Chapter 304 - Taunt

*ROAAR*

"AAHH!"

Hao Xuan shot back like a rocket, breaking an entire cavern wall and falling more than 3 kilometers away.

He crawled out of the rubble and tried to stand up but ended up falling to his knees. His body was mostly safe but his head wasn't. Since the headpiece was missing, whenever he was thrown back like that he would get dizzy and several times ended up spitting blood.

With blurred vision, he looked in the direction of the Scorpion King and sighed. The fight had been going on for almost 15 minutes and he wasn't coming out on top even with all the help and the armor.

Maybe it was because the armor wasn't working at full capacity or maybe the opponent was too strong, but either way, this had to end and quick!

He could feel the entire cavern shaking every now and then, sounds of explosions permeating through the entire underground dungeon.

Swallowing back the blood that was coming up his throat he clicked on the watch.

"Baracus, send him in as well. I can't do this alone."

*Beep*

"Copy that. I'll assign Jia Tu his role then."

"Yeah, that's fine."

Using the Glaive as support he got back on his feet while fighting off the waves of pain that were traveling throughout his body.

"Alright, let's try this one last time!" he tightened his grasp on the Glaive as it hummed back in response. It felt what Hao Xuan was feeling.

Living weapons were an extension of a cultivator's body, like an extra limb of sorts. Although the pain Hao Xuan was in wouldn't transfer over to the glaive, it could still feel his emotions and his body's response to it.

Maybe the Glaive wanted to end the fight even more than Hao Xuan himself.

As he channeled the Severing Qi through it, it started glowing with a pale red light with energy building inside it.

Hao Xuan then channeled the Chaos Qi to his left hand, creating a small sphere of black cloud.

This was the result of his training for the last few weeks. All his understanding of Chaos was held in that few inches wide sphere.

The Scorpion King was staring in Hao Xuan's direction. He wanted to lunge at the fleshy little thing and tear it limb from limb but the restrictions placed around the cavern made it so he could never step out of it.

That was the only reason the fight had gone on this long. Whenever Hao Xuan was thrown outside he would take a minute or two to recover and then attack again.

And every time he would try something else, a new energy, a new attack or technique. The longer the fight went on, the better he was getting, and it was giving him a very bad feeling.

"IS THAT IT HUMAN? IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE?" his deep, raspy voice echoed loudly in the cavern as he tried to taunt him.

Everyone that was able to had already moved back to the entrance of the cavern and out of their way. Right now Fan Xinya, Arizou, Cia Kang, and all the other leaders were watching from the same spot.

Cia Kang couldn't help but throw hateful glares towards Jia Tu's way every now and then.

'Why would he, a Jia Royal, throw away the honor and the prestige that came with his name and join a weak little human?'

He looked at Hao Xuan and couldn't help but scoff in disdain. His prince was better!

The crown prince Jia Heng, a born leader, a warrior of unbelievable might and wisdom, how could a mere mortal compete with him? He felt guilty just by comparing Jia Heng with Hao Xuan.

He had fought with Jia Heng first hand. As a cultivator with a special physique, he was always arrogant. Always believed that he was better than his peers, that is until he met that man.

Even when their cultivation levels were the same, Cia Kang who had a physique built for defense wasn't able to take a single attack from him. It was then he realized that the world wasn't fair. Some people were born different, superior to others in every way possible.

"I will let his highness know of your betrayal firsthand," he mumbled to himself but Jia Tu who was just a few feet away heard him clearly.

He was never a blind follower of Jia Heng. He had grown up with him and knew everything about him, the good and the bad. To him he wasn't anything special. But a human who was able to bring anyone under his control, how high could he go in this world?

'One day, you will all serve him as I do. The only difference will be how he treats you then,' he smiled thinking to himself.

*Bzzt*

His spirit band vibrated, a message from Baracus.

'Finally...'

He turned around and walked back the way they had come down.

Cia Kang and a few others were surprised when they saw him leave but none of them was in a position to stop him.

"Yeah, I'm getting tired of this. Let's end it with this one yeah?" Hao Xuan's voice came in response to the Scorpion King's earlier taunting.

He walked back into the cavern. Both his arms were swelled up. The living armor had to expand to compensate for the extra muscle.

The Scorpion King smiled inwardly but froze when he saw him stop just outside the Cavern's boundary.

"Scared?" he asked in a low voice.

Hao Xuan smiled and looked at his watch, "No, just waiting for someone to arrive."

"!!!"

The Scorpion King instantly put up his guard and started looking around, before staring at the cavern's entrance.

"Hahaha, finally it's my turn! Rejoice, mortals! For you get to witness my greatness firsthand as I-" a loud and excited voice came from outside.

Hao Xuan frowned, "Hurry the f*ck up already!"

The voice immediately stopped and the sounds of hurried footsteps came instead. A second later a green monster came into view.

"A...kappa?"

Everyone who was excitedly waiting for the owner of the previous comment to arrive felt somewhat deceived after looking at him.

Even the Scorpion King was confused. He looked at Hao Xuan for answers, "Is....this it?"
