1 Prologue

They are ravaging at the corpse of the person or animals they killed by ripping off the flesh of their victims. The soldiers defended their kingdoms with their lives against the attacks. Others have fallen but not all suffered.

This is the story of Stephen's mother always tell during bedtime before he fell asleep. About the horror of the past that their grandfathers never forget.

The Mages, Lycans, Druids, Necromancers, Knights, a.s.sa.s.sins, Rangers, Paladins, Ronins, and Fighters take refuge in Almaria kingdom, as well as the commoners and the n.o.bles.

The Peacetime is nearing its end because there are undead sightings at the borders and the knights are a.s.signed to patrol at the kingdoms' vicinity to eradicate them.

Meanwhile at Stephen's house

"Good morning Stephen Burg!"

Her mom said to him when he woke up early in the morning.

"You need to prepare for school!", her mom said

"Yes Mom!", he replied as he hurriedly climbs down the stairs.

He then takes a bath beside the well of our house. He felt the chill of the icy water that early morning. After he takes a bath, he went inside and wipe himself with a towel then takes his clothes on. He has a mini-training ground built by his father for him to train at the backyard.

He stretches first followed by push-ups, sit-ups, jog, and weighted punches with weights in his arms.

Then he executed one thousand random slashes on the training dummy followed by sideways side jumps.

With these pieces of training made by his father, he became a confident person.

Not to mention his skills to adapt faster and learn faster among his generation since in elementary.

After his daily training, he healed himself with a skill taught by his father (a mixed cla.s.s holder)-Douglas Burg.

He healed himself as he said "[Minor Heal]"

[Minor Heal] - a skill used to heal minor injuries especially fatigue and torn muscles. Effective as an after exercise remedy in all body aches.

This is the only skill he learned taught by his father but made him this strong, for he knows that his body will always be repaired.

Stephen changed his clothes as he climbed down to eat. His mother packed his launch after he finished eating.

"This is your backpack and launch, go home early okay!", her mother said as she kissed her at his cheeks.

"Yes Mom!", he replied.

As he walks to school, he constantly hears gossips of the undead nearing the borders.

"I hope it's not the end of our fate yet! but the knights and soldiers will protect us because they are strong!", he said in his heart

He probably said this because his uncle is a knight that teaches him how to fight the undead and said that they have a weakness-it was their head. And there's also the walls!

So he walks to school meeting other students; whether they are n.o.bles, farmers' son or a commoner, they are free to go to school because the kingdom is short of soldiers to defend the kingdom.

His grandfather is a retired mage at the mage academy and his uncle Dante is a Protector Knight that has a s.h.i.+eld and his favorite is mace or hammer.

While his other uncle-Allan Burg is a paladin of the royal family that uses two-handed swords.

His two uncles wanted him to train heavy lifting

[Heavy lifting] - a pa.s.sive skill that lets him lift and swing heavy weapons like hammer and maces including two-handed swords.

He thought that his body will be torn apart lifting and swinging but luckily he has a skill [Minor heal], his one and only skill so far that helped him be at ease.

He has pieces of training from them since childhood and maybe has the capacity to become a squire but he is still not an official student of the academy.

He is a 13-year-old student that will go to high school and at that time he will have an apt.i.tude test on which cla.s.ses he's capable of graduation. After his graduation in high school, he will be given a chance to train on which job cla.s.ses he is capable of in college.

There are many cla.s.ses that he can pick whether a fighter, squire, scout, thief, ronin, and other magical cla.s.ses like a mage, necromancer, and except which is in the inborn characteristics like shapes.h.i.+fters (Lycans and druids).

The basic skills are thought in high school but his job cla.s.s depends on what he will excel at in high school that will be his job cla.s.s at college. Meanwhile, advanced skills are thought in college.

Many survivor clans take refuge at the Almaria kingdom to escape the horde. The kingdom is independent and has vast land and is covered by walls.

The plague seemed to affect the lands which are why the Fallen kingdoms are abandoned and others take refuge at Almaria kingdom.

Here, they formed an alliance to destroy the infected lands and reconquer the lost kingdoms.

The researchers then found an antidote and distributed it to the kingdom but the transformed are beyond help.

Only death is the consequence of the transformed and then one hundred years pa.s.sed as they soon began to go outside and patrolling the neighbor lands. The Almaria kingdom is protected by the mountain ranges and the only way to enter is through the Tirad pa.s.s, which is sealed by the heroes one hundred years from the past.

The alliance of Mages, Holy Knights, Dread Knights, Rangers, a.s.sa.s.sins, and Ronins then formed an academy but the Druids, Lycans, and the Necromancers are elusive and they teach only their skill to their young ones in secrecy. After they thought them, they let them enter the academy through winning their coming of age ceremony.

As he pa.s.sed by at the market, he observed that the sellers and customers are enjoying their talk with each other then someone in the crowd shouted

"They're here! They are coming! It's the Eagle corps"

As he hurriedly walked and make his pace faster, he saw a brigade of Knights accompanied by mixed parties that successfully recovered the Navasca Fort. They left some people in the Garrison and will be provided with a.s.sistance and food weekly.

The people cheered to them as they waved their hands.

He pushes himself to the crowd to make a good sight because he's so small.

He waved his hands as he saw his father at the parade.

His father did saw him too at the thick crowd and Stephen smiled with pride as he clenched his fist and put it on his chest making a salute-like-posture.

He nearly forgot that he is going to school so he turned back and went to school running.
