Chapter 128 - Feng Alixs Trick Goes Wrong

The next morning when Fu Hua was enjoying his morning black coffee, his phone rang. He had no idea who was calling, but he decided to answer the call.

"Mr. Fu, it's me, Alix's manager." Feng Alix manager reported.

Because Fu Hua wanted to grab the sandwich Jia Li put on his plate, he chose to hold his mug of black coffee in his hand than holding his phone.

Fu Hua put his phone on speaker mode, and now, Jia Li who was sitting at the same table, was able to hear the conversation.

"Mr. Fu, Alix got in danger last night." The manager reported.

"Why did you call me? I don't have any business with her, didn't she tell you about it?" Fu Hua asked.

"Mr. Fu, I don't know what happened between you and Alix last night, But I called to check up on her last night since she was supposed to spend the night at your place, but someone else answered the call, and informed me that Alix was involved in a serious accident, was being rushed to the hospital."

After the manager revealed this news, Jia Li was surprised and worried, while Fu Hua's brows furrowed in a frown.

"Where is she?" He asked.

"In the hospital." The manager replied hastily.

"Send the address to me." Fu Hua instructed before terminating the call immediately and went back to eating his breakfast.

Jia Li who heard the whole conversation peered at him from the corner of her eyes.

"When you're ready, I will drop you in school first." Fu Hua said as he glanced at her. And at the same time, he seemed unbothered.

After breakfast, Fu Hua drove Jia Li to school, so the contracted driver didn't have to take her to school today.

After dropping Jia Li in school, Fu Hua drove straight to the address the manager sent to his phone.

On getting to the hospital, the manager was already waiting at the entrance for him.

"Mr. Fu." The manager called out as she bowed in greeting.

"Quick, I don't have time, take me to where she is." Fu Hua said without acknowledging her greeting.

"Yes, Sir." The manager said as she led the way for him while wondering if they had really broken up because, from his reaction and actions, he didn't seem to hold any feelings for Feng Alix.

"How did the accident happen?" Fu Hua asked.

"When she left your house, she got into the road without looking and a car hit her." The manager replied.

Fu Hua didn't say anything anymore till they got to the VIP room where Feng Alix was admitted.

When she was first brought to the hospital, she was in the general ward, but after her manager came, she was moved to the VIP ward.

When Fu Hua walked into the room, he saw Feng Alix lying on the bed with her eyes closed. She had bandages on her right leg and left hand. Also, there was a neck brace on her neck.

She was lying there with her eyes closed.

"What did the doctor say?" Fu Hua asked, taking a moment off to glance at the manager.

"She has a minor break on her neck with many bruises all over her body. Her right leg is broken, and there was a cut on her left hand." The manager reported.

"How long does she need for recovery?" Fu Hua asked before glancing back at Feng Alix.

The manager glanced at Fu Hua as she replied, "8 weeks at least."

"2 months? What about her work? As her manager, what do you plan to do about it?" Fu Hua asked with his gaze on her.

"I...I... will have to make some calls over there to take some weeks off, but I doubt it will work because she might be replaced from most of the works we managed to secure, 2 months it's a long time." The manager replied.

"How long did she plan to stay over there?" Fu Hua asked with a serious expression on his face.

He wanted to find out what Feng Alix's plans were if he was wrong about her being selfish.

The manager was tongue-tied and didn't know if she should say the truth, or cover up Feng Alix's lies.

Fu Hua who could tell what she was thinking, cautioned her immediately. "Don't try to lie."

The manager heard Fu Hua's cold tone and knew he was not to be trifled with, especially now that his heart was cold.

Glancing at Feng Alix who was still sleeping, she looked back at Fu Hua before she started to explain things. She told Fu Hua everything she knew about.

"I was never wrong, she didn't make plans for us, she was only after fame. She didn't think to tell me about her change of plans, did she think I'm just anyone, she can manipulate at her will?" Fu Hua said with a frosty look.

"Mr. Fu, she repented at the end, and that's the reason we came back so she could explain things to you and spend some time with you." The manager said as she tried to remedy the situation.

"I guess you still don't know that I am married." Fu Hua said to her.

The manager was so shocked, and now the reason for Feng Alix's accident was clear. She must have been so heartbroken that she ran into the road and had an accident.

"You, contact her agent. And as her manager, you should look after her. I don't have any business with her, so don't expect me to come back here." Fu Hua said before turning away to leave.

"Mr. Fu..." The manager called out, but all she could see was his back which was as hard as a rock.

Fu Hua didn't turn back and continued walking till he came out of the building and got into his car. He drove away without a second thought.

The manager glanced at Feng Alix who was still lying in bed and could only blame her because she was the cause of her problems.

Feng Alix deliberately walked into the middle of the road, but she didn't expect that the accident would be serious.

She just wanted to have a few scratches that could heal in two weeks, so Fu Hua would pity her and come to take care of her, and when two weeks were up, she would travel back, and not delay her projects over there.

But what she didn't expect was that the accident would be serious, and she would suffer a big loss.

The manager only has to wait till she woke up to break the news to her. Thinking of Feng Alix's reaction would be worthwhile because she would lose her important jobs, and the person's attention she was trying to get, failed.
