Chapter 203: The Cure

Julian wiped off the shreds of ice which lingered on her face and her frozen hair returned to normal while the ice that was covering her body started dispersed instantly as she walked back towards her allocated room.

Her steps trembled a bit as she felt numbness in her legs while a discomforting feeling welled up from inside.

She felt a sharp excruciating pain near her chest as if she had been stabbed by hundreds of needles.

As she reached her waiting room, she saw her two maids waiting for her.

Seeing Princess's face which had become as pale as a sheet of paper, both of them panicked and rushed towards Julian to support her.

They have already expected this scenario when Julian used the ice domain and rushed here to help her when she returns.

Moreover, due to Will, Julian had to go all out which had surely taken a huge toll on her.

They rushed towards her and were about to support her when they heard Julian's scream.

"Wait! Don't touch me now." Julian screamed in panic but the maids didn't listen to her and as soon as they touched her.

They felt a jolt of chilling current course through their body and soon a chilling blast coerced through them which blast them off by a few steps.

Swooohh!

An icy aura emerged from Julian's body which froze the maids off while pushing them away.

The maid's hand froze and was covered with a frosty layer of ice that numbed their hands.

Julian fell to her knees and bit her lips to suppress the pain, she spoke with a deep and heavy voice"Call Miss Ami and tell her that it's an emergency."

Julian already guessed Ami should be on her way here and along with the medication which makes her pain ease a little.

Since there was no cure for her disease until Lucas's arrival, Julian mostly tries to contain the pain by herself trying to endure the pain.

The only help she would get was from the special chamber created for her which would heat and keep the room warm giving her a slight warmth.

Though it didn't help much still it helped in alleviating her condition by a margin.

Julian's vision started to become blurry and darkness covered her eyesight but before it became fuzzy, she felt a pair of warm hands touching her giving her a sense of solace and comfort.

Julian didn't know why but she felt a sense of security within the grasp of the hands and felt that no matter what the hands would never leave her even in the troubling times.

CLANKKK!

The door of the waiting room opened with a huge blast and Miss Ami appeared with dishevelled hair and shouted in a loud voice.

"Princess, are you alright?" Ami screamed and looked around.

"She is alright."

What answered her was a loud calm shout along with a gentle voice.

Ami looked around and was momentarily at the loss of words on seeing the scene.

Half of the room seemed to be frozen and covered with a layer of ice as if a snowy storm had taken the place and in the centre of the storm was the figure of the boy who held Julian in his arms in Princess carry position while his hands were covered in ice and icy aura seemed to envelop him, trying to devour him.

"Lucas!" Ami spoke with a panicked tone.

"Are you all alright?" She asked with a worried tone.

"Yes, I am alright, I am circulating the mana to contain the icy layer and counter attacking Princess icy mana and I think this will be over soon," Lucas asked and looked at Julian's face with a worried.

Seeing Julian's face he was amazed for a moment.

Though her face was as pale as a sheet as if she had lost a huge amount of blood carrying a hint of pain, her expression looked quite peaceful.

For a moment, the image of current Julian and future Julian interlaced in his heart and he thought that whether it was in the present or future, her beauty was hard to contend with and resist.

She was one of the most beautiful people Lucas had ever seen and most probably will ever see in his life.

"Lucas quickly follow me, I have already prepared Julian's special chamber," Ami spoke while asking Lucas to follow her along with the maids.

Lucas nodded and as he followed her, he looked at Julian once again.

"This life, I swear, I will protect you and firstly I will get rid of your illness and this chain in the form of the disease which had shackled you."

The sound of heavy footsteps echoed in the hallway which left behind a trail of ice...

......

The mana inside Julian's body was constantly shaking fiercely while her body tried to assimilate as much as possible heat from the surrounding.

Slowly and steadily her face started to regain her austere and the chillness started to subside slowly.

A warm sensation enveloped her giving her a cosy and comfy feeling that prolonged her peaceful rest.

She didn't know how much time had passed.

Whether it was a moment or a few days, she didn't know about it.

The only thing she could remember was having a good pleasant sleep after her consciousness faded away by the scrunching pain of illness due to the cold mana running amok.

The delicate eyelids adorned by thin eyelashes matching the silvery white hair of the beautiful woman who had been lying in the same position for an unknown amount of time quivered gently for a moment before finally beginning to move upward slowly.

Blinking a few times, her red eyes were unfocused and her body was feeling quite warm and cosy, making her feel extremely comfortable and giving her a soothing and relaxing feeling.

Julian closed her eyes again and sighed in her heart after trying to figure out her memories about what happened after the match.

As soon as she remembered it, her cheeks started to heat up as she had faint memories of Lucas carrying her in his arms.

She remembered Lucas's warm touch which made her reluctant to part with them.

Previously, Lucas had just touched her back but now she was sure that Lucas had touched more than that as he carried her.

"That scoundrel took advantage of me," Julian muttered with a coquettish voice which when heard may give a heart attack to many.

If anyone would be able to record her voice and leak it to the public, the entire Cyprus might burn.

"And who might be that scoundrel that you are referring to?"

Julian's brows furrowed when he heard a deep heavy voice which startled her.

She opened her eyes widely and stared at the figure with an expression full of astonishment and disbelief.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw that Lucas was standing by the window and was quite close to her bed while staring at the beautiful garden outside.

Julian looked at Lucas for a moment and as she moved her eyes, she saw a chair nearby his bed and could see the top layer of the couch was slightly pushed outward indicating that not long ago, a person sat there.

Seeing the impression left on it, Julian could conclude that one had to sit on it for many hours in a row to deform it like that.

"Were you here all this time?" She asked calmly with a reddened cheek while waiting for Lucas's answer and trying to calm herself down.

Even she hadn't noticed that her usual indifference had softened slightly when she spoke this time.

The coldness in her voice was not be found anywhere rather was filled with warmth and carried a tiny hint of concern.

Lucas looked outside and saw the flowers swaying in the gentle breeze and spoke"Yeah! You can so."

Julian opened her lips to speak but she was cut off in the mid of her sentence by Lucas.

"Princess, can you see the dairy on the table."

"Please take a look."

Julian raised her burrows and tilted her head to see a small red diary on the top of the table.

As far as she remembered there was no such thing on that table. Moreover, she doesn't use dairy so seeing the diary surprised him.

"What's in the diary?"Julian asked while raising her hands to hold it.

" The cure to your illness."Julian's eyeball widened and her hands stopped in the mid after hearing Lucas's words and her gaze interchanged between Lucas and dairy.

"What!"Julian asked with a soft voice and wondered if she heard anything wrong.

She closed her eyes trying to process the things and asked.

She didn't know how to react at the moment.

The cure for her illness was a great thing for her that could free her from the eternal suffering that she never wanted to suffer again.

"Lucas, from where did you get the treatment? I mean cure to my disease and when did you get it." Julian asked while looking at Lucas for the answer.
