The only downside to hard stone would be its lackl.u.s.tre appearance, it didn't s.h.i.+ne, nor did anything about it stand out in any way, it just looked like regular old stone. The only thing special about it would be its durability or in other words 'hardness'.

But, to the audience, none of that mattered. To the Bai clan, this arena represented proving one's own strength to the clan and the world, as for the rest of the audience this arena would allow them to see what the strength of this generation of the Bai clan would amount to. They couldn't give two danms about its appearance.

All they cared about was learning all they could, speaking of which why was the other lad taking so long. Looking around they found a paralyzed Bai Gu, with a blank expression on his face.

"Poor lad to scared to even move" was what the majority of the audience thought, but even so no one looked down on because they knew this would be where his journey ends. Before he even would have a chance to prove himself he was handed a pre-determined lose.

But contrary to what everyone believed, Bai Gu face became ecstatic laughing out load he spoke with a tone of voice that shocked everyone. That's right this heaven d.a.m.ned Bai Gu was actually celebrating a granted loose. Did he not care for face, did he not care for honer, did he not want to prove himself. Was he a m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.t.

Any form of pity that was sent Bai Gu way, was intently replaced with loathing, just what the h.e.l.l was wrong with this fellow.

Shaking with excitement Bai Gu proceded to the middle of the peac.o.c.ks head right into the arena. Looking at supreme master Dong'er with his calm persona, Bai Gu couldn't help but let out another round of laughter. "Haha, I Bai Gu I'm someone truly one blessed by the heavens!"

Bai Gu father, the elder in charge of this event really wished to find a hole to hide in again. But alas it seemed some people were still awed by his earlier display and were still looking at him from time to time. He really wished he could go back to being ignored.

"Well, whatever no one knows I'm related to that ido..." Before he could finish that thought he heard his son's voice ring throughout the arena.

"Look father didn't I tell you that I Bai Gu was someone blessed by the heavens" Bai Gu spoke while pointing at his father almost as if he didn't think looking at him while speaking was enough.

While the elder in charge was contemplating suicide at the moment, Bai Gu voice echoed through the arena yet again. "Don't worry father, I your son have a plan that will let me last longer then anyone else against supreme master Dong'er, I won't let you down."

Hearing what he said the crowd went wild, last longer than anyone else now those were some big words. The outsiders took a more series look at Bai Gu, while the members of the Bai clan where trying to figure out when Bai Gu got so good at bragging. After all, this was supreme master Dong'er the kind of talent that only appears once every thousand years if the stars align that is.

And he was bragging being able to last longer than anyone else, they had to respect the part of him that had the guts to say something like that. Even if he was just bragging.

Suddenly a thought appeared in everyone's mind, turning to look at the elder in charge they couldn't help but think that he would help his son out, if not just to keep face after a grand proclamation like that.

Seeing everyone stare at him the elder couldn't help but snort, speaking with that terrifying yet righteous voice of his, "I am an esteemed elder of the Bai clan no matter the scenario or 'who' is involved I will always stay neutral, and follow the teachings of the Bai clan. Even my own son can't sway my mind."

The audience was rea.s.sured, he wouldn't pick favourites, letting the audience explode yet again.

"Haha, I always knew brother Gu would turn into someone awesome, I bet 100 spirt stones he'll last 2 minutes."

"2 Minutes, haha don't make me laugh I'll bet you 200 spirit stones he won't last even 20 seconds let alone 2 minutes."

Simler conversations could be heard throughout the arena, everyone was looking forward to this fight now.

As for Bai Gu father he couldn't help but think to himself, "could it be that this son of mine turned awesome without me noticing." along with that thought a tingle of hope blossomed in this old man's heart.

Meanwhile, Bai Gu finally made his way to supreme master Dong'er, and the arena turned dead silent. Even master Dong'er was looking differently at this Bai Gu now.

Just as everyone thought the fight was about to begin Bai Gu confidently looked at Master Dong'er then proceded to speak "Before we start I'd like to let you know I'll give you 5 minutes to run away!"
