Chapter 36: 2nd Year

Time has passed.

Second year

Raz had become a 2nd Year student of Centrior Imperial Magical Academy.

The 3rd Year students had graduated and went on their chosen career path. The newly enrolled 1st Year student had brought with them a new fresh feeling. Raz and Folia had moved to Alisa and Marys room. Their original room was currently occupied by new juniors. This time, it was their turn to look after the new girls.

Raz had lost a little weight again during the long winter holidays, but she knew that she would gain the weight again after eating the delicious meals at the school.

Carna and Folia had asked her out during the holiday, but she had turned them down again. She was determined to join them on their next holiday by whatever means necessary.

Carna: Raz!

Raz: Carna-sama. Good morning.

Raz was reading a book in the classroom while sitting at the same seat as last year. Carna walked up to her with an excited look on her face. Look at this. I thought maybe we could hold a school festival this year.

Raz looked at the Centrior School Festival Plan booklet given to her. It seemed that Carna wanted to hold the school festival just like the plot in the otome game. The previous Carna would definitely avoid this plan because she was scared of her tragic ending. But the current Carna just wanted to fully enjoy her youth with Prince Ruben.

Raz: Sounds fun.

Carna: Isnt it? Then, would you do me a favor? Can you be a member of the School Festival Steering Committee?

Raz: Huh?

Carna: Id be more reassured if you can help because you have the memory from the previous life too. Can you help me?

Looking at Carna glancing up at her cutely, Raz was unable to reject her request. Sure. Im glad to help you. She accepted it without any hesitation.

Carna: Thank you everyone for helping out with the school festival planning this year.

Except for Raz, the members of the Steering Committee were consisted of the main characters from the otome game. They used an empty classroom as their workspace and began planning for the festival that would be held in the incoming autumn.

It was their first time holding a school festival so there might be some flaws but they hoped they could learn something from the experience.

Raz listened to the schedule discussion while worrying about the other event.

First of all, they needed to explain the concept of school festival to the students. If they couldnt picture it, then the planning could not make any progress.

Carna: Thats why Im going to make an image video of the school festival.

Raz felt deep respect towards Carna for having the courage to try to do such a thing in this world. She knew that it would be easy if they use the battle simulation machine in the military, but there was no way that she could tell them about it.

She thought she would wait and see what they would do, when Luca suddenly raised his hand. I think we can do it with my magic.

As expected from a golden egg[1]. Raz was surprised that they could manage it on their own.

Carna: Thank you, Luca! I will create the content with Raz. Is it okay, Raz?

Raz: Yes.

Although Raz also had the memory of her previous life, to her it was just a memory and she didnt experience it herself. She was a little worried. But when she looked at the highly motivated Carna, she felt perhaps it would work out somehow.

And so, the arc for school festival had begun.

[1] (lit. golden egg) means youth with promising future. This phrase will come up many times in future chapters and they will mention about breaking/hatching eggs, so Ill use the literal meaning. I know it sounds funny, but youll get used to it (or maybe not).
