Chapter 18 - What Do You Think?

The next morning when Fu Hua and YingPei came to pick their grandfather up, Fu Hau overpaid Mrs. Qin for the expenses she made on the hospital bills and feeding throughout their stay, but Mrs. Qin rejected the extra money he gave to her. She only took what was due.

Before grandfather left the Qin's mansion, he exchanged phone numbers with Jia Li.

Jia Li and her parents escorted Grandfather Fu to the place their cars were parked.

"Grandfather, don't forget to give me a call when you get home." Jia Li reminded the Old man.

"I will... I will. You have reminded me about it some many times, how can I forget?." Grandfather Fu said to her with a smile on his aged face.

"Oh!." Jia Li said as she scratched her hair. She can't remember how many times she reminded the old man about calling her when he gets home.

"Have a safe trip, Mr. Fu." Jia Li's parents said to the old man with amicable smiles on their faces.

"Thank you!." Old Mr. Fu replied as he got into the back seat of the car.

"Goodbye, grandfather." Jia Li said to the old man as she waved to him.

Grandfather Fu waved back to Jia Li before the bodyguard closed the car door.

Fu Hua and YingPei who have been standing at the side said their goodbyes to the Qin family before getting into the second car.

Then Qin family stood and waved as the cars drove off from their sight.

Jia Li stared into space as she was a little bit sad.

"Do you miss the Old man already?." Mrs. Qin asked with a kind smile.

"Yes. And he was kind to me just like a grandfather." Jia Li replied with her gaze on her mother.

"Since you miss him, you don't have to worry too much because one day fate will bring you two together." Mrs. Qin said to her as she took her hand and led the way back to their house.

"Is my princess sad because she misses Old Mr. Fu? Don't be sad, because you will meet him again, soon." Mr. Qin said as he held Jia Li's other hand.

Jia Li sulked till they got inside their house.

When Grandfather Fu finally stepped into the huge aristocrat mansion of his, he sighed in relief.

Before he could take a step inside, Fu Hee rushed out of the house to welcome him with a brilliant smile.

"Father, you are back? Welcome home! You look good as always." Fu Hee said as she walked beside the old man.

"Mmmm." Grandfather Fu hummed in reply as he walked into the huge mansion.

After Grandfather Fu walked into the house, Fu Hee turned to her sons to hug them.

"Oh! Look at my boys. You must have suffered the unimaginable in that terrible place. Come in and freshen up and eat something good. Your favorites were cooked and served, come in."

Fu Hua and YingPei exchanged glances.

"Mum, how come I don't see dad, where is he?." YingPei asked his mother as they walked into the house together.

"Don't you know how busy your father is? But he will be back soon since your grandfather is around." Fu Hee said.

Shortly after Fu Hua and YingPei washed up, they came downstairs and met their grandfather on a call.

And from the way he was smiling, they knew who he was speaking with. Their guesses were confirmed when he said 'goodbye Jia Li'.

The dining area of the great Fu mansion was big to occupy all the members of the family.

But during this brunch, the available people sat closer to each other.

With grandfather Fu sitting at the head table, Fu Lei sat at his right side with Fu Hee sitting beside him. Then on his left side, Fu Hua was sitting there with Fu YingPei beside him.

The only sounds that were heard came from the plates and cutlery.

Fu Hua didn't eat much before standing up to leave.

"Excuse me, but I have an important meeting today concerning the next fashion show next month." Fu Hua announced.

"You just came back and haven't eaten much. Can't the meeting come later?." Mrs. Fu Hee asked in a worried tone as the other watched on.

"It's important that I leave now. See you later..." Fu Hua said before walking away with turning back.

"Which meeting is so important that he had to abandon his food?." Grandfather Fu asked, no one in particular.

"I will check it out." Fu Lei said to him.

"There is no need. Fu Hua is grown up now, he doesn't need to be monitored. As a young man, he needs his privacy, don't ever mention this." Grandfather Fu corrected his son.

"Yes, Father." Fu Lei replied as he continued with his food.

Fu Hua left the house to a familiar apartment. He keyed in the passcode before the door opened to him.

The house was neatly arranged but reeked of a woman's scent.

He sat on the couch with his legs crossed before picking up his phone and sending a text.

"Where are you?." He asked.

Feng Alix smiled when she got the text. She was sitting in an office with a middle-aged woman staring at her.

But when she remembered that her message was ignored by the sender a day ago, she lost interest but still replied casually.

"Outdoor for a photoshoot."

"Okay, I will wait!." Fu Hua replied.

"I will wait?." Feng Alix asked herself as she was thrown into confusion by his reply.

As if something dawned on her, she texted him back.

"Are you back?."

"What do you think?." Fu Hua replied immediately.

Feng Alix screamed in excitement as she got up from her seat.

"What is going on with you?." The woman sitting opposite from her asked with creased brows.

"Well, my boyfriend is back now, so I have to go meet him." Feng Alix replied as she grabbed her purse from the table before walking away.

"Alix?!." The woman called out to her, but Feng Alix did not respond.

Three seconds later, Fu Hua sent his location to Feng Alix, and she ended up screaming again before rushing out of the building.

In a taxi, she texted him. "I'll be right there."
