Chapter 75 - Concealed Powers

"RETREAT!" Kuo gave the orders to the Mad Saints that were just standing in a daze. His voice woke them up and they fell back to surround Hao Xuan.

"Is he going to be okay?" Mia asked with a rarely seen uneasy expression.

"I don't know," Kuo checked his condition and his expression turned grave. Hao Xuan was in bad shape, his pulse was slowing down by the second. If this continued then death was inevitable.

"Bring me the boy, kill the rest," Jiang Ling ordered after a brief period of silence and all the soldiers regrouped and got ready to attack.

"Protect the captain! Don't let a single one through!" Hashirama shouted when he saw the Jia get ready to attack. He and Maddy took vanguard positions and got ready for the upcoming battle.

To say that everyone present had their hearts in their throats would be an understatement.

"Attack!" the Jia finally charged straight towards the Mad Saints, led by Steel and the other two Spirit Realm warriors.

Hashirama and Maddy looked at each and saw the unwavering determination and knew what had to be done.

"Damn it," Maddy shook his head gloomily and pressed his right hand on his chest and twisted. Hashirama cut open his fingers and let the blood drip down his scimitars.

*BANG*

With a loud sound from Maddy's body, his aura skyrocketed and Qi exploded outwards. Red energy started coming off of Hashirama's swords and his Qi exploded as well.

"Bloody moon!" He shouted swung both the scimitars in front of him, sending a fiery red slash straight towards the incoming soldiers.

Maddy's eyes had no pupils remaining and were completely white as if he was possessed. He held the silver sword with both his hands and a red fire enveloped the blade instantly.

"Burning Dawn!" he shouted somberly and shot out like a rocket to meet the soldiers and swung his burning sword with all he had.

*BANG*BANG*BANG*

A swarm of fireballs landed in the middle of the Jia soldier formation, lighting several of them on fire. They started screaming and tried to put out the fire but to no avail. Within a few seconds, all that was left of them were burnt armors.

Steel, Dagger, and Ox, Jiang Ling's bodyguards finally couldn't take it and jumped ahead of everyone straight towards Hao Xuan.

Hashirama side-stepped and moved in to stop Steel, Maddy collided with Dagger, but there was no one to stop Ox as he madly sprinted straight into the Mad Saints formation with his gigantic club, literally batting away half a dozen of them.

Kuo's expression was already extremely serious. Hao Xuan's heartbeat was down to just 10 beats per minute. He looked up at Ox who was just 5 meters away from him at this point and punched in the air.

A massive fist of pure Qi materialized in front of him and shot towards Ox, smashing him down into the ground. But barely after a second the giant got out of the ground and grinned at Kuo.

"Not enough," he said and held the club above his and brought it straight down in front of him. At this distance the impact would be enough to rip Hao Xuan's injured body into several pieces if it connected.

"NOO!" Kuo shouted in panic, Hao Xuan was in no condition to be moved and he was too far to stop the attack at this point so he stood in front of Hao Xuan to use his body to take it head-on.

But just as the club was about to hit the ground, a dainty little hand appeared in front of it, stopping it instantly. Ox's purlicue ripped apart and blood flowed down like a waterfall.

"What!?" he was stupified. It felt like he had just hit a mountain of metal, the force rebounded from his attack and hurt his own hand instead.

With a stupified expression, he pulled the club back up to see what happened and saw a man standing in front of him, smiling. He was smaller this Ox's own club, that's why he couldn't see him.

"That's far enough. We don't want to do things we regret now do we?" the man smiled at him.

When the attack didn't connect, Kuo slowly turned his head and his eyes constricted as well.

"You? Wha- How?" he stammeringly asked.

Hashirama and Maddy stopped and turned around to see and were flabbergasted.

"Our captain is not in a good condition right now, please come again later," the man smiled and gently slapped Ox's chest.

"Hu-" before he could the word out, Ox shot back like a cannonball, straight into Jiang Ling.

Jiang Ling's expression changed and he used his massive arms to stop the incoming giant and was pushed back a dozen meter.

Finally coming to a stop, he put down the now unconscious Ox and checked his body to see a palm print embedded deep into the chest.

With furrowed brows, he slowly looked up at the man and his expression changed in an instant as he used his arms to block the incoming leg from the man that was now standing right in front of him.

With a bang, he was yet again kicked more than 20 meters away. At this point, everyone had stopped their own fights and were just staring at the man in complete and utter disbelief.

"The fun's just started, let's not get carried away here," he said with a half smile. Kuo's expression finally returned to normal after a few seconds.

"No wonder the general wanted me to rope you in," he mumbled but the man still heard him and turned around to look at him.

Jiang Ling came sprinting back like a mad bull, straight towards the man.

"Kiddo, this won't work on me," he smiled in response and with a step appeared right next to him, and slapped him on the back of his head, like an elder playfully slapping a juniors head.

*BAAANG*

With a loud sound, Jiang Ling's head felt like it was hit with a hammer and went straight down into the ground, his momentum now working against him pushed his head further in. Half of his 18 feet long body was buried in the earth now.

The man didn't wait and simply kicked his abdomen once again and he sent him flying straight up for more than a hundred meters.

Hashirama and Maddy were standing there with mouths agape. How could he be so powerful?

Finally, Mason and the other newbies woke up from their daze and looked at the man, and he fearfully spoke up, "W-Was brother Jin always this powerful?"
