It wasn't long before Lu Xian Yu reached Switzerland. He followed the address that Shen Juan sent him and upon reaching the hospital, he was contemplating whether he should show himself up or not.

He badly wanted to meet his daughter and to see Li Bingbing but at the same time, he thought about Xia Sinian's condition. He called him from the hospital last night, right? Did that mean that his condition was getting worse?

"Mama, why are we leaving papa here?"

Lu Xian Yu turned when he heard the familiar voice of a kid. He ended up seeing Lu Mengjie who was holding Li Bingbing's hand.

Li Bingbing was carrying her son on her other arm and just by looking at her, he could see how tired and stressed she looked but she still forced out a smile for her child, "We're going to visit him tomorrow. He just has to stay here so that he'll get well soon?"

When Lu Xian Yu saw them, by reflex, he quickly hid behind a pillar. Why was he suddenly feeling nervous? Why was he hesitant in showing himself to them?

"Papa is sick?" Lu Mengjie asked as she walked out with her mother and brother.

"Mm, don't worry, your papa is strong."

"Yup! Papa will surely get well soon!"

Lu Xian Yu watched the three leave the hospital without showing himself to them. He followed the three, wanting to make sure that they would get home safe. After that, he went back to the hospital and asked for Xia Sinian's room number from the counter.

Upon arriving at his room, he saw him on the bed, sleeping.

He quietly went in and approached him. He sat on the chair beside his bed.

Xia Sinian was a light sleeper so when he felt someone staring at him, he opened his eyes and turned to his visitor. His eyes went wide in surprise when he saw Lu Xian Yu.

Lu Xian Yu crossed his legs and smiled at him, "Hey."

"What... are you doing here?"

"Isn't it obvious? I'm visiting you."

Xia Sinian sighed, "You're here because of Mengmeng and Bingbing, right?"

"Yeah, but don't worry, I won't be taking them yet." He could see how happy Lu Mengjie was with Xia Sinian. Even if Xia Sinian was the one who replaced him in Lu Mengjie's side, Lu Xian Yu wasn't that cruel to take her away while Xia Sinian was still living. He knew best that if he took her away, she would just end up hating him.

"I'm surprised that you're still this persistent to have her." Xia Sinian said, closing his eyes.

Lu Xian Yu rested his back against his seat, "I told you, I love her so much. Besides, how could I leave her now that I found out we have a daughter."

"Are you going to stay here until my funeral day?" Asked Xia Sinian with a bitter smile on his lips.

"Yes." He crossed his arms, he looked seriously at him, "You better live until my daughter's birthday."

Lu Xian Yu could see how Lu Mengjie was looking forward to spending her birthday with Xia Sinian. Even if it was hard for him, he was willing to have it done.

Xia Sinian didn't promise anything but he prayed that he could live long to spend his children's birthday one last time.

"Say, Sinian... tell me about my daughter."

"Huh?" Xia Sinian looked at him in confusion.

Lu Xian Yu's face was gentle as he said, "Her likes and dislikes, I want to know everything about her. You could tell me things about your son as well. You have taken care of Bibi and my daughter for years, I want to repay that by taking care of your son."

Xia Sinian felt a p.r.i.c.k in his heart when he heard Lu Xian Yu's words. It was a hard thing for him to leave his family even if he knew that someone like Lu Xian Yu would take care of them.

"Mengmeng... she likes cute stuff, especially puppies..." He took a deep breath before he continued, "... Qinqing on the other hand, he... loves playing with cars..." He covered his misty eyes with his hand. He tried his best not to cry as he recalled his time with his children.

He loved them very much and thinking that he wouldn't be able to see them grow broke his heart. All these years, he gave all his love to them as any good father would do.

"Xian Yu, promise me that you'll take good care of them. I know that Mengjie is your daughter but, I really hope that... you can love them equally..." Xia Sinian paused before he looked at him with his red and tearful eyes, "Lu Xian Yu, please don't make them forget me."
