small and Jia Li could barely hear her. She was afraid Fu Hua might hear her if he hasn't left yet.

"It looks like." Jia Li replied. She guessed Fu Hua did that on purpose. He might have not wanted his mother to hold his child and knowing how soft-hearted Jia Li was, he didn't think she would be able to hold back.

Fu Hee sighed and didn't say anything again. Jia Li thought she was feeling bad and said to her in a soft tone, "Aunty, don't be too worried. There are many opportunities for you to hold Jasmine."

"I'm not sad at all. It's all my fault. It's getting late, I have to leave now." Fu Hee said as she picked up her handbag and got to her feet.

"I will walk you out." Jia Li said with a smile but Fu Hee stopped her.

"Don't worry, I will leave on my own. You should get some rest now that Fu Hua is with the child." Fu Hee said to her with a smile.

Jia Li nodded and called a servant to walk her out.

After Fu Hee left, Jia Li went upstairs to see find Fu Hua. She saw him in her bedroom rocking Jasmine to sleep.

"Is she sleeping yet?" Jia Li asked in a soft tone.

"Yes." Fu Hua replied in a gentle tone as he put Jasmine in her cot.

"Has your visitor left?" He asked as he stood straight with his hands in his pocket.

"You mean your mother? She has left. Why are you so cold towards her? You didn't even say a word of greeting. You ignored her like she wasn't there." Jia Li said with a frown.

"Does she have the right to complain? She came to see our daughter, what right does she have to see the child she almost killed when she was still in the womb?!" Fu Hua said angrily.

Jia Li was tongue-tied. She had forgotten about that part and that's because it was easy for her to forgive people if they were repentant but Fu Hua was different, he was good at holding grudges.

"But that happened in the past." Jia Li said softly.

"I don't care! No one who tried to harm my family will be easily forgiven!" Fu Hua said and walked out angrily.

Jia Li was surprised at his reaction. She had no idea he would react this strongly. She thought he was starting to forgive his mother since he allowed her to visit but who knew it wasn't from his heart.

Jia Li couldn't remember the last time Fu Hua reacted that way towards her and it looked like he was very angry.

Jia Li sighed and glanced at her sleeping baby before glancing at the door. She didn't know what to do. Leave the baby and go and see Fu Hua or stay in the room with the baby and get some rest.

It was useless for Jia Li to think too much because she went with the first option, as there was no way she would be able to rest since Fu Hua was still angry, hence she checked on Jasmine before leaving the room.

Fu Hua went back to the workshop to continue working. He looked a bit surprised to see Jia Li.

"Did you leave the child alone?" He asked with a frown.

"Yes, I had no choice. You walked out on me angrily, so I had to come and meet you since I can't rest peacefully anyway." Jia Li replied as she came to stand in front of his desk.

"I didn't walk out on you, I left because I was angry with my mother." Fu Hua explained after he sighed tiredly.

"What's the difference?" Jia Li asked.

Fu Hua was left speechless by her statement. He couldn't believe his explanation was useless to her.

"I'm sorry if you felt that way. Go back and rest, I will join you later." Fu Hua said to her. Since explaining didn't work, there was no need to waste time as he had to apologize.

"Don't make me wait for too long." Jia Li said and walked away. His apology meant a lot to her.

Fu Hua sighed again and went back to work. He worked for 20 more minutes before going to find Jia Li.

When he got to her bedroom, she was already sleeping. He smiled as he checked on Jasmine. The little one moved her hands to her face and wrinkled her brows before her hands slowly fell back to her sides again.

Fu Hua made sure she was comfortable before going to join Jia Li in bed. He kissed her cheek before laying next to her and then he hugged her waist from behind and closed his eyes.

When Fu Hee got home, she saw FangSu surrounded with different kinds of snacks and fruits while she was basking in the evening breeze as she seemed to be in a good mood as she ate away.

"As a model, are you not supposed to be on diet for your weight?" Fu Hee asked with a frown.

"I am not bothered about it. I am about to get into FJ, so I have to eat all the good food now, while I can. FJ is hard work.." FangSu said as she continued eating.
