With the way Xia Meilin called her, Li Bingbing knew that she was in for an interrogation.

She turned to the twins and smiled, "See you later, boys."

The twin brothers were left with each other as they watched their women walk away.

"What can you say about my new girl, bro?" Lu Xian Yu turned to him and grinned. He had always wanted to tell him about Li Bingbing in person but because of Lu Yifeng's schedule, it was hard to get a hold of him... except if he asked Xia Meilin instead.

The coldness in Lu Yifeng's eyes returned when Lu Xian Yu asked him that. "I suggest you stay away from her."

Li Bingbing was too dangerous for Lu Xian Yu. Based on his previous life, it was Li Bingbing who tracked Lu Xian Yu and got him killed. If it weren't for her then Lu Xian Yu would have never been hunted like a dog by his enemies.

It was actually supposed to be Lu Yifeng who should have been hunted but Li Bingbing wanted to make him suffer by taking away the people he cared for that's why she went for his family instead. She was willing to go through great heights just for helping Xia Sinian get his revenge on the Lu family for killing his sister.

Lu Xian Yu raised an eyebrow at his statement, "You know her?"

Lu Yifeng didn't give him an answer. He has never told anyone about his past life and he wasn't planning on letting anyone know about it.

"Tell me, brother, why should I stay away from her?" Lu Xian Yu insisted on asking him. He wouldn't be able to rest well if Lu Yifeng wouldn't tell him about what he knew about Li Bingbing.

Meanwhile, Xia Meilin and Li Bingbing went away from the crowd towards the balcony.

"Explain." Xia Meilin said the moment they reached the balcony.

With this one word, Li Bingbing sighed. She wasn't really planning on keeping her relations.h.i.+p with Lu Xian Yu but for some reason, Xia Meilin was making her feel guilty about it. "That night, he knocked on my door. I kicked him and he got his revenge a few days later. Since he had the upper hand at that time, I asked for a truce. We ended up becoming friends."

Li Bingbing wasn't the type to give others a long explanation so she went straight to the point, leaving the details out.

"Then what was that kiss earlier?" Xia Meilin didn't doubt her even one bit since she knew that Li Bingbing had no reason to keep it from her. "Friends do not act so intimately with each other."

"Yes, they do." Li Bingbing took a sip from her gla.s.s of wine before answering, "I'm getting the benefit of being his friend. He helps me quench my womanly needs and he cooks for me. In return, I provide a safe place for him to stay. Besides, he's really great in bed so it's a win-win situation for both of us."

Xia Meilin knitted her brows together with what she heard. Li Bingbing was sleeping around with Lu Xian Yu? "He's a dangerous man, Bingbing. He has slept with countless girls!"

She chuckled, "You think I don't know that?"

Xia Meilin pursed her lips. She was only worried about her best friend's safety and feelings. What if she ended up falling for him? It would definitely leave Li Bingbing's heartbroken.

"Don't worry, he's clean." She leaned against the terrace and smiled at her. "He can sleep with any girl he wants, I can even watch if he wants me to. I would never fall for him, Meimei. He's not my type. I have only one man in my heart."

Xia Meilin went and stood beside her. "Do you... still love him?"

Li Bingbing looked at her gla.s.s of wine, the sadness in her eyes clearly visible when Xia Meilin asked this. "I can't help it. He's still single after we broke up. He has never dated other women... but that doesn't mean that he doesn't sleep around with them, right?" She chuckled a bit. "I don't blame him if he sleeps around... he will be the only man that I'll accept no matter what."

Her strong and fearless face became gentle. "You know how I tried to forget him. I tried to date other men but... I ended breaking up with them because I couldn't forget him."

Xia Meilin turned and looked at the celebration inside. She saw Lu Xian Yu was surrounded by girls and by the looks of it, he was flirting with them.

"So you're using him as a distraction?"

"No. I will use him to make my hubby realize that I'm worth more than his work!" She smirked. "How dare he replace me with his work?!"

"You're playing with fire, Bingbing." Xia Meilin sighed.

Li Bingbing turned to her with a playful smile on her face. "Don't worry, I have a fire extinguisher with me."

Xia Meilin could only shake her head while chuckling. "You're crazy."

She admired Li Bingbing for being so brave but sometimes, she can't help but worry since it could be dangerous for her, especially now, as she was using a dangerous man like Lu Xian Yu.
