Chapter 136: Lets Have A Chat About Life

After entering the Capital, Shien discovered that it was even more prosperous than he had imagined.

Not only were the amount of people and traffic amazing, nor was it just the fact that the knights and adventurers coming and going were all generally high leveled. Even the economy and design were developed.

In the Capital, everything were chalk white buildings constructed from stone. The ground was paved with clean and neat stone roads. The roads were also purposefully divided up into three sections. The middle section was specifically reserved for carriages, while the two sides were for pedestrians. Plus, not only were the roads wide, they also extended far and away. It actually made Shien feel like he was looking at a modern highway. The only difference is that the ground wasnt paved with asphalt but instead beautiful stone bricks.

There werent anything like street vendors here either. It was all neatly arrayed storefronts, forming instead into various neat shopping streets. These shopping streets were also all divided up. Some only sold fruits and vegetables, while others only sold equipment and weapons. There was even a tall tower set in the center of the merchant district, supposedly the whole thing was the highest grade equipment and potions seller in the Kingdom. Even Shien was tempted to head over for a look.

As for the people, they were completely different from Lamdrion be it in the way they were dressed or just their general attitudes. They all had an expensive feeling to them. They looked like they didnt have a hard time living at all. Even the knights and adventurers wore high leveled equipment, and all of them were fully and completely equipped. They were nothing like the adventurers of Lamdrion whose equipment were mismatched and patchwork.

Thats the difference between them.

Shien finally understood why the Capital was known as the center of the world.

Really, the difference was a bit too large compared to other places.

Rather, as expected of a city founded by a Hero from another world, huh?

Likely, a lot of the design and general systems used for the Capital were things that the Hero took from their own world, right?

Either way, Shien did see certain elements of modern civilization in this Captial. If not for the difference in architectural styles, this place could probably be made into a modern major city.

After all, given that it was a Hero, which was enough to prove that he should have been like Shien. The goddess wouldnt have recovered memories and knowledge relating to his previous worlds technology.

It was for the sake of not letting another worlds technology and knowledge to overly influence or affect this world. Thus, the goddess purposefully did not restore that kind of memories or knowledge.

Thus, the Hero a thousand years ago probably only imported a certain amount of style from a modern city. Something like actually making a modern city with skyscrapers and stuff was completely impossible, never mind stuff like scientific developments.

Even so, the impression that the Capital gave Shien was still pretty fantasy like.

When they arrived, the butler welcomed Vivian, Shien, and the rest, lead everyone in, and set them up in already prepared rooms. The hospitality was quite complete.

After asking about it, Shien found out that Leili seemed to have long since predicted that Vivian would be brining everyone to stay at the Latrard family home, so she sent a letter over some time ago asking for the family to properly take care of Shien and the rest.

The head of the Latrard family was currently over at the adventurers guild, and he hasnt come back yet. Thus they didnt meet him yet.

Thus, everyone put away their luggage and washed up before gathering once again at the main hall on the first floor.
