Chapter 255: Pop

Booom!

The air was trembling.

It was because of the chaotic flow of multiple sources of magical power that shook the air.

Countless spells came out of nowhere suddenly from far away, showing down where Shien and Airi was.

It was a scene alike that of a banquet of magic. Quite awesome to behold.

However, that awesome show of magic was unquestionably there to take Shiens life.

Shien just gazed up at those countless spells showering down toward him before raising up the magic staff in his hand.

Shien spoke out the incantation for activating the staff.

Instantly, the gem on top of the staff released a blinding light.

A wave of magic power expanded out in a circle, covering Shien and Airi, and protected the two of them like a barrier.

Fizz!

All the spells that entered the protective barrier simply evaporated into thin air with a fizz and disappeared without a trace.

This is one of the magical effects of the staff, the ability to dispel magical power.

Their opponents didnt seem to expect that their spells would all be instantly erased, and were greately startled.

However, they didnt seem to have completely lacked any sort of mental preparations for something like that, so they immediately ready the next assult.

The next moment, another display of magic was released.

Countless spells once again shot forth, disrupting the air and magical power they passed through and fell like thousands of arrows.

However, this time, their target wasnt Shien anymore, but the canyon walls and the ground around Shien.

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!!!

With countless magical explosions and a wave of noise, the canyons walls and the earth was blown apart, blasting countless rocks to fall down as well as create craters in the earth.

Shien and Airi both raise their eyebrows. One immediately flew backwards while the other simply stood quietly in place, calmly watching all this unfold without a hint of concern.

That brat

After quickly retreating a certain distance and avoiding that catastrophic scene, Shien watched as Airi was buried alive. However, rather than being worried, he instead just acted resigned.

Immediately after though, Shien once again raised his head and looked around.

Thats because attackers have come.

With a number of rushes of air, a number of shadowy figures appeared around Shien in a flash, completely surrounding him.

They were all knights.

However, those knights were all wearing pitch black full plate along with helms. They were also armed to the teeth.

Black knights?

That unexpected sight made Shien actually surprised for a moment.

His opponents have grasped that moment as an opening, however, and they instantly moved.

Every single one of them started charging at him, bringing up their weapons and attacking Shien without any hesitation.

[Enchant Explosion].

Shien immediately released his magic, enchanting the air around him with an explosive status.

This made the air around Shien undergo rapid expansion before finally exploding in a terrifying shockwave, blasting outward.

Previously, Shien had subjugated countless werewolves with that move.

However, this time, Shiens magic was ineffective.

Magical barriers appeared in front of each and every one of the black knights, blocking the shockwave from striking them and pushing it to the sides.

Obviously, the mages who put up the earlier displays of magic were still hidden away. When they saw that direct magic attacks were ineffective, they immediately switched to supporting from the back and cast defensive magic for the black knights.

This is some training huh?

Shien was slightly surprised.

However, Shien did not move foolishly. When the black knights started attacking him, he quickly switched the magic staff in his hand for his Holy Sword.

The battle that then took place was quite amazing to behold.

Of course, whats amazing was just Shiens actions.

Faced with the black knights who charged before him and were swinging down their weapons without mercy trying to cut him down, Shiens figure shifted, and with a few steps, managed to avoid every single blow.

With the [Dodge] and [Close-Quarters Dodge] skills, Shiens dodging ability is already beyond compare. Even surrounded and attacked en mass, Shien could still see through all his enemies attacks. The, with the combat skills and tactical control fo the [War God] skill, he had dodged every strike with in shortest and most effective ways.

It wasnt just that either.

As he dodged, Shien also skillfully maneuvered his body, switched positions, and grabbed the weapon of one of the attacking black knights with one hand as he held his sword with the other. Then, facing the black knight that was attacking him mercilessly, Shien launched his own merciless strike.

Rip!

The strike flashing with crimson magic power easily cut through the defensive magic on the black knight along with his body, showering the air with blood.

Rip! Rip! Rip!

Shien continued to shift easily about as he continued to launch strikes enhanced with [Magic Sword], cutting down every single black knight there and painting the ground red.

In the end, in just the blink of an eye, dozens of black knights had already fallen in pools of their own blood lifelessly.

How could this!

On a cliff some distance away from the battlefield, a pair of knights in black witnessed this scene, visibly shocked.

The 101 black knights that our Garibaldi family had painstakingly raised in secret were so easily!?

Thats impossible!

The two of them were unwilling to believe the sight before their eyes.

Every one of those black knights were level 50 after all. Each one had cost countless resources to raise up. Yet, every one of them was simply slain with one blow each. Thats unbelievable.

Those two angrily roared out in the face of that.

What responded to them however was a very young sounding voice.

Stop shouting. With their levels, their hearts would instantly explode from being too close when Im releasing the full force of my aura. Thus, they cant hear you anymore.

Those words made the two of them stiffen up completely.

The next moment, the two of them saw a tiny figure appear in front of them without a trace.

The moment that voice fell, the two frozen individuals felt a terrifying aura crash down upon them.
