54 Tantra

Eyisha was wondering what was going on at first but suddenly became enraged. "Kitsi!! you're being rude!!"

"But milady, we don't know..."

"Enough! if he'd wanted to do me harm he'd had plenty of chances in the attack before" She shut her off quickly.

To be honest, she was making a guess, she actually couldn't see anything from the surface. Thinking it through she thought of the abilities of her aid and could only come up with a reason that w.a.n.g Zhao Hui would react in such a way. But when she came up with such a reason, she was more inspired by the man in front of her.

In her tribe there was an ability called the Tantra, it could be imbued into the flesh or weapons to add strength or give certain traits like poison or acid into the attacks allowing warriors to cut through steel like mud if they could develop it that far. The cla.s.ses that a warrior is bestowed with in her tribe didn't depend on physical strength alone but their abilities in manipulating the Tantra.

A stone cla.s.s had essentially only entered the Tantra training and could barely use it to enhance their physical abilities. A copper cla.s.s, would be able to generate their Tantra outwards to add impact or a sharp edge into their body parts. Silver cla.s.ses like Kitsi and Eyisha would attain an attribute to the Tantra, usually in the form of poison or acid attacks and can extend their Tantra to their weapons.

A gold cla.s.s had so much Tantra that they were able to generate blasts with their Tantra, impacting enemies from a distance or even solidify their Tantra into weapons. All of these existences had followed her father into the war.

A diamond cla.s.s was the stuff of legends as it was told that with their Tantra, these existences were able to turn nature itself into their playthings. If one of these stepped into a battlefield, they could turn an area into well springs of life for their companions or a sea of fiery h.e.l.l for their enemies.

Though the list seemed short, each of these steps were harder than the next. A child would reach the stone cla.s.s by the age of 15 if they had kept a steady routine training since they were born. Most adults would reach the bronze cla.s.s sooner or later.

Starting from the silver cla.s.s and up, there were deep chasms called talent that a person needed to pay in order to step into the next stage. Even for the silver cla.s.s, a person at the initial stages and a person at the final stages would be like heaven and earth apart in strength, capabilities and usually years. For most, this was where their path would stop for the rest of their lives.

In her tribe, a gold cla.s.s was ensured of a t.i.tle or position in the military regardless of their achievements but even those numbers didn't reach more than 20 and even those men including her father had a foot in the grave due to old age.

When she'd first seen the man in front of her, from the pressure his Tantra gave off, she considered him to be between the bronze and silver cla.s.s. Only when she saw him materialize the glowing blue vines and destroy the two a.s.sailants who were in silver cla.s.s as well did she consider him to be in the level of a gold cla.s.s.

This confused her as she had never met a gold cla.s.s who concealed their Tantra pressure, for the lower cla.s.ses, this skill could be used to do hidden attacks and such. But for gold cla.s.s, their existences were so few and far in between that anyone they met could be destroyed by their power, there was no need to use such tactics.

Unfortunately, she didn't know that Zhao Wei had a thing called the system which allowed him to use his skills and that his physical strength came purely from his body. If he'd been able to use the flow to enhance his physical strength, the tridents wouldn't be able to even pierce through his pinky.

The greatest thing was that this man could perceive the use of Tantra. Usually, to recognize the use of Tantra, a person had to perceive the effect of the persons attack. This person however had seen the Tantra Kitsi was collecting in her arm which was never heard of before.

While Eyisha was in awe of the person, Kitsi was frightened. She could feel it if Tantra was activated to enhance physical abilities as she was in the later stages of the silver cla.s.s, being a few years older than Eyisha.

She knew that in the fight with the a.s.sa.s.sins he'd already been able to perceive others using their Tantras as his deflections and parries never touched the sections of the weapons that were covered by it.

Worst part was, he didn't even use Tantra to increase his strength which was why the others thought he was weak at first. To match a person whose strength had been augmented by Tantra with physical abilities alone was unheard of except from the wild beasts, but that was because Tantra was formed for a persons strength to reach the level of wild beasts in the first place.

While both of them were ruminating over the person in front of them, his mind was going off somewhere else. He'd been observing their flow since the fight, for his traps, he always stored a certain amount of energy from the flow which he would put outside later on. His flow and his traps were always sort of detached from each other.

For them however, their flow moved through their body, from their chest to their arms and limbs, like a coil around their bodies. When they needed it, they would collect the flow into a certain area and give it an attribute.

Where as the flow of each person was different, their colors were quite bright and pure whether it be red, blue or green. But if they were given attributes, the color would change like the two a.s.sa.s.sins whose tridents had a bubbling purple aura wrapped around it.

He thought maybe if he could connect the flow to his body like they did, he'd be able to use the a.s.similation for his body and skills without risking damage which was a huge hindrance in combat. He'd already tried to redirect the flow in his body but it felt like something was blocking it from moving away from the s.p.a.ce with his trap molds.

Maybe theirs were different?
