61 Spar Cont.

In Zhao Wei's spars even with Panda and Myra, he was always on the defensive as all their stats were more powerful than his. Even then as beasts, they always played with other beasts, so when sparing with Zhao Wei, injuries would frequently occur. He didn't have s.p.a.ce to be lenient, else his head would fall off with one of Myra's playful bites.

If Zhao Wei used any of his weapons, a similar scene was bound to happen. He back rolled away from Solith into a standing position, stepped forward and reached out his hand. Solith could only stare up in a daze before he reached out his own hand to accept a.s.sistance.

Facing each other, Solith did a slight bow, "Thank you for the lesson."

Zhao Wei didn't know what gesture to reply with so he cupped a fiat in a palm like he sap in I* Man. "My pleasure" he said as he pumped it forward.

Suddenly, his weapons flew, landing right next to his feet. A tooth blade, a spear and his staff. He looked in the direction of his carriage to see Kitsi smiling playfully. "I hope you don't think you could beat me with a kitchen knife as well..."

Zhao Wei felt a little troubled by these series of events, kicking up his staff from the ground, he took his stance. Out of all of his weapons, his staff was the least lethal. Even against beasts it was us d purely for defense due to his toughness while the rest were used to kill.

Out of everyone here, Zhao Wei considered Kitsi to be the strongest. Although Eyisha has great talent, she was still untapped potential. Whereas Kitsi had already spent years perfecting her craft. While they both were somewhat the same level, where as the view of Eyisha's tantra was powerful it was also erratic where as Kitsi's was solid and steady like a pulse.

They both didn't need a signal, there was tacit understanding that the fight had begun. Kitsi used twin scimitars, the curved blades took away it's thrusting capabilities, but it amplified the swings by a large margin. Additionally, the form of the blade allowed better reach of the body's blind spots, covering them in a moments notice. It was perfect for offense and defense in the dual wield department.

What Zhao Wei was frightened of however, was her tail. He'd viewed the spars, and revisited his own. And he'd noticed that the rest of the Naga warriors under her had very singular thought processes. If they used their sword, they used their swords, if they used their tail it was only their tail.

On the other hand, Kitsi's tail was playfully flicking between her left and right sides. If there was any weakness to the scimitars it would be that they were too proficient on the upper body. for the legs it was mostly up to the person's footwork and wit. With the scimitar's weight, dipping low to protect the legs would leave an opening.

But that was only for humans, even for kiciking they would have to s.h.i.+ft their balance to one leg which if unsuccessful left them open. On the other hand, the nagas tail were versatile, their mid sections would be the base they stood on, while the rest could cool or fold which would propel them. The tip of the tail acted like a third arm.

While her sword slashes would protect her top, her bottom would be protected by her tail. Her swords were both held to the left. Her left arm was outstretched while her right hand laid the blade of her scimitar on her sleeve.

She slid forward slowly, she was very clear of her advantage. As long as she pressed Zhao Wei, her attack coverage would corner him. And if he met an obstacle, she could go all out and he'd be the one on the losing end.

Zhao Wei instantly regretted choosing the staff. Although it was hard, he was sure he couldn't defend against more than 2 points of attack. This was a difference in level of techniques, she was already comfortable with her style of fighting, while he didn't have a style to speak of.

It was a chess match where she had several different moves at her disposal and Zhao Wei had two, attack and defend. She was getting nearer as she initiated her move set, spinning her blades around her alternately creating a barrier of furiously flas.h.i.+ng edges.

Zhao Wei's mind was spinning, this was different than fighting beasts which was a battle of ferocity, every move he visualized in his mind would lead him to cornering himself and end in virtual defeat.

Then he thought of something that might work, though it wasn't really a move for fighting. As her blades came closer and closer, Zhao Wei rushed in for a thrust with the spear. But before the spear collided it dipped towards the ground, sticking one end deep into the ground. On the other end Zhao Wei had jumped and used his staff to go above Kitsi.

Kitsi thought she undertood what he meant and turned to prepare for his landing. But Zhao Wei didn't land. He was actually perched on the staff, just as she thought she caught him. He caught her.

He dove down quickly leaving his staff behind still standing. Kitsi has understood the distraction and turned while swinging her blade around. But Zhao Wei had ducked and entered into super close quarters it was difficult to utilize her weapons in such a position where Zhao Wei was basically hugging her.especially since the scimitar didn't have a stabbing point.

She tried to use her tail to pry him off but he stuck close to her body and moved from her front to her back like a c.o.c.kcroach avoiding being beaten. Before she could put maneuver herself again, his 'claws' had latched around her throat.

Although still skeptical, she could admit that she lost this match as she knew what those fingers could do. Eyisha didn't join which delighted Zhao Wei, how would he explain himself if he laid a finger on her even if it was during a spar.
