Chapter 297 - Did I Starve You?

When Jia Li came back with his phone, he was already at the entrance and she had no time to ask questions because the door was opened for them from inside.

As Jia Li and Fu Hua made their way in, they could hear the chatters coming from the excited visitors.

"Do we have visitors?" Jia Li asked with widened eyes.

"Yes, we do." Fu Hua replied as he continued walking forward with the child in his arms. Jia Li had to catch up with him.

When they both stepped inside the living room, they saw the visitors waiting for them.

"Jia Li, welcome back!"

"Congratulations, Jia Li!"

"Son, congratulations!"

There were members of the Fu family standing with smiles on their faces to welcome Jia Li, Fu Hua and the newborn.

The primary members of the Fu family were present except for FangSu who was locked up at home. Fu Hee was privileged to be present.

Jia Li was happy to see everyone there to celebrate her return. She greeted all of them with a smile on her face.

Jasmine who was asleep moved her small hands before opening her eyes to look at her surroundings. Now that she was awake, everyone could hold her.

Fu Hee did not dare to overstep her boundaries. She didn't try to hold the child in her arms and could only watch as others carried her grandchildren about.

Fu Ling and Fu YingPei were the first to present Jia Li and the baby with gifts. Jia Li thanked them wholeheartedly as the servants helped her to accept the gifts.

Next were her father-in-law and Uncle, Fu Lei and Fu Geming who presented her with big gifts.

Fu Meixu hugged Jia Li tightly and congratulated her again before presenting her with the gift she got for her.

"Thank you, Sister Meixu." Jia Li said to her with a grateful smile.

"No need to thank me!" Fu Meixu said with a smile.

Fu Hua's Aunty, Fu Juan, presented her gift next and after that came Fu Hee and Fu ChunHua. Grandfather Fu was the last.

There was a celebratory wine and food to wrapping up everything.

While everyone was over here eating, laughing and chatting, FangSu was seething in rage. She was so angry that everyone left her behind to go out to welcome the new child.

When they were about to leave, she begged her mother to take her along but she abandoned her saying, 'You have not been forgiven yet. And it's a good thing you're not going, who knows what trouble you will cause that will anger everyone."

FangSu felt betrayed by her mother but she couldn't do anything. Now thinking that she had the opportunity to go out since there was no one to stop her, she was shocked when the soldiers outside, stopped her at the entrance and asked her to go back inside the house.

FangSu felt insulted as the soldiers were very strict with her. They didn't give her any face and didn't consider her identity.

As she went back inside the house angrily, she remembered what her mother said and thought that she has really lost favor.

"It's all because of you, bitch!" FangSu cursed.

The rest of the Fu family left Jia Li and Fu Hua's home around 8 pm for the Fu residence.

As they had eaten already, everyone went to bed when they got back to the Fu residence.

FangSu was the only one who didn't have dinner that night. Before the rest of the family came back, a servant called her for dinner but when she went to the huge dining area and saw that she was all alone, she abandoned the food and ran back to her bedroom in tears.

After the Fu family left, Jia Li had to quickly change out of her clothes, while Fu Hua held their crying daughter in his arms. The little girl was already very hungry.

"Princess, wait for a second, your mother is coming." Fu Hua said as he rocked his little princess in his arms. His gaze was filled with worry.

Jasmine cried and kicked her hands about. Her face was already red by the time Jia Li rushed out.

Jia Li had a frown on her face when she sat on the bed and Fu Hua placed the child in her arms. Her baby's face was red and that made her concerned.

At last, when she sent her right nipple inside Jasmine's mouth, the little girl began to suck speedily.

"Did I starve you?" Jia Li asked in a soft tone.

"She must have been very hungry." Fu Hua said as he came to her side and gazed at his little girl with worry.

"Jasmine, mum is sorry okay?" Jia Li said to the little girl but the only response they heard was the sound of her sucking her breast.

Jasmine had her eyes closed and her small palm was placed on her mother's boob, while she sucked her milk quickly.

Fu Hua sat on the bed and watched his daughter eat hungrily. He forgot he had to change his clothes. He couldn't bear to leave the sight of the mother and daughter pair.

After feeding her from her right breast, Jia Li transferred her to her left breast to continue, as it was very full of milk.

After eating, Jasmine became calm and peaceful just like any other obedient child.

Jia Li wanted to change her diaper, so Fu Hua brought a new one and a change of clothes.

"Please ask Mrs. Zu to come and bath her directly, there is no need to change her diapers now." Jia Li said to her.

This would be their baby's second time having a bath since she was delivered. In the morning of today, the doctor approved for Jasmine to have her first bath and Housekeeper Zu was the one that took care of it since she had a talent for taking care of babies.

Fu Hua left to call the housekeeper to bath the little girl whose eyes were shining like a torch.. She has finished eating but there were no signs of sleep in her eyes.
