"Something to teach your mother a lesson."

Li Bingbing scoffed, not really taking Lu Xian Yu's words seriously. She knew that it was wrong to let her mouth run while she was in the presence of her children, it's not like she would do it again.

Qinqing blinked a few times, "What lesson?"

He went and patted his head, "It's not for kids." He turned to Mengmeng, "Go now, Mengmeng, you should wash your mouth."

"But I have already brushed my teeth, daddy," pouted Mengmeng.

"You're overreacting, Xian Yu." Li Bingbing crossed her arms.

"Could it be that... those are bad words?!" A loud gasp was suddenly heard from Mengmeng.

Lu Xian Yu nodded at her words, "Yes, they are bad words so you shouldn't be saying them."

Mengmeng turned to her mother, "If Papa learned this, he will also get angry to mama!"

A glint of sadness flashed on Li Bingbing's eyes. If Xia Sinian was there, he would really give her one good scolding. He would probably be mad like how Lu Xian Yu was at that moment.

Lu Xian Yu noticed the change in Li Bingbing's eyes at the mention of Xia Sinian, it was always like that. He knew that she was trying not to show to others that she was still grieving inside.

"Qinqing, Mengmeng, I have to tell you something," said Lu Xian Yu upon remembering what Li Bingbing said earlier.

He went and sat at the edge of the bed. He looked at Li Bingbing and she gave him a nod as if telling him that he should continue.

He started by asking, "Do you know what the word 'dead' means?"

Mengmeng raised her hand, "I know! It means that someone that is no more living."

"Yes, it's like that." He smiled a bit, "There are people who die because of oldness and there are people who die because of sickness or an accident. No matter what kind of reason it is, there will be a day where death will visit every one of us, the only difference is time. No one knows when their time is up."

"So everyone will die but in different time?" Asked Qinqing.

"Yes."

"But where do dead people go?"

Li Bingbing stroked her head, "It depends on what kind of person they are. If they are a bad person, they will go to h.e.l.l where they will be tortured and punish."

"That's scary!" exclaimed Qinqing.

"But what about good people?" Mengmeng asked curiously.

"They go to heaven, it is a beautiful and peaceful place," answered Lu Xian Yu.

Mengmeng and Qinqing frowned when they heard what Lu Xian Yu said.

"Heaven?" Mengmeng pursed her lips, "Papa is in heaven..."

"You both know that there was a time where your father was sick, right? He didn't get well that was why he fell into a deep slumber and never woke up... that is because, at that time, he died."

Mengmeng and Qinqing looked at each other before they turned their heads to Lu Xian Yu.

"Dead people don't come back..." Mengmeng eyes started to become misty.

"Papa's... not coming back?"

The two children were able to understand what Lu Xian Yu was trying to tell them and thinking that Xia Sinian was not coming back, it broke their hearts.

"You may not see him, but he's here with us." He patted their chest lightly, "He's living here, inside your hearts."

"Can dada see papa?" Sniffed Qinqing.

Lu Xian Yu smiled a bit as he honestly answered, "No, I can't see him."

"Then how does daddy know that Papa is here?"

"It's because he promised that he will always be there for you. He always fulfills his promises, right? That is why it doesn't matter if you can't see him, he's your guardian angel. You may not understand it that much right now, but you will when you grow up."

Li Bingbing quietly watched as Lu Xian Yu comforted the kids. She knew that he would able to manage the situation, he was always like that. He was a mature man who was patiently there for the people he loves.

She could see that the care he has for the children were genuine, especially to Qinqing. He treated her son equally with his daughter, his attention was equally divided to them.

She somehow found that part of him similar to Xia Sinian. They both accepted the kid that wasn't theirs.

Although she hasn't cheated, she still felt guilty, she has children from two men. If it were in the eyes of others, it may be a bad thing but, she never expected to get pregnant with the man she hanged out with back then.

She was already pregnant before she reconciled with Xia Sinian. If only she knew it back then, she might have already aborted Lu Xian Yu's child without a second thought but now that she was watching Mengmeng in front of her, she was glad that she didn't.

She leaned and gave her crying children a hug. She loved them both and she was willing to do anything to protect them if someone dared to try to hurt them.

While hugging the kids, she looked at Lu Xian Yu with a small smile. "Thank you..." She said in a whispering tone.
