Chapter 10: Put his arm around her shoulders

It so happened that the driver stepped on the brake when a motorcycle suddenly run past them, and Lu Xingzhi who could not sit firmly first b.u.mped her head against the front seat, then fell backwards, where Huo Jinchen extended his arms to support her.

“Thank you!” Lu Xingzhi blushed red. In their short meeting, she has fallen into his arms too many times.

She even wondered if she was being deliberate.

Before she could get up and sit back again, she heard Huo Jinchen's seductive voice ringing in her ears: “Be careful.”

“En!” Lu Xingzhi straightened her back again.

“It's going to take two hours to get to the airport. It'd be more comfortable if you lean back.” Huo Jinchen directly wound his arm around her waist and let his other hand push her shoulders, letting her lean on the backrest. Then with a low teasing voice, he quipped: “Rest a.s.sured, I don't eat people.”

Lu Xingzhi glanced at him, her deer-like clear, innocent eyes blinked, and said solemnly:”I know.”

Huo Yuchen's lips couldn't help but rise a bit. He was just teasing her, but her serious reply almost cracked him up.

Lu Xingzhi probably relaxed for it didn't take long before she fell asleep.

It wasn't until the car stopped at the airport gate that Lu Xingzhi opened her eyes in confusion, hearing Huo Jinchen calling out to her.

As she has just woken up, her hair was in a mess as was with her teary eyes. As she blinked, her curly long lashes swayed up and down like two fans.

Her eyes stared dazedly at Huo Jinchen, like soft bud inviting people to have a pinch.

Furthermore, she looked a bit sweet.

The image of a sweetheart.

“Uncle?” Lu Xingzhi's melodious voice rang in a low pitched, crisp and raspy tone.

Huo Jinchen's throat suddenly dried up and covered it up with an unnatural cough. Still, pursuing his urge, he stretched his fingers and pinched her delicate cheeks.

Lu Xingzhi rubbed her eyes and slowly sobered up. She looked out the window: “Have we arrived?”

“En, get off!”

“Okay.”

Inside, after check-in was completed, while they were heading towards security check, they heard a man calling out.

“Xingzhi.”

Lu Xingzhi followed the source of the voice: “Han Chengran?”

“I…” Han Chengran just wanted to say something, but his attention was caught by Huo Jinchen standing beside Lu Xingzhi.

The vibe this man gives off is too intimidating. He's certain that he's absolutely not from L city. The kind of superiority from his bearing is nothing but powerful.

“Xingzhi, this is?”

“My uncle.” Lu Xingzhi did not want to let people know that she has such a fiancé.

Uncle?

The slits of Huo Jinchen's eyes slightly narrowed.

“h.e.l.lo, uncle.” Han Chengral greeted politely.

A twinge of guilt pinched Lu Xingzhi's heart.

She dared not look up at Huo Jinchen and instead introduced them with her scalps tingling: “Uncle, this is my cla.s.smate, Han Chengran.”

Huo Jinchen gave Han Chengran a once over

He's about the same age as Lu Xingzhi, standing at 1.8 meter or so, wearing smart clothes, with stunning facial features.

He is the kind of guy that young girls would like!

“Zhi zhi, time's almost up. Let's go in!” Huo Jinchen naturally wrapped her arm around her shoulders.

“Okay.” Lu Xingzhi was disconcerted. She politely waved her hand toward Han Chengran and followed Huo Jinchen to the security check.

It took a while before she could react. Did Huo Jinchen just called her Zhizhi?

And also wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

When the two arrived at the terminal, Huo Jinchen glanced at her: “He isn't a boyfriend, is he?”
