“Hahahaha!” The woman was laughing hysterically, and the bandages were contorted in a strange way as she laughed. The woman’s hoa.r.s.e voice made her laughter especially caustic.

“What an amazing feeling!” the woman remarked and she looked at Ling Tianya’s bright red cheeks and she rubbed her palms that were stinging as well. She quickly reached out and lifted Ling Tianya’s chin and said coldly, “How’s that? Does your face hurt?”

Ling Tianya was silent. The woman felt a little deflated when Ling Tianya ignored her. She held onto Ling Tianya’s chin tightly and yelled in her face, “I’m asking you! Does your face hurt? Answer me! Are you mute?”

“My face is made of flesh. Of course, it hurts when you hit me.”

She could tell that the woman had become hysterical. From her perspective, Ling Tianya knew that she wanted her to beg for mercy. Ling Tianya also knew that that would do nothing for her. It would never satisfy her desire for vengeance. It would only make things worse.
