162 Speaking To Myra

"Little girls shouldn't use such languages." Thirteen smiled.

"Shut up!" Five beat his chest.

A hand rested on her shoulders, looking back she saw the invigilator tower over her. "Congrats child, to be honest I wouldn't have expected this outcome, but in the end we don't really know how everything will end do we?... I will give you some time for your final goodbye just find me over there when you've finished the job."

Five was surprised, this exam was a right of pa.s.sage, one had to kill the other, and to be honest she was prepared to face it for quite some time. For Thirteen to kill himself was against the rules and the both of them should've been killed as consequence. But she realized not a second too late that the collide was planned by Thirteen, even if the invigilator was skilled, he wasn't omniscient, he couldn't see what was being covered by their bodies, to him it just looked like five made a final come back.

She looked at Thirteen who was getting paler by the moment. Looking at her sad eyes, Thirteen smiled, "Something on my face?"

Five didn't know what to say, in the end the boy in front of her saved her, it was much more than she could make up for. "Do you remember your name? You know the ones your parents gave you." She asked.

"Why do you ask?" His face showed surprise for the first time.

"I... I don't know, I guess I just want to know..." She replied.

"I haven't used my name in 4 years... I think it was Raye or Roy or something." He spoke his voice getting weaker.

"Oh right..." Five no longer knew what to say... She simply waited next to the body until life left the boy.

Finally she stood up and went to meet the invigilator. "Finished?" he asked.

"Yes sir." She replied coldly.

"By the way, I know you're from a team of two but I need to know which number you are so that I can report to headquarters." The invigilator spoke as he walked forward.

"I'm... Thirteen." She answered.

Jeff knew exactly who she was the moment Zhao Wei carried her in. He'd seen the boy kill himself, it was his job to finish of the both of them. But seeing him do something like that, he couldn't help but respect the kid and turn a blind eye. When else could he meet a kid who would throw away his life so easily for a friend. Even among adults there were almost none to speak of whatsoever.

When he found out she was going to follow Zhao Wei, he felt a little responsible for the girl. At the very least, as a former Blood child he could train her faster than she could hope to accomplish on her own. With her current speed she would be too slow, the boy was always fighting things above his own weight cla.s.s, even if he came out okay, the same couldn't be said for the girl if she'd joined the fray. And even now he was growing at a tremendous speed, Jeff wasn't even sure how heavy his cuffs were at this point, if he kept punching above his weight, what kind of monsters would he be facing in the future.

Set against his current group, Thirteen's prowess was definitely the lowest despite her skills, she'd just be a target to exploit if she stayed with them with her current growth.

At the very least he'd make sure she'd keep her life.

Finally, Zhao Wei finished the third carriage, of course he couldn't leave it as is, who ever heard of a vehicle towing a restaurant behind it. So he reinforced the outer walls of the restaurant so that at the very least it wouldn't directly break from impact. Additionally, he made the front of the restaurant face outwards, modifying the shade so that it would be changeable.

When on the move the shade would be lowered, closing the restaurant and turning into a pretty decent wall, if they ever met another civilization however, The shade could be pulled back up to reveal the restaurant hiding behind it.

Zhao Wei wasn't too apprehensive about them coming along for the ride, it got pretty weird talking to Panda and Myra sometimes. Especially Myra, Panda could somehow speak with him properly, but Myra spoke in one word sentences.

He could ask her "How're you."

And she'd answer with, "Hungry, Hungry, Hungry, Hungry.." or "Sleepy, Sleepy, Sleepy, Sleepy..." or something along those lines, he got the gist of it, but it was still weird, at least to him.

Worst was if he asked her something he shouldn't have asked, like when he asked her what she was going to do to her captured prey or if he asked her where she was going just as she wanted to relieve herself. Those were conversations he definitely didn't want a repeat of.
