While Li Bingbing watched her family play baseball in their yard, she suddenly felt something unusual and that was when it hit her that her water broke.

"OH s.h.i.+T!!! s.h.i.+T!!!" She looked at Lu Xian Yu in panic.

"LU XIAN YU! GET THE h.e.l.l HERE!!" She shouted.

Lu Xian Yu was about to throw the ball but he paused after hearing his wife's shout. He looked at her in confusion.

"The baby's coming! Argh…" She suddenly felt a sharp pain. She leaned against her seat and inhaled deeply, "s.h.i.+t! s.h.i.+t! s.h.i.+t! You're supposed to come out next week!"

Lu Xian Yu rushed to her side when he saw her pained expression. When he realized what was happening, he carried Li Bingbing in her arms and rushed to the garage.

"Watch over the kids!" He shouted to Shen Juan.

"What's happening?" Qinqing asked worriedly.

"Your mother is about to give birth. Your brother is coming."

A loud gasp was heard from Mengmeng, "I want to go with mama and daddy!"

Although by the time she said that, Lu Xian Yu had already driven off in a hurry, bringing Li Bingbing to the hospital.

Qinqing tugged on Shen Juan's s.h.i.+rt, "Uncle Shen Juan, we want to go."

In the end, Shen Juan decided to bring the two to the hospital.

Li Bingbing had a complication in giving birth that was why she had a c-section instead.

Lu Xian Yu and his children were nervous and worried about Li Bingbing and her baby's safety. It took hours before the doctors were able to take the baby out.

Loud cries filled the room and the baby boy was handed to the nurse to be cleansed.

The red light on top of the emergency room's door finally turned off and Lu Xian Yu saw the doctor went out.

"Doctor, how is she? How are my wife and my son?" Lu Xian Yu was so eager to know about how the operation went.

"Your wife is out of danger, but because of the complications while doing the surgery. Her fallopian tubes have been damaged that's why she won't be able to give birth in the future."

Li Bingbing won't be able to give birth anymore? Although it was sad news but what mattered to Lu Xian Yu was that she is alive and the baby she carried is fine.

"Mama is fine, right?" Mengmeng worriedly asked the doctor. She may not understand most of what he said but she could understand that her mother went in trouble while giving birth to her sibling.

The doctor smiled at her, "Yes, she is. You have a healthy brother and your mother is being taken to a private room to rest."

Lu Xian Yu's tensed shoulders finally relaxed, "That's good… good."

"Can we see our baby brother?" Qinqing asked the doctor, looking so excited about it.

"Yes. Your brother has been transferred to the NICU so you can see him there," smiled the doctor.

As they stood before the gla.s.s window, they saw a few babies in the NICU. They were only able to identify their baby brother because of the 'baby boy Lu' written on his crib.

The baby was now calmly sleeping inside. The baby was absurdly beautiful. He looked so soft and delicate like a glutinous rice ball. His cheeks were tender and had a pinkish flush on them, tempting those who saw it give him a pinch and kiss. How vulnerable, how awe-inspiring.

"He's so cute!" Mengmeng exclaimed in delight. 

Qinqing nodded in agreement, a sweet smile on his lips. "I'm a big brother now."

He didn't mind not being the youngest anymore. He was more excited to learn that he wouldn't be one. That means his parents won't baby him anymore and they'll see him properly and take him seriously as an adult!

Lu Xian Yu's eyes became glossy. Tears of relief and joy filled his eyes.

Qinqing turned to his father, "Daddy, why is his name 'baby boy Lu'?"

Lu Xian Yu wiped the tears that formed on the side of his eyes before he turned to Qinqing with a smile, "That's because we haven't given them his name yet."

"Oh! I want to name him, daddy!" Mengmeng's eyes glittered.

"I want to name him too…" Qinqing said softly.

The two kids looked at each other as if they were about to start their first fight.

Lu Xian Yu and Li Bingbing actually have a name prepared for their son. Lu Xian Yu was hesitant whether or not tell that to his children.

What should he say? The smiles on their faces disappeared and they were looking so serious at each other. He didn't want them to fight at all.

"Rock! Paper! Scissors!"

Lu Xian Yu: "..."

"Yey! I won!" Qinqing happily jumped.

Mengmeng pouted, "Fine, it's your win…"

"Alright, what name would you give your brother?" If it was going to be something inappropriate, Lu Xian Yu would try to convince to change it Qinqing by suggesting the name he decided with Li Bingbing.

"Jinnian!" Qinqing grinned at them. "I want to name my little brother Lu Jinnian!"

Lu Xian Yu smiled at him. Since it was a decent name, then he didn't mind allowing him with it. He would just talk to Li Bingbing about it once she wakes up.

"Alright, his name is going to be Lu Jinnian."
