Xia Sinian went down from his spot, the place he was hiding earlier. He was the one who shot the men, aside from that, one of Lu Yifeng's bodyguard was there to help him.

When he entered, he saw Lu Xian Yu hugging Li Bingbing. He clenched his fists as he saw this.

Lu Yifeng left the place in a hurry to get Little Melon to the hospital. Even if he wanted to torture Huang Xiubo to death and make him experience h.e.l.l on earth, Lu Yifeng didn't do a thing. Little Melon was his priority and he couldn't allow him to be in a place full of dead bodies any longer.

Seeing that his men are dead, Huang Xiubo refused to accept defeat. He would not allow Lu Xian Yu to live! He crawled and grabbed the gun that was nearby. He will make him suffer!

When Li Bingbing leaned back, she saw Xia Sinian standing by the entrance of the warehouse. Lu Xian Yu noticed that Li Bingbing was looking somewhere else and when he turned, he saw Xia Sinian.

He felt a terrible pain in his heart. Every time that Xia Sinian would appear, Li Bingbing would always forget him in an instant,

She stood up and was about to run towards Xia Sinian but Lu Xian Yu noticed Huang Xiubo sly move from his peripheral view.

A 'bang' resounded the place and everyone was surprised by this. Seeing that Huang Xiubo was still alive, Xia Sinian used his sniper rifle to shoot him down.

Li Bingbing turned and saw Lu Xian Yu's back. He turned and smiled at her as blood dripped off from the side of his lips. His sight became blurry and everything went dark, he fell on the ground.

"Lu Xian Yu!" She quickly went to his side.

Xia Sinian hurriedly went towards them, "We need to bring him to the hospital! He's losing too much blood!"

Xia Meilin and her grandparents entered a private room in the hospital and saw Little Melon on the bed with Lu Yifeng lying down beside him. He curled close to his father since it made him feel safe and secure.

Lu Yifeng looked at them and placed a finger on his lips as if telling them to be quiet since Little Melon was sleeping.

Ji Ruo and Xia Jiamu looked at each other and nodded. Xia Jiamu turned to Xia Meilin. "We will just go and check on Li Bingbing."

"Okay." After that, she hurriedly went to Little Melon's side. She bursts out in tears when she saw her son's sleeping face. When she received the message earlier, she wanted to go and fly to Little Melon and Li Bingbing's side to save them but because she was pregnant, Lu Yifeng didn't allow her. Instead, he brought Xia Sinian with him.

"I... Is he okay?" Xia Meilin tried to lower her voice as much as possible when she asked this.

"Mm. He will be fine." He whispered back. "So don't cry."

"I-I'm sorry." She quickly wiped her tears away before she reached out and gently stroked Little Melon's hair. "My baby..."

"Come, lie down with us."

Since the bed was a bit big, there was enough s.p.a.ce for them. Xia Meilin went and lied down on the other side of Little Melon.

Meanwhile, Lu Xian Yu was taken to the emergency room and his surgery took a while. Li Bingbing couldn't help but get worried. The scene of him smiling at her with blood dripping down the side of his lips kept on replaying in her mind.

He saved her... he took a shot for her. Li Bingbing's heart trembled when she thought of that.

Xia Sinian brought a new set of clothes for Li Bingbing and by the time she finished changing her clothes, Lu Xian Yu was already transferred in the private ICU room.

Li Bingbing visited him with Xia Sinian. Although, Lu Xian Yu was still unconscious.

Li Bingbing turned to Xia Sinian.

Before she can say a thing, Xia Sinian asked, "Do you want to stay and watch over him tonight?"

Li Bingbing pursed her lips, she shook her head. "I... I'll visit him tomorrow. Let's go home..."

Xia Sinian didn't say anything, instead, he quietly went out with Li Bingbing.

In the middle of the night, Little Melon woke up because of the nightmare. He started crying out loud because of this. "Momma!"

His cries woke Xia Meilin and Lu Yifeng up.

Xia Meilin held him in her arms. "Mommy's here. Mommy's here, baby."

"Momma..." When Little Melon saw his mother, he calmed down and went back to sleep. He easily fell asleep because of his heavy eyes and weak body.

Xia Meilin turned to Lu Yifeng, "Yifeng... will he be alright?"

She didn't know what happened but she still couldn't help but get worried that this will traumatize her son.

"Don't worry, Meilin, our son will be alright." He gently touched her cheek. "Go back to sleep."

She nodded before she turned to Little Melon and kissed his head. "Mommy and daddy are here, baby." She whispered softly before she closed her eyes and slept.
