102 Multipliable

Entering his mental s.p.a.ce he was surprised to find it in the state it was in. Right now, it was like he was transported into a room full of water. At first he panicked a little as he tried to hold his breath only to realize he could still breathe normally. He had thought the s.p.a.ce was boundless before but now there were cracks here and there. Only after getting closer did he see that the cracks weren't on a surface on a wall but were dangling in mid air like contemporary art pieces.

As he observed them he saw that the cracks were still expanding. It would s.h.i.+ft continuously between shrinking and growing as the cracks tried to heal themselves. But whenever he felt the Mana was way too dense the cracks would inform hit that his senses were right by growing another inch.

For some reason the sensation of being here seemed very similar to how he felt when he entered the black gate of the kingdom, if that part appeared as the world changed and his system had arrived at around the same time allowing him to access this mana, there may be a bigger connection to both than he originally thought.

Moving around he found where his Wrap Trap mold used to be, next to the Bite Trap mold. But in its place was a huge bubble s.h.i.+ning bubble with a black clay like version of his Wrap Trap inside. Looking at it in such a state the first thing he thought was, "It looks like the face-grabber from Alien... would that make him the queen?..."

When he touched it the figure squirmed a little, as if it reacted to his mind. His hand subconsciously retracted from it, after observing no change in it again, he touched it again and the figure came to life. He tried to pa.s.s the bubble but couldn't, it was a very new feeling to him, it wasn't as if there was a wall or surface stopping him, just that somehow his hands would not move beyond the bubble.

But he found that it could change with his thoughts, as long as he willed it. He could lengthen, shorten, thicken and thin in our as long as it retained it original face grabber shape. Finally he tried something different, he added hooks to the end of the tentacles And along the inner side. In his mind they would act like barbs that stopped anyone from thinking of simply pulling them off as it would rip deeper:

It felt almost like a game and this was the skin he was going to use for his equipment. When he let go of the bubble however, the bubble sphere began to rumble. It shook and began to vibrate rapidly splitting into two distinct shadows from the speed alone.

But in reality they had really begun to split into two!! As the vibrations became more intense and the images grew until it was about a meter apart, and with a satisfying pop! The sphere had completely become two.

One contained the former shape of the ordinary Wrap Trap while the other was a mirror image of the one he just made. Instantly he felt that the new one began to be flooded by the Mana around it as well.

He finally had another trap!! though not in a way he expected. As he thought so, he turned to look at one of the cracks nearby. It wasn't healing fast enough but the cracks in the s.p.a.ce which usually expanded every 15 minutes or so seemed to slow down by a few minutes.

It was probably the fact that he had a new trap or trap type which would increase the total number of types he is required to charge which balanced off the extreme levels of mana generation. This put less pressure on his s.p.a.ce and bought him more time.

He decided to make another one. Too bad his Bite Trap mold was still intact despit showing several cracks on its surfaces. He worked on the Wrap Trap again but this time he made the tentacles super thin but condensed it to be much tougher despite its small size. He considered this one quite easily as he had the effects mapped out in his mind.

This Wrap Trap's thin line combined with its strength would cause the thread like tentacles to dig into the flesh and cut off any circulation. In some cases it might even cut through the flesh and muscles like a garrote. Once again he released the sphere and it split into another trap that absorbed some of the mana he had built up. But it still wasn't completely enough to surpa.s.s the amount of mana generation.

He could've made another one, he thought. But decided against it as he was long overdue for a new kind of trap and the last Wrap Trap variant he made gave him the idea that he would develop upon
