Chapter 169 - Brotherinlaw Sets Her Heart At Ease

"What are you looking at? Is there something on my face?" Fu Hua asked when he caught Jia Li's gaze on him.

Jia Li shook her head in a negative affirmation and looked away from him.

Zimo who was standing behind them saw their interaction.

'Why do I feel like she is Boss's little kitten and not his wife? Am I thinking too much?' Zimo thought.

When the elevator got to the 5th floor, Fu Hua took Jia Li's hand and got out of it. He looked at his surroundings with a little confusion before turning back to ask his assistant, "Where are we?"

Zimo cleared his throat and replied while pointing with his fingers. "Boss we took the wrong elevator, this way leads to the meeting room, this way leads to your office."

Fu Hua glared at him and Zimo screamed in his head. 'Boss, it's not my fault that you chose the wrong elevator.'

"What are you doing? Lead the Way!" Fu Hua said in an annoyed tone.

With his actions, Jia Ki knew they were at the wrong place, and she was thinking if Fu Hua as the Big Boss of FJ didn't know his way around his company, then that was weird.

As Zimo was leading them through the hallway, they came face to face with some employees that were walking towards the meeting room.

They recognized their Big Boss and Zimo, but the woman their Big Boss was holding her hand, was a mystery to them as they didn't know her identity, and with her face all covered up, there was no way to see what she looked like.

'Could this be, 'The Hidden Wife?'" The thought and they stood at a place with curiosity in their eyes.

Fu Hua was angry at them and sent them a glare as he asked in his usual cold tone, "Are you tired of living?"

His employees apologized and ran towards the meeting room in fear.

Even Jia Li shuddered at his harsh tone. Fu Hua glanced at her, as Jia Li instinctively placed her other hand on her abdomen.

Fu Hua glanced at her abdomen and remembered the baby. He felt a little guilty. He didn't wait to see where his employees ran to as he followed Zimo.

Zimo led the way to his office obediently. He was scared he would lash out at him since didn't dare to make a sound.

When they got outside his office, Fu Hua asked Zimo to leave before keying in his password.

The door opened and he turned to tell Jia Li come in.

Jia Li followed him. As she walked in, the remarkable sight of Fu Hua's office greeted her. The view was amazing and her respect for Fu Hua leveled up.

Fu Hua was a man of great taste in style and fashion. He has the money, so he could get whatever he wanted.

"Sit anywhere you like." Fu Hua said to Jia Li as he walked straight to his table took a tablet from it. He walked back to the couch Jia Li was sitting on and passed it to her.

"Select what you want to eat, YingPei will be here to help you take your order." Fu Hua said to her.

Jia Li smiled that she didn't have to worry about her hunger. She took the tablet from him as thanked him.

Fu Hua dialed his brother's number and asked him to come over to take Jia Li's food order.

After the call, Fu Hua glanced at his wristwatch and said to Jia Li, "I'm leaving. You can keep yourself company with the tablet or the magazines, articles, or books on the shelf."

Jia Li watched him leave and sighed. She was grateful that he still cared for her. Before she thought his attitude has changed towards her, but now, she has confirmed that he still cared for her.

After the call, Fu YingPei left his work and took the elevator straight to the 5th floor, and went directly to Fu Hua's office.

He knew the passwords so it was easy for him to get in.

Fu YingPei walked into the office and saw that Fu Hua has already left and sighed in relief. He glanced over at Jia Li who still had the disguise on and smiled as he made his way towards her.

"Sister-in-law, relax nobody will dare to come in here, you can take off the mask and shade."

Fu YingPei was confident because there were only three people that knew the password to the office, Him, Zimo, and the owner (Fu Hua).

Jia Li relaxed and took off the disguise. She sighed now that she could breathe properly. Without her brother-in-law's reminder, she would have forgotten about it.

"Thank you!" She said in gratitude.

"No worries. What would you like to eat?" Fu YingPei asked with a kind smile.

Jia Li passed the tablet to him. Fu YingPei saved her food order on his phone and passed the tablet to her.

"Sister-in-law, I will be back soon." Fu YingPei said before leaving.

While he was away, Jia Li busied herself with the tablet. She was glancing through various clothing illustrations on the tab's gallery.

Fu YingPei came back 10 minutes later and even helped her to serve the food. Jia Li was embarrassed, but Fu YingPei set her heart at ease.

"If I don't take care of you, my brother will make me go on extinct."

Jia Li chuckled over the joke. She has always known that he had a good sense of humor.

After he left, Jia Li started eating, while Fu Hua was currently sitting at the head of the meeting table.

He has been quiet since the meeting started and refused to say a word. He allowed everyone present to make their contribution.

He was not happy that his top designer could be easily poached.

When the argument was getting louder, he said to them, "Enough! What's the use of arguing when it can't change what has happened? There is something wrong with the rules and regulations. I will amend it with the executive committee. I want to see which FJ Styles' employee would still dare to get poached and breach the contract."

Fu Hua's time was heavy and nobody dared to say a word.

"As for that designer, get the compensation for breaching the contract."
