Chapter 101 - Death Walk (4)

The gate on the other side opened once again and this time stepped out eight Rams. They were the same size as a cow and had long twisted horns on their heads. The horns were completely white and were made of ivory.

"Hmm, this should be interesting," Hao Xuan smirked looking at them.

"Alright, come at me," he stood with his arms extended and looked at the rams.

Rams were naturally unruly creatures and without even being disturbed would 'ram' everything in their sight. Upon seeing Hao Xuan's provocative stance, they growled and charged straight at him.

Hao Xuan was smiling looking at them. He didn't move out of the way or defend.

"What is he doing? Why is he just standing there?" Fifth telepathically asked Third when she saw his actions.

"I don't know. Just watch, we'll step in if it gets out of hand," Third replied while looking at Hao Xuan.

All eight rams charged forward like crazed bulls and with a loud bang, connected with Hao Xuan's body.

The smirk on his face vanished instantly as he shot backward with blood coming out of his mouth.

*BOOOM*

The dust settled and everyone could finally see what happened. There was a human-shaped hole on the side of the field and Hao Xuan was 'embedded' inside it.

His chest was mangled and a rib was poking out of the skin.

"Oh dear god, not again!" Kuo stood up when he saw his condition.

"Ahh, is he dead?" Mrs. Khan asked while looking away from the screen. The twins were already hiding behind Mr. Khan.

*Cough*Cough*

"Fuck, that was a little dangerous..." Hao Xuan spat out some blood.

"A little? If you didn't have the physique, you'd be dead," Mr. Hyde's angry voice sounded next to his ear.

"Jeez, I get it. I'm trying something here," he retorted.

"Fine, do what you want," and his voice vanished.

Hao Xuan closed his eyes and started circulating his Qi. The wounds on his chest started wriggling.

"A little more," he looked down and said. Ever since he came out of the cocoon, he knew there was something different with his body and just then with the impact he confirmed it.

He couldn't feel any pain. All the other sensations were there, but from the horrendous wound on his chest, he couldn't feel any pain at all.

"Interesting. Come here little beast," he smiled at one of the rams and started running towards it.

*Growl*

It stomped its feet and charged once again.

*BAAAANG*

It sounded like a gun went off and a cloud of dust appeared where they connected. After a few seconds it settled and everyone could Hao Xuan holding on to the ram's horns.

Both of them were pushing forward but it was a stalemate. Neither could move the other.

"Hehe, you're not so tou-" Hao Xuan spoke up but his eyes suddenly constricted as two other rams came from his left and right and hit him head-on.

"Ahhh!" he finally screamed out. His blood splattered across the ground painting it red.

"Hahaha, there it is!" he finally felt the pain.

"Again!" he circulated the Qi from both his meridians and lifted one of the rams up and swung it around like a bat, hitting the other two.

"Come on!" he could feel the 'force'!

The Qi thrummed as he led it towards his 3rd meridian located on the forehead. It attacked the meridians wall but only a small crack appeared.

"COME!" he accidentally let out some of the Qi from the first meridian and an invisible pressure descended onto the entire field.

*Growl*

The Rams got up and formed a straight line. One behind the other, they charged forward several times faster than before.

"That's more like it!" Hao Xuan was grinning ear-to-ear and with his mangled chest and blood everywhere, he looked like a complete lunatic.

"I-Is he a masochist? Why is he doing that?"

"I think he's crazy, man. I heard some rumors that everyone in the Red Legion is crazy, that's why they have to hide their identities," whispered one person to his friend.

"Why is captain acting like that?" Aria asked worriedly. She still hadn't completed the favor Hao Xuan had given her and after looking at his appearance, she didn't much want to.

"Shhh. Just keep watching," Luke said from the side.

Hao Xuan activated Infernal Rapture once again which covered him completely. Faint black lightning sparks were encircling his entire body.

"Again!" he shouted and met the Rams head-on. This time he didn't block but one after another started punching them away. Each punch sent one of them flying until he reached the Fifth one and it blocked his punch with its horns. Then the one behind it jumped above it and bashed its head against Hao Xuan's, sending him crashing back into the wall once again.

He was using the force from the impacts to break the wall of the Third Meridian. After the most recent clash, it was almost opened. One more would do the job.

*Cough*Cough*

"Ha..haha....not bad," he said while breathing heavily. Now every single movement sent waves of pain throughout his entire body.

If he wanted to, he could have covered his body with armor from Wrath of Deimos or even Infernal rapture. There were too many ways to defend against such simple attacks but he chose not to.

Back at the farm of the Khan family, Mrs. Khan couldn't take it anymore so she along with the twins moved into another room while others kept watching.

Third was clenching his fists, as soon as it seemed like he couldn't take anymore, all of them would jump in and stop the fight.

*Huff*Huff*

".....a-again..!" Hao Xuan said while getting down from the hole in the wall.

After the last clash, three of the Rams couldn't move anymore so only five were left. They formed another line and charged towards Hao Xuan while growling loudly.

He, on the other hand, was smiling like a retard. There was blood coming out of his ears and his Hanfu was completely dyed red.

Once again he circulated the Qi, this time it seemed like it was about to burst out of his body as gurgling sounds could be heard outside as well.

"Ha....ha...no pain...no....gain....hahahaha," his eyes slightly changed from green to red. A very small thread of red was moving around his left eye.

He activated Infernal Rapture and then lifted up his right foot and with a wide smile said, "Heavenly Blare!"

*BOOOOOOOOOM*

Thunder fell and Hao Xuan vanished from his spot. The Rams that were charging at him suddenly starting exploding one by one.

From the Red Legion captains to even a couple of great generals and the common populace, everyone was flabbergasted.

They turned towards the sound only to see Hao Xuan standing in front of the last Ram in the line, using a single palm to hold it back.

There were four bloody spots behind him where some fur and other body parts could be seen, but that was it. Nothing else was left.

Hao Xuan's clothes were in shreds. There was nothing left above his waist, and whatever that was left below it was barely enough to cover up the important bits.

"Hahahaha, congratulations Ninth brother!" First who was watching from his home suddenly stood up and started laughing.

"He did it! Dinner is on me tonight!" shouted Fifth letting out a breath of relief.

Hao Xuan had finally broken through to the Origin Realm.

"My god, What technique was that at the end?"

"I don't even know what happened. Something exploded, and then everything was dead."

"Don't ask me, how would I know?"

The Colosseum was in an uproar.

Hao Xuan stood in front of the last Ram with furrowed brows. He had just broken through but something felt off.

"I'm hungry...?" he muttered while looking down at his body. The wounds were still there. There was blood leaking out from several orifices but the pain was gone again.

"I'm really hungry for some reason," he looked up and said to the Ram. The ram was not a spiritual beast and had not gained sentience, but when Hao Xuan looked at it, it got a very bad feeling.

While Hao Xuan was glancing at it, his blood felt like it was on fire. He could hear it moving through his veins, every single drop.

He closed his eyes and listened to the sound of the flowing blood and his stomach rumbled, making him feel like he hadn't eaten in days.

"Devour!" an archaic voice sounded in his head and he opened his eyes.

"I'm sorry, but it will be over quick," he said looking down at the Ram and then with the left arm lifted it up and jerked once as its head popped off like a figurine.

"Ahhhh, what is he doing?" a lady screamed seeing the blood. Everyone looked down and they were horrified.

He ripped the rams head off with one hand, and with the other lifted the rest of its body above him and started drinking its blood with eyes closed.

*Gulp*Gulp*Gulp*

Silence. There was complete silence in the Colosseum as the sound of him drinking echoed throughout.

No one spoke up, not a single person.

First who was jumping with joy a second ago was now standing with his brows furrowed, covering the eyes of Han Ming and Xin Qiye so they wouldn't see the horrible scene.

Within thirty seconds, the Ram's body was completely devoid of any blood. Hao Xuan opened his eyes and frowned. He moved the body up and down like an empty bottle but nothing else came out.

With a displeased expression he threw it away like trash and turned. The three Rams that couldn't join fight were still alive. He looked at them with sparkling eyes and with a step, appeared in front of one.

Just like before he ripped its head off like a piñata and started drinking. He did the same to the other two and then looked around, but there was nothing else left alive.

"More! Give me more, I'm.....hungry," a deep voice came out of his mouth that no one had ever heard before.

The gate opened once again and out came seven beasts that had bodies of elks and the heads of spiders. They looked absolutely disgusting.

They let out loud roars and without waiting for anything else, jumped straight at Hao Xuan.

He, on the other hand, had a smile on his face as he instantly appeared next to one of them and punched its leg.

It fell down in one fell swoop and he did the same to it as the Rams. By the time he was finished, the other beasts looked at him like a monster and started backing up.

"Come now, don't be afraid. I'm still.....hungry," he let out an intoxicating smile and one after another drank them dry.

While all this was happening, not a single person spoke up. It was dead silent.

As Hao Xuan stood atop the last beast, his eyes were closed and he seemed to have a satisfied smile on his face. He stood there for a good minute or so, remembering the flavor of each beast like it was fine wine.

"Next!" without opening his eyes he calmly spoke up and the gate opened yet again.

This time, came out Four men and two women. They had different kinds of weapons and armors. But one thing that was common between them was that they all looked extremely strong.

With their muscular bodies, it seemed like any of them would be a formidable opponent.

"Careful, the boss said to not harm him too much. He is an important figure," one of the women turned around and said to the others.

"Look ou-" several of the others abruptly shouted but it was too late. Hao Xuan was already in front of her.

Still, the woman was an experienced soldier as well, so without even turning around, she thrust her sword forward, stabbing Hao Xuan in the stomach.

"Heh, this is what you ge-" she tried to speak but a hand suddenly clasped her face, stopping her mid-sentence, and pulled.

*Fwosh*

The woman's head was ripped right off her body. He threw it away and lifted the body to drink her blood, like all the previous times.

The other five warriors were utterly petrified. One of them bent over and started vomiting. While another screamed and ran back to the gate and started clawing at it, shouting for people to be let out.

"S-STOP! YOU FUCKING MONSTER!!!" a man shouted when he woke up from his daze and ran towards Hao Xuan with his spear aimed at his head.

Hao Xuan didn't even turn around to look at the man. Instead, he lifted up his free hand waved it once.

With a whooshing sound, the man's head simply exploded like a balloon, and like a can of coke being opened blood spurted out like a fountain.

"H-Help! She fainted!" from the seats came hundreds of shouts at once as people started passing out one after another looking at the bloody scene.
