158 New Perspective

Myra always stayed with the second carriage, she would sleep the whole morning but when she came out at night, she'd leave the carriage for awhile before coming back hours later with one or two kills in her jaws.

Panda on the other hand treated the carriage like a play ground, jumping from room to room and floor to floor. Sometimes giving Zhao Wei a good kick in the back once she got bored.

Like this they'd travelled 4 days and nights before Zhao Wei found the thing he was looking for.

The oasis, the same crater the giant whale had created as it left, the same exact spot he'd met Kitsi and Eyisha for the first time. Finally he could continue his journey.

As per usual, he located the direction he was going, a straight line from the hill he lived at before. After the two environments he'd been in, he couldn't really say that he'd like to repeat some of the experiences he's had.

For some reason right now, as he began to move towards his next one, he was a little excited. Looking at the dunes that stretched behind him, for once he basked in it's beauty, the calm sands that were ever s.h.i.+fting and the bright sun that seemed right at home in it's sky.

The difference came from his confidence. When he first arrived, he was extremely cautious, always looking for things that were after his life.

But after he'd killed the Jormugandr, one which killed almost everything else, there was a calm in him, at least if he didn't meet the whale, he would be able to easily keep his life.

Suddenly a small crash in one of the rooms in the second carriage alerted him. Panda and Myra who were on top looked alerted and looked worried as they tried to keep him away from going in there.

He wondered what kind of beast they smelled, he himself could only smell blood thick and heavy, he took out his staff and moved past them.

Cautiously opening the door, he saw something moving at him at an extreme speed, it's body was red and flowing, bathed in the blood of its last kill.

Zhao Wei being at the door way couldn't dodge out of its path as it knocked into his body, raising his staff to strike down he suddenly found it extremely heavy.

Looking behind him he saw Myra biting on to his staff, did she betray him?

Suddenly the beast on top of him coughed, but it was the low heavy voice of a beast but a high pitched cough like a little girl's.

Letting go of his staff he picked both himself and the little girl up and pulled her hood off.

"Thirteen?" He was quite surprised that she was here, in his last days in the kingdom he hadn't seen her at all even after he looked, her and the old man.

He put her down and went inside once more, behind one of the stacks of item boxes he saw some sleeping bags and some noodles.

"Come out! I know you're there old man!" Zhao Wei shouted.

"Fine! It was getting stuffy here anyway!" Jeff revealed himself from behind some boxes.

"Why are you here?" Zhao Wei interrogated. "And why'd you bring a little girl ...Could you be!?" A look of horror flashed across Zhao Wei's eyes, the dark corner, the close beds.

Zhao Wei's eyes turned scary. "I understand you think you can do whatever you want in the wilderness, but I must exact judgement on you."

"What the heck are you talking about!!" Jeff ran outside. "Myra, your master's gone crazy." Just as he was about to reach her, she dodged and gave him a look that said 'don't drag me down with you' in a flash she reappeared next to Zhao Wei, nuzzling up to his hand, whimpering at him. "I know girl I know, you were forced to hide him and his evil deeds."

"[email protected]#! Hey don't blame me it was all her idea!" Jeff pointed at Thirteen. "She's the one who said she wanted to come."

Zhao Wei, Panda and Myra lined up and gave a pitiful look towards the old man blaming his actions on a little girl.

"I'm telling the truth #t!" Jeff wanted to pull his hair out, it was like the master and his pets were coordinating to make him look like a bad guy. "Besides I have nowhere to go to if I go back, your big @#s! dog swallowed up my restaurant and forgot to vomit it back up!"

"Oh, she did, did she," An evil smile flashed across Zhao Wei's face as he looked at Myra.
