Chapter 300 - Way To Stardom

Jia Li placed Jasmine in her cot and chatted with the friends over some snacks to keep themselves company.

When Jasmine woke up from her nap, the three ladies struggled for who would carry her first.

"Don't frighten my child!" Jia Li scolded them.

"Why do I feel that I don't know you anymore?" DanDan asked with a frown.

"Jia Li is so fierce." Chang-Chang said with a pout.

"I haven't seen her react this way in a long time," DanDan said in agreement.

"That's because she is now a mother." Daiyu replied with a smile.

"How can I not be fierce when you are fighting for who would carry my daughter?" Jia Li queried.

"It's alright, we are sorry for scaring our little girl. I will go first then." DanDan said with a smile and quickly moved to carry Jasmine from her cot. Her moves were so quick that there wasn't time to stop her.

"I will go next." Chang-Chang said immediately.

"We will give her to the next person every 20 minutes," Daiyu suggested.

"Should I be your timekeeper as well?" Jia Li asked from the side. She couldn't believe how ridiculous her friends were. Her child was now an item that was being rotated to avoid them struggling and fighting over her.

"No need to trouble you, you can rest while we take care of the baby on your behalf." Daiyu said with a smile.

DanDan and Chang-Chang's focus was on Jasmine who was staring at them with curiosity. They were no longer paying attention to Jia Li.

Chang-Chang reached out her finger to touch Jasmine's nose but Daiyu hit it away in time.

"Your hand is filthy!" Daiyu teased.

"You're just jealous. I already cleaned my hands with the baby wipes." Chang-Chang said and brought out her tongue and right at that moment, Jasmine moved her gave to her.

"What are you teaching Da-Xia?" Daiyu asked as she immediately pulled her away from Jasmine's presence.

"I didn't mean to do that." Chang-Chang said as she sat on another couch like an obedient little bunny when she met Jia Li's gaze.

None of them wanted to teach Jasmine the wrong thing.

Jia Li sighed and massaged her temples. It was a hassle to have three amateur ladies as friends.

"Jia Li, I have an announcement to make," Chang-Chang said as she remembered something.

"What good news could you have?" Jia Li asked with a smile as her curiosity was at its peak.

"I passed my audition and I am proud to announce that I am the newest member of Miss A girl group!" Chang-Chang announced excitedly.

"OMG! Congratulations!" Jia Li said happily.

"Thank you!" Chang-Chang replied happily.

DanDan and Daiyu didn't seem surprised because they already know about it. They only smiled when Chang-Chang announced it to Jia Li.

"Your hard work finally paid off, I'm happy for you!" Jia Li said excitedly.

Jia Li was happy for her friend that her dreams finally came to reality. Joining a girl group had always been Chang-Chang's dream and she trained so hard for it. Today, she was signed to one of the popular girl groups in the country. Although the group was still new, it was already popular because of the publicity given to them.

Jia Li spent time with her friends and they chatted about a lot of things, while they exchanged Jasmine every 20 minutes. The only time Jia Li got to hold her daughter was when the little girl was very hungry.

After eating, Jasmine was sleeping in her carrier that Jia Li put beside her.

When Jia Li's friends left, it was already evening and Fu Hua who has been busy in his study came out to spend time with his wife and daughter.

Jia Li personally served him a cold drink because of the hot weather. Although the AC was turned on and Fu Hua could not feel the heat still, that slightly chilled drink and some snacks was a good treat.

Jasmine spent most of her time gazing at her father's face. The way she stared at people was so cute.

Over the next few days, Fu Hua worked on his studies in the afternoons while Jia Li would bring in her pets to the sitting room and spend time with them.

Jia Li was happy the first time she introduced Jasmine to her pets. Ocean and her puppies surrounded Jasmine who was in her carrier. Ocean barked excitedly and kept wagging her tail.

As for the little puppies, they were equally excited about meeting the newborn and tried to climb inside Jasmine's carrier several times but Jia Li stopped them in time. And at last, she had to carry Jasmine out of the carrier and hold her in her arms still, the puppies didn't let her rest. They surrounded her and made sounds of protest.

Jia Li had to sit on the rug with Jasmine in her arms while her back rested on the couch. She let the puppies get close to Jasmine and greet her but she didn't let them touch her.

Jasmine had her gaze on the two little things that surrounded her. And it was possible that she would have grabbed them if she was able to.

Jia always had a nice afternoon with Jasmine and her pets.

Sometimes, when Jasmine and was taking a nap and Jia Li got bored and wanted to take some walks, she would put her in her stroller and take walks outside the house in the evenings and at times, Fu Hua would join her if he was less busy.

Slowly, Jia Li was thinking about entering FJ soon. She was thinking of doing that when Jasmine would be 5-6 months old. She couldn't afford to waste time because she was not the only talented or gifted person in the world.

She wanted to walk her way to stardom through hard work but she had to be smart. Jia Li was still considering a lot of things and hadn't yet come to a conclusion, so she couldn't talk about it.

As Fu Hua was working on the upcoming fashion show, he was also busy making the dress Jia Li designed last time. He got an idea for it. He was not going to release it and use it for the Autumn show, as he had another plan for it.

FJ planned to release new designs a month after the fashion show and he planned to include her design as well.
