Back then, when Li Bingbing was still young, they would visit one as a family twice a month and if Li Bingbing was, to be honest about it, it was one of the best memories she had during her childhood days.

"Fine, I'll go with you." Li Bingbing sighed in defeat.

"Great!"

After paying the stuff they bought in the cas.h.i.+er, Li Bingbing was the one who carried most of the plastic bags as they head home.

Soon after their dinner was prepared, the two started eating.

Mu Xijiu was trying to think of a way to bring up Li Hua to Li Bingbing without her walking out of the room.

"Bingbing dear, your graduation is coming up, where do you want to study?" Mu Xijiu asked as she paused from eating.

"Same as Sisi, I want to study at Imperial University." Li Bingbing grinned happily. "I'm planning to move to his apartment, it's nearby the school."

Imperial University was one of the best school in their country and it wasn't easy to get in it but if it was Li Bingbing, Mu Xijiu was confident enough that Li Bingbing would easily top the entrance exam.

"What course do you plan on taking?"

Li Bingbing smiled at her, "I plan on taking computer science."

"Like your father?"

The smile one Li Bingbing's face disappeared at the mention of Li Hua.

Mu Xijiu noticed this that was why she decided to continue, "Dreamstar company is the biggest internet company. Even though it was just created three years ago, the company has reached a great height already. It has the best technologies, good management and a good platform for aspiring programmer like yourself, you can have your interns.h.i.+p the-"

"Why are you suddenly saying this? Did Li Hua tell you something?" Li Bingbing asked with narrowed eyes, she was sharp enough to notice that her mother was up to something.

"I met him earlier. Don't get me wrong, it's not because I love him, okay? I just wanted to hear what he has in mind." Mu Xijiu said as she carefully looked at the expression on Li Bingbing's face.

Li Bingbing's face was void of emotions and Mu Xijiu couldn't help but get worried since she didn't know what kind of thoughts were in Li Bingbing's mind.

Since Li Bingbing was almost done in eating, she was about to stand up that's why Mu Xijiu hurriedly said, "Please hear me out first."

Li Bingbing looked at her mother with a helpless expression on her face. Even if she hated Li Hua, whenever it came to her mother, Li Bingbing was willing to sit down and listen. "Okay, just make it fast."

Mu Xijiu sighed in relief, "Bingbing, no matter what happened between us and your father, that is now in the past. Li Hua wanted to start anew and be a proper father to you."

Li Bingbing narrowed her eyes when she heard her mother's words, "You're letting him in our lives just like that? Have you forgotten what he did to us? You're being too soft to him, mom!"

"Soft or not, I think this is for the better. Of course, I won't be accepting him as my husband. I'm already tired of making him choose me." Mu Xijiu smiled half-heartedly. "But that doesn't mean that he cannot be a father to you. You're his daughter and every parent would want their child to have an easy and happy life. He is not asking you to move to his place but he wanted you to give him a chance to be a father to you again."

Li Bingbing scoffed, "That's a very hard thing to do, mom."

"But it's not impossible." Mu Xijiu smiled a bit, "To be honest, I'm also a bit hesitant in this but we won't know what will happen until we decide to take a step forward, right?"

Li Bingbing couldn't help but be amazed at how softhearted her mother was. Although Li Bingbing was unsure of what Li Hua was planning she couldn't help but doubt him. What was he scheming?

Li Hua may be able to deceive Mu Xijiu but it would be harder for him to deceive Li Bingbing. No matter what Li Hua was planning, Li Bingbing wasn't going to allow him to win.

"So what do you want me to do?" Li Bingbing crossed her arms.

If it was for her mother, Li Bingbing was willing to stay low. She wasn't going to let Li Hua have his way, she will make sure that she will definitely show Mu Xijiu that her father was beyond saving.

"Just give him a chance, don't be too hard to him when he appears in front of you."

Mu Xijiu felt so nervous when she didn't hear any reply from Li Bingbing. If she said no then Mu Xijiu can't really force her into it.

Li Bingbing let out a sigh in defeat. "Fine."

Did he want to start anew? Ha! She will make him show his true colors to her mother.

Mu Xijiu heaved out a sigh in relief, she was glad that Li Bingbing didn't have any violent reaction. "Well then, now that this matter is solved, you can now go and wash the dishes."

Li Bingbing pouted, "Me?"

"Sweetheart, I'm the one who prepared our dinner, it's your job to wash the dishes tonight." Mu Xijiu smiled.

Li Bingbing puffed out her cheeks as she stared at her mother in disbelief. She was the one who would always clean the house and yet here her mother was, ordering her around when the only thing she sometimes does is to cook.

She decided to collect the dishes without arguing with Mu Xijiu since Li Bingbing wanted to go to her room so that she can have a video chat with Xia Sinian.

After was.h.i.+ng the dishes, Li Bingbing went to take a shower before she hopped on her bed. She took her phone and started to video call Xia Sinian.

It took a few minutes before the call went through.

On her screen, she saw Xia Sinian lying down on his bed and his hair was messy. He had a sleepy look on his face as he stared at her through the screen, "Please don't call this late..."

"Ah... you're supposed to be still awake at this time."

"It's weekend tomorrow."

"The more reason why you have to stay late."

Li Bingbing chuckled, "I'm kidding. You've been staying late for the previous days so you should go back to sleep."
