"You have a perfect candidate for a new father?" Xia Meilin asked through the video call.

Li Bingbing nodded happily, "I've looked through all the information about him and he is known to be a stoic person by others but he's actually a nice man. Besides, he's my mother's best friend and he's single! What if he waited for my mother all this time? Isn't that so romantic? Having a loyal man like him is the best husband for my sweet mother!"

Other than that, Li Bingbing was actually excited to have him as her father since s.h.i.+ Fen was an interesting person.

"What if you're wrong about him?" Xia Meilin couldn't help but ask.

"Ha! Then he better be ready for the consequences of cheating us."

To be honest, Li Bingbing was tired of pus.h.i.+ng away possible candidates for her father's spot. Aside from wanting her mother happy, Li Bingbing wanted to have a father.

Li Hua may be asking for a second chance but after betraying them, Li Bingbing had a hard time seeing him as a father again.

"But it would be nice if he really was the one for your mother." Xia Sinian said through the video call.

"How about Mr. Li Hua? What if he really was sincere?" Xia Meilin asked.

"Then he's too late for that. He already has another family. Does he think that mom and I would get along with his new family? No way! Does he want to have both? Ha! That greedy b.a.s.t.a.r.d can only dream of it! Mom has sacrificed so much for him and he has wasted his chance so he can't just fix everything with a 'sorry' and 'let's start anew'."

Li Bingbing's trust to him was already broken and she can't fix it back that easily.

"What plan do you have for him then?"

"If he attacks, then I would do the same. For now, I will just stay low from Li Hua and let him do whatever he wants as long as it's not hurting mom."

It was finally the day of Li Bingbing and Xia Meilin's graduation day, Xia Sinian attended the graduation ceremony with his grandparents while Li Bingbing's mother came with s.h.i.+ Fen.

Li Hua was the one who was supposed to put the medals on Li Bingbing but since there was an emergency meeting on his side, he wasn't able to attend.

In the end, it was Mu Xijiu who did it.

Li Hua was only able to arrive when everything ended.

"Bingbing, I'm so sorry for coming late. Something came up and-"

"It's okay, Mr. Li." Li Bingbing said with a small smile. "You're a busy person, I understand."

Besides, it only meant that she wasn't that important to him that was why he chose his work over her. This was the same case with Li Hua back then. He would always choose something else than his family. He may not realize it but Li Bingbing already expected something like this that was why she wasn't willing to have him back.

She even compared Li Hua to s.h.i.+ Fen, despite s.h.i.+ Fen being busy when Li Bingbing invited him last night through call, she heard him cancel his appointments for her and because of that, Li Bingbing couldn't help but be touched with it.

Shouldn't fathers be this way? Shouldn't they prioritize their family first?

s.h.i.+ Fen wasn't her father but he was already acting like one for the past month.

Li Hua noticed s.h.i.+ Fen standing beside Mu Xijiu and by the look of it, it seemed like they were closer than the last time he saw them together.

Why was he here? It was his daughter's graduation, he doesn't have the right to be there since he wasn't even a family.

But that wasn't the important thing right now, if he didn't have Li Bingbing's approval then he couldn't get to Mu Xijiu that was why Li Hua needed to convince his daughter first.

He took out a rectangle box, wrapped with a ribbon from his coat before he handed it to Li Bingbing, "Here, congratulations on graduating high school, Bingbing."

"This is?"

Li Hua smiled, "You'll know if you open it."

Without further ado, Li Bingbing unwrapped the ribbon then opened it. Inside was a white flash drive.

"I heard that you love that anime character Sei, that's why I decided to make a program of him for you."

"..." Li Bingbing didn't know how to respond. She may be disappointed with Li Hua but giving her something like this made her excited.

Li Bingbing tried to stay calm as much as possible as she turned to him with a smile, "Thank you, Mr. Li."

"Bingbing, sweetheart, why don't you and your family join us for dinner?" Ji Ruo, Xia Sinian and Xia Meilin's grandmother offered as she walked toward them.

Li Bingbing looked at the two cars parking in front of her, one was a matte black Audi and the other was a white Maybach car.

s.h.i.+ Fen patted Li Bingbing's head as he looked at her. His eyes were telling her that it was okay if she rides with Li Hua.

The small and sweet gesture that s.h.i.+ Fen did make Li Hua clenched his fists tight under his pockets. Everything that s.h.i.+ Fen was doing made Li Hua irritated.

Li Bingbing's chest warmed up when she saw s.h.i.+ Fen's gentle look. She smiled at him without saying a word before she turned to Li Hua, "Let's go."

Mu Xijiu felt touched when she saw that s.h.i.+ Fen was willing to adjust and because of this, it made her fall more for him. In the past month, Mu Xijiu was already opening up for him since he would always come to visit her and did many kind acts to her.

"Grandma, can I go with Bingbing?" Xia Sinian asked Ji Ruo with a smile.

Li Bingbing turned to Xia Sinian and Xia Meilin. Li Bingbing wanted to go with Xia Sinian but she didn't want to leave her mother alone with Li Hua that was why she was happy when he offered this.

"Sure, sure, we're going toward the same place anyway." Ji Ruo chuckled. Besides, she wanted to lessen the tension in Bingbing's side and hopefully, Xia Sinian's presence would do that.

"I want to come too!" Xia Meilin said with a pout as she clung on Xia Sinian's arm, "Today, I'm going wherever my ge ge is."

Xia Jiamu chuckled, "You're leaving us alone?"

"Grandpa, you have grandma and Mr. Cheng in the car so you're not going to be alone." Xia Meilin said.

Ji Ruo chuckled, "Let the kids be, sweetheart."

And so, Mu Xijiu, Li Bingbing, Xia Meilin and Xia Sinian rode Li Hua's car on the way to Red Star restaurant.
