17 Journey To God's Blade

But that's not the problem for now, Tang Ling had to travel to the G.o.dSword City with a letter in his Inventory. 100km to go.

With a map bought from a travelling merchant for 100 coppers, he could see many cities-checkpoint or something. In his way, he could see monsters but they were weak. Very weak. But he still took his time to collect their meat in fur and placed in his backpack. He only had 6 slots, he couldn't waste it right ?

After an hour, Tang Ling finally reached the nearest village. He was really grateful of the service shown by the villagers but also to his Sister Tailor Huang. This robe was boosted ! It gave him extra stamina and reduced his consumption of it.

After staying in the village for a few minutes to rest and sold the fur and meat for a cheap price as an 'extra' for the sincere treatments. The fur and meat was pretty good but it was from low-leveled beasts so it wasn't valuable; he gained about 1 silvers from it.

(Author Note : 1 gold = 100 silvers = 10000 coppers)

Tang Ling left the village and continued his journey.

"Dammit, I actually have to travel 100 km ?!" cursed Tang Ling. What the h.e.l.l, while he could run 10 kilometers without breaking a sweat, 100 was still too much !

Tang Ling ran at full speed while killing every monsters he saw.

After an hour or so, Tang Ling saw a mysterious rabbit on a rock. The rabbit was purple and had red eyes, as he didn't have enough knowledge he didn't know what species was it. But he knew that it wasn't a normal rabbit. Beasts here were around LV 8-15 and usually alone. It was why Tang Ling could advance quickly. Tang Ling readied his sword before the cute rabbit easily transformed into a giant beast.

Under combat, the System gave him the opponent name.

[Chaos Rabbit LV10 (Field Boss) HP : 3000]

Chaos Rabbit ? Tang Ling didn't know what was it (well he didn't know anything...) but the rabbit here was a huge threat. 3000 HP wasn't something he could take care easily.

Tang Ling readied a posture; the Eight Postures and immediately used the Eight Posture Mouvements to approach the opponent. The Void Rabbit reacted at this closing-gap and swung his paws against him.

As he was too fast, the attack failed to reach its target and Tang Ling immediately the speciality move of Inch.

BAM ! The punch-power was intense and the Void Rabbit immediately lost its stability and began to struggle. Tang Ling didn't let the monster regain its equilibrium and used his straight sword slash at his opponent.

"Ya !" Under these unnatural sword moves, was imbued of the profound wisdom of Baiji and Sword Intent. After a unleas.h.i.+ng all his qi power against the beast, the beast was filled of wounds but was still struggling to be alive. But Tang Ling finished it with a stab on its head.

The Chaos Rabbit died and transformed in a purple gaz and entered his body.

[Chaos Creatures : Chaos Creatures are born from the Chaos itself. Mysterious creatures, they take the power-level of the first person they see and are more powerful than the normal stage. These Chaos Creatures have the habit to create havoc in the world so it's a great merit to slay those wretched creatures !]

Although exhausted, Tang Ling felt a huge sense of accomplishment. He had gained 10 slots of Inventory afterall ! He was also a little curious about these Chaos Creatures, they seemed very dangerous but how could someone handle them, they were 10x time stronger than normal and they copied their cultivation and he wondered; did Chaos Creatures had any orders or hierarchy ?

These questions would remain unknown.

Tang Ling then continued the travel, in his way, he saw a ranch in the road. There was a old man and a young girl taking a few horses with them. They seemed desolate and sad.

Tang Ling approached them and asked :

"Uh. Old man, what's happened ?" It was pretty strange, the ranch looked fine so why the family seemed so sad ?

"Young man, you see, this land is owned by the Red Pa.s.s, but our land has long been desolate and our business is pretty much dead. We don't have enough finance to keep us living anymore. So we need to abandon this land and go to a random town to work." said the frail old man. "Cough ! Cough !"

"Grandpa !" the little girl cried. It was the disease that grandpa had but didn't have enough money to get himself cured !

Looking at the sick old man, Tang Ling panicked a little bit; while he lived in the slums, he still maintain a good heart. It was after a few situations that he lost hope in society. Tang Ling looked at the old man and attested its state. He then went searching for a few herbs to then crush it with a his palm and reduced it to powder.

[Cold-Calming Powder (Common-Trash) (Etc)

A medicine made of Fin Flowers which is known for its all-resistance. Crushed into powder with several mild ingredients, it is a good way to relieve cold for old and young; it also have a minor effect to cure a certain extent of ailment or bad status.-20% effectiveness as it was made in the wild.]

After finis.h.i.+ng his work, a bead of sweat could be seem on Tang Ling's forehead. He then gave it to the girl :

"Take this, mix it with water then let your old man drink it. This will help him alleviate the cold."

The old man trembled and said :"Mister, you're a doctor ?"

Tang Ling smiled but shook his head : "No, wandering travellers need to have a basic understanding of medicine like this to survive. I'm far from the great profession of Doctors"

Then he gave a few silvers.

"Mister ! You can't give us your money ! It's too precious ! You've already helped us !"said the little girl.

Seeing the uneasy girl, Tang Ling grinned. "Who said I donated ? I want a horse !"
