Chapter 082: Completely Altered the Atmosphere

That day, Shien came to the adventurers guild just like always.

The moment he entered the guild, Shien found that a lot of adventurers immediately had their eyes on him. The noises all around had also dropped by quite a bit.

Shien ignored all that and leisurely moved through the hall as if he was already used to it.

The surrounding adventurers watched Shien as he did so as they started quietly gossiping.

Recently, hes always been coming to the guild on his own.

The adventurers there just quietly conversed like so. Their eyes were filled with caution as they looked at Shien. For some of them, there was even terror.

Recently, due to what had happened before, there were quite a few adventurers who tried to make trouble for Shien.

That included the huge adventurer that Shien had sent flying with a kick. The next day, he dragged everyone in his party along with a bunch of other adventurers who disliked Shien to ambush Shien at the door.

Therere all kinds of people in the world after all. Adventuring is also a profession where people tend to live by the sword, so how could they not have something of a temper?

Although it wasnt the first time that Shien felt that it was seriously cliched, adventurers are just like that, so it was only natural that there would be so many individuals who acted with reservation.

However, since Shien clearly knew how the plot would go, why in the world would he bother following it along?

Thus, to avoid troublesome matters, Shien used a few methods which ended up terrifying all the adventurers.

Take the matter just mentioned above. Shien long since anticipated all that. The next day, while a bung of vicious looking adventurers waited for him at the door ready to teach Shien a lesson, what Shien instead did was to drag some patrolling knights over.

Look, thats them. They surrounded me with hostile intentions and even tried to threaten me, to force me to tell them where that Old Demon Faction criminal was. I think they might be spies from the Old Demon Faction, so please help me sir knights!

At the time, Shien thus innocently dropped a huge chunk of blame right onto those adventurers.

And yet, Shiens little tactic was seriously believable too.

Originally, Shien did in fact subjugated Jillian. That matter had long since been known throughout the knight brigades. Plus, given that Shein did seem to also make contact with the person that the Old Demon Faction was seeking, the knights have been keeping an eye on Shien the whole time.

This also came from requests on Leili and Vivians parts. The who of them had mentioned that Shien was the only person that Leisha didnt just chase away. Plus, the Old Demon Faction did end up taking a hit from him, so they could very well have it out for him later. Thus, the two of them did end up contacting the knights to ask them to keep an eye on Shien and his surroundings.

The result is that Shien saw through all that. He also understood the matter, and with that, struck keenly and accurately.

Thus, on that day, everyone at the door, including that huge adventurer, were all taken away by a bunch of very serious knights to their station for some tea. If thing went bad, they seriously could have been forced to live with the title of Old Demon Faction spies.

The other people around who were looking forward to a fight and instead witnessed all that ended up dumbfounded by the turnabout.

Afterwards, every single time adventurers like that tried to make trouble, Shien just ran out for a group of knights without a second word. He made accusations about getting threatened in private on one hand while crying about the unfairness of receiving troubles for him doing a service to the Kingdom in capturing a criminal. His accusations and acting about how hes lost faith in the Kingdom, guild, society and world as a whole over all this ended up seriously making even the knights feel guilty.

Thus, after all that, the knights just directly dispatched a small squad to patrol around the guild. The adventurers who knew how all this came about thus started treating Shien as a fearsome devil and turned completely meek and obedient in his presence.

This was especially true for the adventurers who got taken away by the knights. After they got back, they ended up kneeling in front of Shien as they apologized and begged for mercy while in tears.

Only afterwards did everyone finally find out. Back when those guys were being led away by the knights, Shien especially told the knights that the Old Demon Faction might send people to rescue Jillian, and those guys who purposefully antagonized him might have been given tasks, so they should take special care. The result is that those adventurers ended up being harshly interrogated.

As they were being led away, Shien even left some last words along the lines of I wonder, given that all these virile knights lack female company, would they perhaps be interested in the tender asses of adventurers. It ended up tormenting the thoughts of those adventurers, and they ended up unable to even sleep at night. The mental damages were quite severe.

With all that, how would they dare to try anything more against Shien?

Theyd rather pray that Shien doesnt try anything else against them!

After they found out all about that, theres no way that the adventurers wouldnt end up looking at Shien with fear and terror, right?

Thus, there were even the following gossip going around the adventurers guild.

What? You dont like that newbies face? Is your home out of tea or something?

What? That mere newbies being too arrogant just because hes close to miss Vivians group? Do you want to be known as an Old Demon Faction spy or something!

What? Youre looking down on the guy because he only reached level 10 at age 20 and he doesnt have any skills? I suggest you worry about your own ass first!

This is our sincere warnings to you as your seniors. Dont provoke him. Otherwise, never mind a will, even your last words will end up stolen before youre sent flying with a single kick.

Dont say that we didnt warn you. As adventurers, demonic beasts arent all that scary, but youll be having some fun when you meet a real devil.

Shien had completely altered the atmosphere of the adventurers guild all on his own.

Shien, who did all that, just acted seemingly without a hint of self awareness while under the awed gaze of all the adventurers. He went ahead and moved to go upstairs to the library again.

However, before he could, the guild receptionist at the counter had a message for Shien.

Ah, Mr. Shien. Miss Vivian and her group are currently at the room on the second floor. She told us to let you know to join them if you happened to be here.

Having heard that, Shien stopped moving.

Finally going to assemble again huh?

Shien let out a small smile before unhesitatingly heading straight to the second floor room.

There, everyone of Vivians party had indeed assembled again.
