The other creatures slowly moved back enough until they thought they were out of his attack's range but their eyes were still glued to the white candle flame that was about to be put out any second.

Hao Xuan looked at the 17 or so creatures in front of him with even more behind him and knew this wasn't a fight he could take on alone especially while protecting Ma Jiang. The moment the flame was gone they would all bum rush him at once.

Hao Xuan closed his eyes and called for the Scorpion King, "Come to me!"

But the moment his soul bond connected with the Scorpion King he felt what he was going through. He was already engaged in combat and not too far away either. Yet he wouldn't be able to make it to him before the flame ran out.

"Damn it!"

He looked towards the unconscious girl in his embrace. She was holding onto the candle with one hand and his shirt with the other. Even if Hao Xuan managed to make out by some miracle, she would not.

So left with no other option Hao Xuan called for some help, despite it not being the correct time yet. His consciousness reached into the Mind Palace and pulled out the strongest beings that he could detect.

"Guess there is no choice then huh, come out!"

Just as he uttered the words a gust of Ying Qi blew past him, putting out the flame for good. The nearby creatures were waiting for just that moment and charged towards him all at once, just as he had predicted.

Hao Xuan braced for impact, bending forward to cover Ma Jiang with his own body as much as possible. But before any of them could reach him the air vibrated powerfully as an energy discharge of unknown origin surrounded Hao Xuan.

*WoooOOOP*

Four towering silhouettes materialized out of thin air but even before the rest of their bodies could solidify, their fists met with the charging spirits head-on.

One explosion after another was followed by an eruption of a pale white light that surrounded Hao Xuan. When he opened his eyes a second later and saw those who stood in front of him, his mouth fell open from shock, especially after sensing their aura.

Spirit Realm Peak Stage and what was more impressive was that he couldn't detect the end of their Qi reserves. If there actually was a limit, Hao Xuan couldn't see it.

They were all facing him. Each one of them was completely expressionless but he could still feel the overwhelming bloodlust that was unwittingly leaking out. It didn't feel like they were completely awake yet.

A good meter taller than Hao Xuan they looked down at him. Their pupilless eyes conveyed all that needed to be said. They were waiting for orders.

"Kill everything that stands in my way," Hao Xuan commanded with a thumping heartbeat, unsure if they could actually pull it off.

"Yes." x4

They replied in one loud voice that was not only an affirmation but the implementation of his commands. A ring of ethereal light was generated from their voices that expanded in size until Hao Xuan was completely surrounded by it. It was actual magic!

The four Orc warriors then turned away. The same kind of light started to surround their bodies before congregating around their fists, slowly taking shape into identical weapons.

When the light vanished each of them was holding onto a two-meter-long ethereal battle axe that was wider than the bridge they were standing on. They raised the axes atop their heads and brought them down on the concussed creatures that had yet to wrap their minds around what was happened.

Hao Xuan's surroundings became so bright that he had no choice but to look away.

Yet Jin Wang did the impossible. He moved back just enough and in the only safe spot that Xue Meng's next move missed him by the skin of his teeth.

But it didn't come free of cost. Jin Wang's forehead was covered in a thin layer of blood. With gritted teeth he pushed against the ground and shouted.

"You better calm down man before this gets out of hand, don't make me get serious!"

But Xue Meng's expression only got brighter upon hearing his 'threats'.

"I have looked and looked, and finally found you. This is meant to be and there is nothing you can do against it. Fight me now! AAH!"

But while they were engaged in mortal combat, Ceni looked around to make sure nobody else was watching.. Her body then slowly turned into a red mist and entered the ground, completely vanishing from sight.
