The adventurer Shien is to be granted a title of nobility. He shall be named an honorary viscount.

News like this spread out within the Capital and became known to nobles and commoners, one after another.

There were several newly made barons in just this year alone, so the citizenry of the Capital have long since gotten used to news about so and so being raised to nobility.

Given all that, its been a very long time since an ennobling has been talked about so excitedly.

However, the news of Shien being made a noble had spread very quickly, and is also a common topic of conversation, and it quickly spread across every nook and cranny of the Capital.

There are several reasons for this.

One of them is that its indeed quite rare for someone to be directly made a viscount.

Besides that, Shien himself is quite a well known figure within the Capital recently. Him taming the black dragon of Ataru, revealing the plot of the Garibaldi family, breaking the evil ritual over the Ataru Canyons, and even nearly annihilating the National Knight Order. All those matters basically illuminated him, making it so that he still has a lot of attention on him even now.

Besides that, Shien had also previously subjugated the Old Demon Faction led by Baydr. This made it so that the citizenry who lived through the terror of that Old Demon Factions assault on the Capital all had quite a good impression of Shien.

There also the fact that the Kingdom is purposefully spreading the news in order to let the nobility and other nations know that Shien was already taken. This way they can wipe out any thoughts that those nobility and foreign countries might have. As such, it ended up also creating even more attention on Shiens ennobling.

Unfortunately though, in a directly opposite reaction to the commoners, many of the nobility are instead very upset with this matter.

He must have only been made a viscount from the start due to his relationship with Princess Lucilosti, right?

Hes just a mere viscount. How dare he draw so much attention?

In my opinion, we should find an opportunity to properly teach him what the rules of nobility are.

Those nobles seethed in jealousy. One after another spoke excitedly, but in the end, not a single one of them dared to actually try to put that into action.

Its obvious that it was merely empty boasting.

After all, theres no way that theyd consider themselves stronger than the National Knight Order. They have even less thought that they can possibly do anything against that dragon that has been famous for 400 years.

That said, its exactly for that reason that theyre all the more jealous.

Its because they know full well that, given Shiens abilities and that princesss favor, in the future, he may very well rise even higher in the future.

Perhaps, not long from now, even their one pride, their family, will end up losing to him in comparison.

When that happens, they not only wont dare to provoke this former adventurer, but even that princess may end up marrying him due to the rise in his status.

Thats absolutely not something that many nobles would want to see.

Thanks to that, the matter of Shiens ennobling was also a major topic among the noble circles as well.

It really is quite unusual for a mere honorary viscount to get so much attention.

Unfortunately for them, after several days of screaming, they saw that Shien was still visiting the palace every single day without any issues at all. Thus those nobles also realized that he wasnt someone that they can mess around with so they could only push down their anger and quiet down.

Shien basically just ignored all the clamoring outside. If anyone tries to pick a fight with him, then hell just kick right back. If no one is making trouble for him, then hell dive into the magic library below the palace to study hard in attempting to finish learning astro and enchant magic.

During this time period, Lucy brought Shien several pieces of news.

Your ennobling ceremony will take place at the end of the month.

At that time, Shein will need to head to the audience chamber again to accept the Kings conferment of his new title.

After the conferment of your title is done, based on the rules, youll need to hold a noble banquet in your new home. Therefore, you need to make sure to find enough servants and chefs before the end of the month, properly clean up your home and prepare for this banquet so as to not embarrass yourself.

Lucy had stated that Shien can write his own invitations and invite others to this banquet. Alternatively, he could also not bother with invitations, but then others wont join his banquet. It all depends on whether or not your name is well known enough, whether your connections are wide enough, and whether or not others will find you worth associating with.

Supposedly, the purpose of this particular banquet is to show off ones own might as a noble. The more people who join it, the mightier it shows one to be. Also, the higher the status of ones guests also shows higher capabilities as a noble.

This is equivalent to showing off ones own connections. Of how many people on on their side. Of whether or not one has the capabilities to create a high quality banquet.

Generally speaking, a banquet held by someone who was just ennobled tend to be fairly quiet. Theyd have very few nobles show up, and most of those would be personal friends. If its a viscount, there generally also wont be too many guests, but thats not something that youll need to worry about.

Lucy said those words to Shien with a deeply meaningful tone, making the corner of Shiens mouth twitch.

That reckless princess wouldnt be thinking about coming herself, would she?

If that really did happen, the Shien could already imagine just what his ennobling banquet will end up exploding into.

Its basically impossible for anyone not at least a count to be able to get a member of royalty to show up at their banquet.

Princess Lucy however is even more special. Up until now, she had never shown up at any ennobling banquet. She has rarely even shown up at any ennobling ceremony.

Given that, if that girl actually shows up, then Shiens banquet will definitely end up completely exploding unless the Kingdom purposefully tries to suppress things.

Shien decided to simply completely ignore the matter.

Its not the kind of thing that Shien likes in the first place after all.

Seeing Lasha like that, Shien had both relaxed and was a little scared.

As for Vivian, Diere, Lumia, and Melika, those girls have been busy discussing their future plans together, and at this point, they were still trying to help Lumia with her issues.

Airi also found out about Shien becoming a noble soon, but she didnt have any opinions on it.

Thankfully though, Shien did manage to succeed in stopping Airi in the end, making her run off to find Yulin in a bad mood.

During this period of time, Airi had always been doing that. She would go to Yulin whenever she has some free time. Shien didnt know what she was doing either. It was super suspicious.

Shien even wants to bring Yulin over.

Supposedly, the northern districts stables hasnt had a day of calm since that miss dragon started staying there.

All the demonic beasts there, including the wyverns, were all shivering in terror every single day while under the same roof as Yulin. They couldnt properly eat or sleep, and they were pretty much on the verge of rampaging.

Those people responsible for taking care of the demonic beasts also didnt care to approach Yulin at all. The moment they get close, theyd end up being scared half to death by an angry roar, so every single one of them acted like they were serving a violent tyrant.

Thus, Shien wants to bring Yulin over to stay with him.

If the place that the Kingdom is giving Shien is big enough, then he wants to build a dragons nest specifically for Yulin to stay in.
