"I'm just going to greet them," whispered Li Bingbing to Lu Xian Yu.

Lu Xian Yu's eyes darkened when he saw Xia Sinian. "You can greet him later." He held her hand and pulled her toward their table.

Li Bingbing badly wanted to go the Xia family table though she gave in to Lu Xian Yu since she didn't want to make a scene.

Xia Sinian saw Li Bingbing sitting on the same table as Lu Xian Yu but he never questioned their relations.h.i.+p since at that moment, it wasn't obvious that they were close.

Li Bingbing had her arms crossed and she looked like she was in a bad mood while Lu Xian Yu was talking with his brother.

Shortly after, Little Melon and his mother arrived. Since it wasn't a formal party, everyone was wearing casual clothes. Only Little Melon was wearing an all-white tuxedo to standout since he was the birthday boy.

Lu Yifeng stood from his seat and went in front of the cake.

Xia Meilin couldn't help but smile when she saw Lu Yifeng in front of a four-story cake. She was happy that he fulfilled his promise to attend their son's birthday.

Everyone in the room was quiet, all eyes were at the blindfolded little boy who was being guided by his mother.

They finally came into a stop when they were in the middle.

Xia Meilin scooped Little Melon up in her arms before she whispered in his ear, "You can take off the blindfold now, baby."

Little Melon excited removed his blindfold and opened his eyes. His eyes were still adjusting to the bright light when...

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELLO!!!" Everyone greeted at the same time the moment he opened his eyes.

Seeing everyone he knew greeting him, especially his father, Little Melon's eyes become teary. He refused to cry in front of so many so he tried his best to hold back his tears. He turned away and buried his face in his mother's neck.

"Oh dear." Xia Meilin smiled, she gently rubbed his back as she walked towards her husband. "Didn't I told you that your dad will definitely come?"

Little Melon nodded his head while he was still burying his face in her neck.

"Mello's being shy!" One of the children said out loud, making others chuckled at this.

"Come here, son."

Hearing his father's voice, he finally leaned back and turned to him. He reached out to his father.

Lu Yifeng carried him and faced the cake. The cake was custom made. It has a Puss in Boots cake topper on it and beside it was a candle.

"This is the best birthday party ever!"

"Hurry Mello! Blow your candle!"

"Yeah! So that we can go around and see the fishes!"

"I want to see the dolphins!"

"We should sing the birthday song first to Mello!"

"Let's sing it fast then!"

Hearing his friends' remarks made Little Melon turn to them. "There are dolphins here?"

"Yeah!" Most of the children quickly exclaimed.

Little Melon's eyes sparkled. He has only seen dolphins in his picture books. He turned to his father. "Hurry up, dada! Sing me the song! Mello wants to go see the dolphins!"

The grown-ups started laughing after hearing their children's words.

Well, they were entertaining the children and it was a kiddie birthday party for Little Melon so they are expected to have fun.

"I guess the food and gifts can wait." Xia Meilin laughed lightly.

"Okay, everyone. Let's sing the birthday song for Mello so that he can blow his candle! I can't wait to see the sharks!" Li Bingbing exclaimed with a grin on her lips.

"Yeah!" The children cheered at the same time. They were all excited to go around.

With that, everyone started singing the birthday song for Little Melon.

Lu Xian Yu was the only one in Lu Yifeng's side who was there. Jing Yue and their grandfather haven't arrived yet.

After singing the birthday song, Little Melon leaned toward his cake while he was being carried by his father. "I wish..." He closed his eyes and mumbled his wish, "Mello can have a baby sister or baby brother soon."

Lu Yifeng and Xia Meilin eyed each other when they heard what Little Melon wished for.

Xia Meilin turned away with a blush on her cheeks. She suddenly felt shy when her eyes met Lu Yifeng's eyes earlier.

A small smile appeared on Lu Yifeng's lips, he didn't say a thing about it. He turned to his son and watched him blow the fire from the candles.

Everyone clapped happily after he blew the candle.

Little Melon was smiling from ears to ears when he turned to his parents, "Can we go see the dolphins now?"

Xia Meilin nodded, "Of course."

Little Melon was placed on the ground and he held his parent's hands as they walked. "Let's go, everyone!" Little Melon exclaimed excitedly.

"Ah, the children have so much energy." Ji Ruo sighed. "I will just stay here and wait for my great grandson's return." Ji Ruo said as she sat down on the chair.

"You're already getting old, grandma." Xia Sinian chuckled.

"You little rascal, why don't you go find yourself a wife and give me another grandchild too?" Ji Ruo crossed her arms.

Xia Jiamu nodded, "Too much work is not healthy."

Xia Sinian was about to answer them when someone suddenly interrupted them.

"Don't worry, grandma, grandpa. I'll make sure that Sinian here will get himself a wife and a child."

Xia Sinian turned to Li Bingbing, his expression became cold. He knew that by her question, she was trying o figure out the truth from his grandparents.
